Startled by the sudden intrusion, both Seraphina and Chelsea froze.

Yvette marched over and dropped into the seat directly across from Seraphina.

"You've got some nerve, Seraphina. I'm stuck waiting in line downstairs, and here you are, stuffing your face."

She crossed her legs, tilting her chin up haughtily. "Get up right now and serve us our food. Do you really have zero common sense?"

Sasha covered her mouth with a snicker, side-eying Seraphina as if watching a wildly entertaining show.

For years, Seraphina had waited on the Lockwood family hand and foot, constantly subjected to their bossy demands. Even Yvette's friends felt entitled to treat her like garbage.

Seraphina took a deep breath, refusing to move an inch.

Chelsea, however, had seen enough and moved to stand up to teach them a lesson.

Seraphina quickly placed a piece of meat on Chelsea's plate, signaling it was fine, she would handle this.

Chelsea looked back at her, and seeing the calm resolve in her friend's eyes, she settled back down.

When Yvette saw Seraphina moving at a sluggish pace, her annoyance flared. She furrowed her brow and slammed her hand against the table.

"I'm talking to you, didn't you hear me? Go get us some silverware."

Seraphina placed her fork down and met her gaze, her eyes calm but icy cold.

"Get out."

Yvette was stunned for a second.

"What did you say?"

"I said, please get out," Seraphina enunciated each word. "I am having dinner with a friend, and I am not in the mood to entertain you."

Yvette's face turned beet red. She shot to her feet, pointing an accusatory finger right at Seraphina's nose.

"You're out of your mind! You're a penniless housewife who leeches off my brother's money to gorge yourself in places like this, and now you actually have the audacity to kick me out?"

Her voice grew louder and shriller. "Let me tell you, don't push your luck! Do you want me to call my brother right now and have him throw you out of the Lockwood family?"

Chelsea's face darkened completely. She slammed her silverware down, ready to explode.
