Wicked Scheme Lost a problem Got a man novel Chapter 7

Chapter 7
Felicity had been driving for more than twenty minutes, attempting to get away from the men pursuing them.
A frown marred her beautiful face as she glared at the man who was currently fiddling with her playlist.
He looked about her age. His strawberry blonde hair bobbed gently as he nodded along to the song.
A grin spread across his handsome face as his green eyes met Felicity’s dark ones.
For some strange reason, his eyes appeared familiar.
Felicity noticed that he was dressed in ordinary, cheap clothing. If he was not wealthy, why were gunmen after him?
He was probably in some kind of trouble, which did not surprise Felicity since he had the look of a troublemaker.
She smacked his arm when he tried to change the music for the third time, “Don’t touch it.”
“It’s not my fault you have terrible taste in music.” The man scowled as he held the hand Felicity had smacked.
His nonchalance towards the dangerous situation they were in unnerved her. They had guns pointed at them only moments ago.
“Get out of my car.” She scowled at him. She wasn’t going to die because of this handsome lunatic.
His carefree expression vanished instantly. “I will die if you stop the car,” He said, eyes wide with panic. He looked like a deer caught in headlights.
“I don’t care if you die,” Felicity asserted, slowing down the car.
She didn’t think the gunmen were still following them, so he should be fine. She just prayed they wouldn’t trace her car back to her house.
Why was she so unlucky? She was constantly surrounded by negative people.

“Please, don’t kick me out. I will end up dead tomorrow.” He gave her his best puppy cyes. He was not joking; he could die if those men caught up with him.
Felicity pulled over and gave him a blank stare, “Maybe you should have considered that before looking for trouble. Now, get out!”
“I didn’t look for trouble, I was born into it,” He whispered but Felicity heard him.
He was probably born into debt, she thought.
“I don’t care.” she deadpanned.

“No, please, do you know who I am? This entire nation will go into a frenzy if I die.” He said.
“Okay, now, he was bluffing. She sneered in her heart.
“To be honest, I don’t care and I don’t want to know who you are. Just get out of my life!” She said as she unlocked the doors, “Crawl back to whatever hell you came out of.”
The man gazed at Felicity, mouth open. Did she not hear that he was in danger? This lady had no conscience.
“Can I at least get your name?” He asked.
“Sure, it’s get-out-of-my-car-you-a**hole.”
The man sighed as he exited the car. Before he could say goodbye, the lady had sped. off without looking back.
“Good riddance,” Felicity muttered as she drove away.
What?
She didn’t say she would become a good person in this life, it got her nowhere in her previous life. That man could rot in a gutter for all she cared.
When she got to her apartment, she made sure all her doors were properly locked. She even closed every window in the apartment.
She did not want to be murdered in her sleeping by masked men who tracked her down to her home.
She was happy that she had leased an apartment in the more upscale part of the city.

Chapter 7
The security was tight there.
She collapsed on her bed after showering. She hadn’t been able to have a proper rest since she came back in time.
First, she escaped Caster and Georgia and spent the night with a stranger she could not remember. She went home and faced her father’s anger. She left for the audition and nearly died again. She was extremely exhausted.
She checked her phone and found no messages from Caster. Despite the nasty mors, that circulated about her online, he did not call to see how she was doing.
Felicity chastised herself for even expecting something from him. He was a cold, selfish jerk who was only concerned with his own interests. He would dump you the moment you were no longer useful to him.
In her previous life, he portrayed her as a seductress who took advantage of him in front of the public, while he remained the innocent one who married her out of obligation.
When he got what he wanted from her, he abandoned her for the wolves in his family to devour. Even her unborn child was not spared.
He was probably planning a trap for Felicity right now, but she was not going to let that happen. She was going to strip away his perfect facade and reveal what a manipulative b**rd he was to the world.
It was just difficult to confront him again after everything he had put her through. It seemed like only yesterday that he threw divorce papers at her and locked her in their home’s basement.
She could not believe she ever loved the jerk.
She sighed, placing her phone on the nightstand, and her gaze fell on the brown. envelope sitting there. She took it curiously and examined it.
From N.E, it said.
“Is it Chinese? No, that doesn’t look like Chinese,” she said aloud as she saw the strange name. It was most likely an initial, but she had never met anyone with that initial. She sighed as she opened it, “Let us just see what is inside.”
Photographs fell into her hands as she opened the envelope. These photographs were

taken from various angles, and the faces of the people in them were extremely clear.
Felicity tilted her head back, laughing as she saw the pictures. She laughed so hard that tears began to well up in her eyes.
She looked through each photograph in awe.
‘I had no idea I had a fairy godmother, she thought excitedly. This photograph would significantly reduce her workload.
She picked up the envelope and looked for a note or anything that might indicate who the sender was, but there was nothing.
She traced the initials once more before placing it on her lips for a kiss. She had no idea who this person was, but
she was extremely grateful.
She picked up her phone and called Lilian before sleeping soundly.
