Seraphina's wrist throbbed from his grip. She struggled, but couldn't break free.
"Give it back."
Dominic didn't move. He stared down at the video playing on the screen.
"Why did you record this?"
"Why do you think?" Seraphina tilted her chin up defiantly. "To keep it as a souvenir?"
Dominic's eyes grew even colder.
Cynthia stepped out of the shadows, walking over to Dominic's side. She reached out and grasped his arm. "Dominic, let it go. Don't fight with her."
She shot Seraphina a look, her eyes filled with pity.
"I wasn't asking you."
Seraphina's gaze swept across Cynthia's face.
Cynthia's expression stiffened for a second.
Dominic asked, "Did you film this to blackmail me? Or are you planning to sell it?"
Seraphina scoffed.
"Dominic, how much do you think you're worth?"
Dominic let out a cold snort. His thumb tapped the delete button, erasing the file completely, before shoving the phone back into her hand.
"If I catch you doing this again, I won't hold back. Move."
He released her wrist and turned to leave.
Seraphina stumbled back from his shove, twisted her ankle, lost her balance, and crashed heavily to the floor.
Her lower back slammed into the sharp edge of the wall, sending a blinding shot of pain through her.
She let out a muffled groan, a sheen of cold sweat instantly breaking out on her forehead.
Hearing the noise behind him, Dominic's footsteps paused.
He glanced over his shoulder.
Seraphina was half-kneeling on the floor, propping herself up with one hand while clutching her side with the other, her face pale.
Dominic's gaze lingered on her for a second, his brow twitching slightly.
But he didn't say a word.
The corner of Cynthia's mouth curled up. Her gaze bypassed Dominic's shoulder and landed on Seraphina.
