The agreement only bore Seraphina's signature; Dominic hadn't signed it yet.

The malice in her eyes deepened. She was determined to make this agreement binding. She would claim Dominic and everything the Lockwood family owned.

She carefully tucked the divorce papers away, brewed a cup of coffee, and turned on her computer. Suddenly, an email notification popped up on her screen.

"You've got to be kidding me..."

She slammed her mug down so hard that coffee splashed all over the proposal on her desk.

It was the presentation for the upcoming quarter's jewelry launch, and every single core design relied entirely on that anonymous email address.

When she first joined the company three years ago, she had been a low-level clerk in the administrative department, armed with zero experience and even less talent.

She had studied jewelry design, but she had absolutely no portfolio to speak of and was constantly looked down upon by everyone.

The moment she laid eyes on those sketches, she was absolutely blown away. She instantly recognized it as the raw talent her professors had always told her she lacked.

Consumed by jealousy, she devised a way to intercept those uncredited designs, resubmitting them under her own name. She had ridden those stolen designs all the way up to the position of Design Director.

Dominic had been incredibly impressed by 'her' work, and their professional success had drawn them closer personally.

Lauren rapidly hammered away at her keyboard, firing off a desperate reply:

[Sir, is there some kind of misunderstanding? Our collaboration has been wonderful. If you aren't happy with the compensation, we can renegotiate. Please give me a chance. We can even meet in person.]
