You Had Me, You Lost Me, You'll Never Find Me novel Chapter 118

It wasn't exactly surprising. Ashton had a naturally alluring, roguish face—a high nose bridge, deep-set eyes—he looked like the type girls would throw themselves at. Every day, countless women tried to get his number, both openly and in secret.

Furthermore, a man of his age naturally had strong desires. It was impossible for him not to be with someone; he just kept it hidden.

Of course, they would never say any of this in front of Reina.

“Alright, that's enough out of you guys. Reina's going to be here soon,” Luke Zane said, shifting the topic. He poured a glass of wine for Julian. “Haven't seen you since you went abroad, Julian. This is the first time we've all hung out since you got back.”

The people in their circle had pretty much all grown up together. Julian was two or three years older and had always been the quintessential “perfect kid,” so he rarely hung out with their crowd.

After he went abroad, they completely lost touch, only occasionally hearing that he had won this award or that award—names Luke hadn't even heard of.

If it weren't for Ashton, Luke wouldn't have had any reason to interact with him at all.

The clear, iris-purple wine shimmered under the light as Julian took a small sip.

“I was busy before, but things are a bit better now. I'm gradually getting the hang of things at the hospital. I actually envy you guys, living so freely.”

Luke chuckled. “Come on, Julian. My older brother still talks about you all the time. You've been the gold standard of excellence for all of us since we were kids.”

Julian smiled and raised his glass. “My apologies. My fault entirely. Let me drink to that.”

Outside the club, Ashton's patience seemed to have run out. He issued an ultimatum, his voice turning icy.

“Get over here yourself, or I'm coming to get you.”

Terrified of what he might do, Sylvia swallowed her anger. “I'm coming.”

“I'll wait for you at the entrance. If I don't see you in fifteen minutes, I'm coming to find you.”

Hearing his reckless tone, Sylvia was internally panicked. She wanted to argue, but Ashton just hung up.

She went downstairs, hailed a cab, and arrived at the entrance of The Reign. Sure enough, Ashton was leaning against the doorway, smoking a cigarette.

He was dressed simply in a white t-shirt and black pants, but the cut of his clothes was exquisite, highlighting his long legs and broad shoulders. Just standing there casually, he looked like a damn model, drawing everyone's attention.

Reina, dressed like a little princess, was surrounded by two female friends. They were looking at Sylvia with unmistakable disdain.

Ashton glanced at them. “None of your business. Go inside and have fun.”

But Reina refused to leave. Seeing Sylvia and Ashton talking alone put her on high alert.

She tugged at the hem of his shirt, tilting her head up with a slightly wronged expression.

“No, I want to wait and go in with you. Otherwise, they'll all crowd around and tease me again.”

Ashton raised an eyebrow. “They wouldn't dare.”

Despite his words, he shoved his hands in his pockets and walked inside alongside Reina.

Sylvia stood frozen, unable to move her feet. She wanted nothing more than to just turn around and leave.

Ashton seemed to know exactly what she was thinking. He stopped after taking two steps, tilted his head to glance at her, and ordered coldly, “Keep up. Are you going to stand there and wait for an engraved invitation?”
