You Had Me, You Lost Me, You'll Never Find Me novel Chapter 155

"We're close," the driver replied.

Sylvia squinted, peering out the window. The road they were traveling on was growing increasingly desolate, winding its way deep into the mountains.

"This isn't the way to the banquet hall."

Even in her drowsy state, Sylvia knew something was horribly wrong.

"Where are you taking me?" Panic edged into her voice as she whipped her head around to look out the back window. To her horror, the rest of the motorcade had vanished.

"Don't panic, Ms. Harlow. We're really almost there."

The driver steered the car up a steep incline toward a sprawling, secluded villa estate. Imposing security guards flanked the perimeter, all built like tanks and exuding a dangerous, trained aura.

The car rolled to a stop by the grand entrance fountain. Ashton stood there, immaculate in a tailored white tuxedo, oozing a lethally seductive charm.

To anyone else, it looked exactly like it was his wedding day.

As the car parked, Ashton's gaze locked onto her. The heat in his eyes flared, clear and dripping with an unshakable, predatory obsession.

The driver stepped out, and Ashton pulled her door open. Sylvia scrambled backward across the seat. She wasn't an idiot; she immediately realized this entire setup was one of his deranged traps.

Ashton reached in to grab her, and Sylvia twisted away.

Her smooth legs kicked out, slipping from his grasp as she managed to land two solid kicks on him.

To match her dress, she had worn shoes with a slight heel. The impact struck his hand, instantly leaving an angry red mark.

Ashton inhaled sharply, his brow furrowing. "Trying to kill your future husband?"

Without another word, he slid into the car, seizing her wrists and dragging her toward him. Before her feet could even touch the pavement, he scooped her up effortlessly behind the knees.

He carried her up the stairs with long, purposeful strides, entirely ignoring her frantic struggling. When she clawed at his face, he simply lowered his head and let out a dark, mocking laugh.

"Keep scratching and I'll punish you in bed."

Sylvia nearly passed out from pure rage. "Have you completely lost your mind?! I'm marrying Julian, not you!"

Gritting her teeth, Sylvia pushed herself off the bed, trying to dart past him toward the door. Ashton caught her wrist effortlessly and shoved her ruthlessly back onto the mattress.

Panic seized her chest. She couldn't overpower him. If Ashton actually wanted to get physical, even Julian couldn't match him.

He loomed over her, pinning her down. Sylvia shoved frantically at his chest, a sob breaking in her throat as she cried out, "Julian!"

His expression turned glacial. That dark, territorial possessiveness flared to life. He crushed his mouth against hers, violently silencing the name of another man on her lips.

He could handle her hitting him, screaming at him, cursing him out. But the fact that she had almost belonged to Julian was a line he couldn't uncross. It ate at him relentlessly.

His kiss was devastatingly aggressive. Moving on pure instinct, he caught both her wrists and pinned them above her head. The demanding, expert kiss of a mature man ignited an immediate, suffocating wave of tension.

Sylvia had thought screaming Julian's name would disgust him enough to back off, but Ashton didn't care in the slightest.

"You can't do this... please..."

"Isn't this the kind of thrill you love? I'm just giving you what you want," he murmured against her lips, his voice laced with a reckless, wicked cruelty.
