You Had Me, You Lost Me, You'll Never Find Me novel Chapter 158

Sylvia hit redial immediately. The phone rang barely three times before it connected. "It's me! Sylvia!"

Julian's breath hitched on the other end. "Are you with Ashton?"

"Yes," Sylvia confirmed. "I got into the wrong car."

Julian's voice darkened. "Where are you right now? I'm coming to get you."

Sylvia racked her brain frantically. "I... I'm not sure. I think we're at a villa up in the moun—"

Before she could finish the sentence, the phone was ripped from her grasp. Ashton decisively ended the call and powered the device off completely.

He slammed the water glass down onto the coffee table and lifted his heavy-lidded gaze, staring at her with chilling apathy. "Why are you calling him? Am I not enough to satisfy you on my own? Are you that twisted? Looking for a threesome?"

The sheer audacity of his accusation made Sylvia's face burn with outrage. "What the hell are you talking about?! Why did you kidnap me and drag me up to this mountain? I have a job to do! You've crossed the line!"

Ashton looked her up and down. "What do you think I kidnapped you for? To have you."

Without another word, he scooped her into his arms and headed back toward the bed. Sylvia thrashed wildly, terrified, punching his chest with whatever little strength she had left while her legs still felt like jelly.

But Ashton was only trying to scare her. He dropped her onto the edge of the mattress, picked up the glass of water, and pressed it to her lips. "Look at you, shaking. What do you think you could actually do to stop me?"

Sylvia refused to engage with his baiting, but she couldn't swallow her anger either. "This is kidnapping! Just wait, I'm going to make you pay for this."

Ashton smirked, entirely unfazed. "Make me pay? I'd love to see you try."

Sylvia glared daggers at him. Ashton remained perfectly composed. As long as Julian's name wasn't mentioned, his emotional stability was unbreakable.

He walked over to the walk-in closet and tossed a set of fresh clothes onto the foot of the bed, gesturing for her to change.

Her original wedding dress was destroyed—torn, stained, and thoroughly desecrated. Just thinking about it made Sylvia's chest ache violently. She and Julian had picked that dress out together, and Ashton had ruined it on purpose.

She hurled the clothes right back at his face. "If you want them changed, do it yourself. I'm not wearing them."
