The Return of Special Forces Queen novel Chapter 23

No one expected her to mount the beast. The crowd watched in stunned silence as Jocelyn skillfully hauled back on the reins. Leaning forward, she locked her legs around the horse's sides and let it run.

Her fluid, practiced movements made it instantly clear to everyone: her equestrian skills were extraordinary.

Carter's jaw practically hit the floor. Watching her on horseback filled him with a bizarre sense of unfamiliarity. This was the woman he had been married to for three years, yet he never knew she was such a masterful rider.

With her hair whipping in the wind, she looked utterly fearless—like a true warrior.

In Carter's arms, Yolande was in equally deep shock. How could Jocelyn ride?

And not just ride, but control such a wild stallion!

Yolande prayed silently that she would be thrown off.

But to her bitter disappointment, Jocelyn wasn't thrown. Instead, after a few intense laps, the fierce stallion seemed to submit to her entirely, answering every one of her commands.

When she trotted the horse back to the group smoothly, a collective sigh of relief washed over the crowd. She had tamed it!

The horse came to a halt, and she slid off its back.

Carter still hadn't processed his shock. "When... when did you learn to ride like that?"

"Does it matter?" she replied coldly.

He was left speechless.

Jocelyn's gaze shifted to Yolande, who was still cradled in his arms. "Galloping on horseback isn't that big of a deal. But if you're only doing it to make men drool over you, then our motivations are very different."
