Chapter 92
In another part of the city, Connor was discharged from the hospital. Felicity was there to assist him, but he gave her the cold shoulder throughout their drive home, refusing to listen to anything she had to say.
Felicity sighed, reflecting on the sleepless nights she had spent trying to gather more concrete evidence for her father, only to come up empty-handed. Patricia had skillfully covered her tracks, leaving no traces of her connection to Orpi. Felicity had hoped that Patricia would make another mistake, but the woman was unexpectedly keeping a low file. All the evidence she had was those that her father had refused to believe.
At the entrance of the house, all the new staff lined up to welcome their boss. Connor had already been informed of the staff changes, so he wasn’t surprised.
Among the staff, Patricia stood uncomfortably next to Georgia. There were two possible outcomes of the day: either she would be kicked out, or Felicity failed to provide proof against her, and she would be staying. Patricia was confident that her tracks were untraceable, so she relied more on the latter possibility.
Patricia held her breath as Connor stepped out of the car, followed closely by Felicity. Her eyes locked with her brother’s, and her palms and back grew sweaty. She began fidgeting with her fingers, her heart pounding as he approached.
When Connor arrived before her, she cowered in fear, dreading the words that might leave his lips. “C-Connor, I-Ishe was about to stutter a confession, but a hug interrupted her.

“Patricia, I’m fine now. Thanks for caring for me.” Connor said, embracing her tightly
Patricia stood rigid, shocked by the unexpected turn of events. Even Georgia, standing beside her, appeared stunned by the exchange.
If Connor was hugging her so warmly, it meant that..
Patricia’s gaze shifted to Felicity standing behind Connor with wide eyes, and a smirk formed on her face when she saw the frown and displeasure etched on Felicity’s face.
It meant that Felicity’s plan did not work, and she was safe!
Instantly, tears of relief welled up in Patricia’s eyes. She tightened her grip around Connor and buried her face in his chest, “Brother, I was so worried. I thought something terrible had happened when they took you away. I tried to visit you countless times, but I wasn’t allowed to.”
Connor patted her back gently thinking she was emotional to see him alright, “Don’t worry. I’m totally fine now.” He reassured her, wiping her tears as they parted.
Gazing at Patricia tenderly, Connor couldn’t fathom that his sister would ever try to harm him. Look at how worried she was for his well-being. He was even more convinced that Felicity had made a mistake.
Watching the exchange behind, Felicity clenched her fists and ground her teeth. Seeing the smug look Patricia threw at her only fueled her anger.
Connor went inside with Patricia following closely to show him everything she had prepared for his arrival. The staff dispersed to resume their duties, allowing Georgia to taunt Felicity.
“Hah!” Georgia tilted her head laughing, “With the way you bragged and threatened us previously, I thought you could actually kick us out. Turns out you were just bluffing. Pathetic.” she sneered.
Felicity took a bold step towards Georgia, “Don’t get c**y yet. I’m not done with you.” She warned, intentionally knocking into Georgia as she walked inside the mansion.
Georgia, furious, stomped her foot and angrily followed Felicity pulling her back. The memory of Caster whispering

Felicity’s name in the bathroomy was still fresh, and she intended in pouring all her pent-up anger on Felicity since hospitalising Cynthia was not enough
She yanked Felicity’s hair violently, “You shutt Step acting so potpous. Who do you think you are?!” Georgia hissed, “Just because you sleep around with wealthy men doesn’t give you the right to be haughty”
Felicity struggled out of Georgia’s grip. She stomped her heels deep into Georgia’s foot and slapped her hard across the face, causing Georgia to stumble to the floor in pain after releasing a yelp.
“Shut?! You’re the one who sucks other people’s d**k for a living” Felicity retorted, crouching down above Georgia and repeatedly slapping her face. Each slap was fueled by the frustration of her father willingly walking into this snake pit despite her warnings
Georgia, overwhelmed by the onslaught, tried to shield her face from Felicity’s unrelenting attacks, screaming at the top of her lungs, unable to evade the blows.
Her screams drew the attention of some staff members, who tried to separate the fight. A single glare from Felicity, however, made them flinch backward-after all, Felicity was the employer they recognized. Georgia was only rescued when Connor and Patricia arrived at the scene.
“Felicity! Have you lost your mind?!” Patricia screamed, face red with anger as she rushed to her daughter’s aid. She pushed Felicity to the floor and assisted the weeping Georgia up, “Georgia, are you okay? What happened?”
Snitting and trembling with blood sipping from her busted lip, Georgia answered, “I don’t know what I did wrong. She just attacked me out of nowhere without any explanation. Mom, if anything happens to my face, my career is over, and she knows that. Why would she hit me?” she sobbed into Patricia’s chest.
Patricia glared at Felicity. She wanted to react but remembered that Connor was still present in the room, so she turned to him accusingly, “You see this…this is what we’ve endured at her hands since you were hospitalised. She wants to ruin our family. I blame you, it’s because you’ve spoiled her so much that she no longer respects us.”
Gritting her teeth, Felicity blurted out as she stood up from the floor, “I don’t respect unworthy people.”
“Felicity!” Connor yelled, shaking from annoyance. He walked over to Felicity and slapped her across the face to everyone’s surprise.
Felicity held her stinging check in shock while Patricia and Georgia gaped in awe. Even when Felicity had been involved with Caster, Connor had never once raised a hand against her, so they were both shocked and delighted.
Swallowing hard, Felicity lifted her eyes to gaze at her father with deep hurt. Seeing her like that, Connor felt a twinge of remorse but quickly suppressed it, knowing he had to put Felicity in her place for once. “You shouldn’t talk to your family that way. First, you hurled accusations against your lovely aunt, and now you’re attacking your cousin? I can’t even recognize you anymore.”
Felicity scoffed at her father in disappointment. “The reason I changed so much was because of you. I did everything for you, just to make you proud..just to keep you safe.”
“Keep me safe from what?! My family?! Stop your paranoia already. Georgia might have made some mistakes in the past, and Patricia may not be perfect, but they would never do anything to hurt us. Felicity, if you keep acting like this, you will have to step down from your position in the company.”
Connor instantly regretted his words as he witnessed Felicity’s face fall. She slowly picked up her bag, which she had dropped on the floor during the altercation with Georgia, and prepared to leave.
“Felicity, wait-Connor tried to stop her, but she cut him off,
“I think I’ve overstayed my welcome. I’ll be taking my leave now Felicity said, turning to address her father one last time. “One more thing… I couldn’t care less about my position in the company. It means absolutely nothing to me.” With that, she left, leaving everyone in stunned silence..

Connor coughed composing himself not to let his sadors show and instructed Georgia, “Go attend to your wounds Fibe resting in my room” He left the scene.
As soon as Connor was gone, Georgia and Patricia dropped their facade and giggled, realising that things were once again Burning in theu favour
the other hand, drove angrily away from the mansion wiping the tears that managed to escape from her eyes. she felt humiliated, not because of the fight with Georgia, but because her father treated her poorly when she was only trying to protect ham. He had chosen those snakes instead of her, and it hurt like hell.
stepping on the pedal, she only had one destination in mind. The only place she could think of right now.
After a while, she pulled up in front of Elsworth’s group and took the private elevator straight to Noah’s office without being seen by anyone. It was a bold move on her path, but she cared less.
Barging in she found Noah signing some paperwork alone: Noah looked up to see who had dared enter his office without knocking but his gaze softened before turning to surprise and then confufion on seeing Felicity pacing around his office. vibly upset. He darted up to meet her, “What are you doing here?” He asked, holding her shoulders to stop her from walking about
“You barged mto my office once, I thought I’d return the favour.” She sassily replied, trying to shrug his hands off, but he heid tightes
“That’s not what I meant.” Noah rolled his eyes, “I want to know what happened, I thought you’d be with your father” He said, leading her to the black couch in the office. “How did it go?”
Felicity sighed. “He refused to listen to me!” she confessed, worry evident in her eyes. As much as her father had hurt her, she couldn’t leave him in that mansion with Patricia. She had to think of something to get Patricia out no matter what
“What do you plan on doing now?” Noah asked.
Felicity paused before answering. “Tim going to poison my father.
“What?” Noah exclaimed, his eyes widening in shock.
