Claring in him, Felicity retorted. “I didn’t say Ed kill him. Jast poison him. You know what, I’ll contact your mother right now” She reached for her phone, but Noah swiftly snatched it away.
“You’re crury” Noah munered softly, gazing at her in amazement. “Tell me what you’re planning first.”
Felwity went on to narrate her plan to him, and with every passing second, his awe for her only grew. He had to admir, she was becoming more devious than him at this point
(10) just be giving Patricia a taste of her own medicine at the end of the day.” Felicity concluded her plant. She stretched her hands out. “Can I have my phone back now?”
Noah podded handing it over to her. He watched as she dulled his mother and relayed the message to her. As always, his mother was thrilled to share her poisons with Felicity, even laughing as they talked
Noah shook his head, the two women in his life were collectively crazy. Initially, he was worried Felicity might find his mother’s peculiar hobby off-putting, but it amazed him how quickly Felicity adapted and even started making use of it. A small part of him was also grateful for their bond.
When Felicity was done on the phone, she hung up, and immediately, Noah pushed a tablet into her hands.
“Was this your plan all along?” Noah asked, pointing at the article on the screen.
Felicity glanced at the article detailing Mario and Walker Corporation’s successful merger, and the enormous benefit it brought to both companies. She replied smugly, “One of my plans.”
“I must say. I’m impressed. Noah remarked, his interest piqued. “You stole all their contracts, left them in a vulnerable state, and even spread false rumors about their products. And then you swoop in at the end and save them from the mess you crated. I’m eager to see where this gues
If only he knew, Felicity thought, reclining on the couch. You could say this was the second phase of her plan or the third- she’d stopped counting.
She stole all of Caster’s contracts, and when he tried changing strategies, she used underhand methods to sabotage their reputation. Yes, she was the reason Walker Corporation had been cast in a negative light for the past few weeks, and she didn’t feel the slightest bat guilty. A few well-placed bribes did the jobs quite nicely.
All of this had been done to achieve her ultimate goal: the merger. After Xander shared a rumor he’d heard from some shareholders Felicity finally understood Caster’s anxiety. His father, Charles Walker, was returning
Charles’s stern face resurfaced in Felicity’s mind. If Caster was ruthless, imagine what the man who raised him was like.
Felicity hadn’t interacted much with Charles in her past life, he’d always avoided her like the plague, gazing down at her with disdain. But his wife, Delilah Walker, she remembered quite vividly. The woman was another devil incarnate.
Caster was always somewhat cautious in his father’s presence. Felicity knew Caster needed to stabilize his stocks before Charles returned, so she made use of the golden opportunity presented to her.
Chapter 95
Since Caster was desperate, why not propose a merger now when she could? It would be difficult to do so once Charles was around 11 Charles took over the management of the company ofice more, he wouldn’t be easily distracted like Caster and might detect the mole she had placed among them.
So, the merger stabilized Walker Corporation ensuring Caster would no longer be pressured to step down for Charles Moreover, Charles would never be able to detect Xander as a mode, ultimately making it easier for Felicity to take over Walker Corporation in the future. It was the perfect example of killing two birds with one stone.
“This is just the tip of the iceberg for what I have planned for that family. Felicity replied.
Noah sighed, sensing that she was holding something back. “Sometimes, I feel like your anger goes beyond Caster’s affair with Georgia. What did the Walkers ever do to you to ignite such deep-rooted hatred?”
Felicity paused, sometimes forgetting that she alone had experienced those ten nightmarish years, causing her to blurt out strange things on occasion. Everyone else around thought she was angry about the affair. There was no one to share her burden with. “None of them are good people,” she answered simply, holding back the dark truth that continued to haunt her. “Caster built a pipeline that polluted the water and soils of many communities. They deserve my anger.”
Noah never revealed to Felicity that he was the reason the illegal pipeline was exposed. Only a few people, knew that fact as the Walkers wouldn’t dare reveal such sensitive information to the public for fear that they might lose influence.
If the socialites found out that the Elsworths exposed the pipeline, the Walkers would immediately be shunned. Going against the Elsworths meant certain doom, and they couldn’t risk tarnishing their reputation.
“Okay, Noah nodded, accepting her response, “I can wait to see then.”
Felicity lifted her gaze and smiled at him, changing the subject. “Have you really decided to send me letters every day? My handbag is already full of sticky notes,” she complained, remembering the tender notes she woke up to every morning.
“Yes, I’ll continue sending them.” he insisted, going with the flow.
“Where am I going to keep them all?” Felicity asked, her exasperation tinged with amusement.
“Buy a jar,” Noah answered bluntly.
Before she could argue more, he leaned in and pressed his lips to hers, shutting her up. He had been craving to do that ever since she walked in. There was just something about her presence that he couldn’t get enough of.
The kiss began with gentle nibbles on her lips before gradually intensifying Soon, their tongues were intertwined in a passionate dance.
While Noah towered over her, Felicity gripped the couch for stability. Even now, Noah’s kiss managed to blow her away. Though she refused to admit it out loud, she was utterly addicted.
Felicity’s reservations melted away, replaced by a hunger she couldn’t deny. Her hands instinctively reached for Noah’s hair, tugging gently and drawing a deep moan from his chest. Felicity’s eyes snapped open, surprised-it was the first time she had heard him moan. She couldn’t help but feel a sense of triumph.
Noah’s hands snaked around her waist, drawing her closer, and just when things were heating up. The door swung open. startling them apart.
“Oh my God, did I interrupt something?” lan’s teasing voice echoed from the door.
