It was around eight in the evening when Felicity pulled into the back of the police station. The elegant dress she’d worn earlier had been swapped for a simple pair of trousers, a casual shirt, and a scarf around her neck that concealed her bruises. A mask and a baseball cap completed her disguise to hide her identity.
From where she stood, the swarm of paparazzi at the front could be heard–one of the reasons she had gone through the back. If someone accidentally saw her here, people would assume she came to taunt a defeated man. She wanted to avoid that drama.
“Miss Orion,” The Chief greeted, surprise written all over his face as Felicity stepped into his office. “I’m shocked to see you here. Is something wrong?”
Felicity had not informed anyone of her visit but the urgency of the situation surrounding her it did not permit her to do so. She would rather take everyone by surprise than have anyone whispering to her enemies about her arrival.
Bringing down her mask, she took a seat opposite the man. “Nothing is wrong,” She gave him a light smile. “I was hoping you could help me. I need to speak with Mr. Walker.”
The Chief raised a brow, then tilted his head. “I’m sorry but it’s way past our visiting hours, Miss Orion. You will have to come back tomorrow.”
“I didn’t come all the way here to be rejected,” Came Felicity’s sharp response. She kept her voice low so as not to sound rude but still high enough to pass her urgency. “It’s a delicate matter. It would only take a minute.”
The Chief felt the chill behind Felicity’s words. Though she was smiling at him, he could feel her penetrating gaze daring him to refuse her request.
Right now, the whole country was wary of this woman after she heartlessly brought down an elite family in the blink of an eye. Naturally, he didn’t want to offend her, fearing what she would do to someone like him with no luxurious backing.
“I guess we can spare you a minute,” He relented. “I’m only doing this because the tip you gave us regarding Mr. Walker was very helpful. We’ve been after that family for years.”
Felicity chuckled. “Are you after my family too?”
“It depends. Is your family clean?” The Chief boldly asked.
Felicity laughed lightly before standing up. “Thank you, officer.”
“I’ll lead you,” the officer said and led her out to his office.
She was directed to the visitation booth and Caster was led in a minute later by a guard. He was seated opposite her, separated by a glass wall with a telephone set beside them.
She took one look at him and smiled.
It wasn’t up to twelve hours since he got locked up but he already looked like shit. His hair was a ruffled mess. Blue eyes lifeless. Bruises on his face that she guessed were from his inmate. Served him right.
He gazed at her without a hint of surprise. She guessed he had been expecting her to come but not for the reason she would later reveal.
Picking up the phone, she signalled for him to do the same. When he brought the phone to his ear, she asked, “How have you been?”
“Go to hell!” He gritted his teeth, glaring daggers at her. “Did you come here to gloat?”

“Calm down. I am not that petty,” She raised her hand in surrender before she continued, “I came to conclude an investigation of mine. Would you mind if I asked you some questions?” She asked.
“Over my dead body,” Caster replied without missing a beat, his voice dripping with venom. “I’d rather die than help you with anything. You ruined my life. And for what? Because I cheated on you?”
It dawned on Felicity that while she had full knowledge of all of Caster’s evil deeds, Caster had no idea that she knew those things. After all, they were all planned and performed in secret, and she was only aware because of her previous life.
To him, she had broken up with him and did all this because he had slept with Georgia. He couldn’t have been more wrong.
Felicity tilted her head back and laughed, finding the situation funny. Maybe it was time to reveal the whole truth.
“You and Georgia faked our relationship from the start. When I refused to give you my virginity, you plotted to rape and impregnate me, forcibly making me your wife. And you weren’t doing that out of love, but because your health was failing and you needed my organs for some strange, twisted purpose.” She started.
“After getting what you wanted, you planned on using me as a pawn to get my father’s property after which you would leave Patricia to finish him off, leaving me to the mercy of your dreadful family. Eventually, after getting everything you wanted, you would divorce me and keep Georgia as your mistress.” Felicity cocked a mocking brow. “Did I miss anything?”
Caster paled after her narration. His mouth opened like a fish, brow furrowed. “H–How did y–you…” He was in a state of utter shock. The things Felicity recounted were things she shouldn’t have ever known. Even Georgia had not been privy to everything, so how did she find out?
Felicity laughed, picking up his train of thought. “I’ve told you before. I know many things about you, Mr. Walker,” she said and leaned into her chair. “Now that you know why I did this, are you ready to answer my question?”
When Caster didn’t answer, she took it as a yes and continued. “Although I know many things, I realised there is so much I couldn’t piece together. Listen carefully, I’m about to make a confession.”
She cleared her throat and continued, “When I visited your mother at the hospital, minutes away before she succumbed to her strange disease, she seemed to resent whenever I said your name.”
She paused to study Caster’s reaction. His gaze was sharp and his fists had turned white from how hard he was clenching the phone. He was also glaring at her.
“She kept saying, ‘Jeremy is not my son.” Felicity quoted, remembering Delilah’s strange behaviour that day. “I initially dismissed her as delirious from the medication, but now I realise something doesn’t add up,” She stared into space and recounted. “First off, Vivian holds no respect for you. Your mother seems to despise you, and your father is never pleased with you.

Felicity sighed, shaking her head with mock sympathy. She sat up and her face turned serious. “Now my question is…who exactly is Jeremy?”
Caster froze and stared at her with a menacing look like he wanted to strangle her again. His hand holding the phone began trembling.
Felicity pressed. “My dad told me how your appearance and aura changed on your fourteenth birthday. Like you were a different person from before. What happened to you?”
The room was blanketed in silence, the only sound was the strained breathing of Caster. He remained silent. Felicity watched, her eyes hardening as his silence stretched on. “Jeremy She whispered, a chill seeping into her voice. “What happened to the real Caster Walker?”
At that moment, it was as if something snapped in Caster’s head
“Shut up!” He yelled, standing abruptly and flinging himself against the glass wall, trying to reach for her. His actions startled both her and the guard who rushed to restrain him. He frantically fought against their hold like a crazed person.
