Seraphina smiled faintly. "Which is exactly why I've finally seen their true colors and am leaving them for good."
Chelsea nodded. "That's the spirit."
She paused, furrowing her brow. "Their screaming is seriously killing my vibe. I'm going to have them dealt with."
Chelsea reached for the call button, but the commotion outside had already died down.
Drawn by the noise, the hotel manager had arrived with security, politely but firmly escorting Yvette and Sasha away. They were warned not to disturb the other dining guests and instructed to join the line downstairs if they wished to eat, otherwise they would be thrown out of the building.
Yvette was seething with rage. As a proud daughter of the Lockwoods, she had never been subjected to such humiliation.
But when she looked up, her eyes landed on a man.
Gideon Cole.
He was walking down the hallway, two assistants clad in black trailing closely behind his steady, measured strides.
His features were devoid of any excess emotion, yet he naturally exuded a commanding, intimidating aura.
This was the heir to the Cole family, the wealthiest dynasty in the Capital—a man of absolute, unparalleled power.
Yvette had been fortunate enough to meet him once when she accompanied her brother to the Capital a few years ago. That condescending, icy demeanor remained vividly etched in her memory.
What was he doing in Northport?
Then it hit her. Her family had mentioned that Gideon held several properties in Northport and visited a few times a year. In fact, this very restaurant, the most prestigious in the city, was owned by him.
She couldn't believe her luck at running into him here.
If she could just manage a conversation with him, it would draw a hundred times more envy than any dinner photo ever could.
Plus, maybe she could even convince him to kick Seraphina and her friend out of the building!
At that thought, Yvette instantly masked her fury, plastering on a fawning smile as she practically jogged forward to greet him.
But before she could even get close, one of Gideon's bodyguards extended a firm arm, blocking her path.
