Lana Whitaker dragged Jocelyn Quinn along to the Civil Aviation Expo.
Given her background in the Air Force during her time in the "Eagle Wing" Special Forces, Jocelyn naturally had an interest in aviation.
Several major private airlines from across the country were participating. The venue was packed not only with corporate representatives but also with aviation enthusiasts.
There were even plenty of parents who had brought their children to see the exhibits.
As soon as Lana arrived, she hurried off to network with upstream suppliers and hunt for business opportunities.
Jocelyn was more than happy to explore on her own.
Watching a family of four not too far away, her eyes grew slightly hot with emotion.
When she was little, her parents used to hold her and her brother's hands as they walked through exhibitions just like this. Back then, their family of four had been so genuinely happy.
And now... it was just her and her brother left!
Where could he be?
Regardless of what happened, she was determined to find him. She firmly believed he was still alive!
"You like children?" a familiar, cool voice suddenly asked right next to her ear.
She turned her head and saw Edgar Barrett, who had seemingly appeared out of nowhere to stand beside her.
"Mr. Barrett?" She paused, glancing around him. There were no bodyguards in sight. He looked as though he had come to the expo entirely alone.
"What are you looking at?" he asked.
"Where's your security detail?" she asked, curious.
"Having them trail right behind me would draw too much attention, so I've placed them in the shadows," Edgar replied.
Jocelyn swept her gaze over the surroundings, wondering just how many of the Barrett family's bodyguards were actually blending in with the crowd.
"Are you here alone?" Edgar asked.
