Wicked Scheme Lost a problem Got a man novel Chapter 60

Chapter 60
Locating the snack table, Felicity and Axel casually lounged around it, munching on the food. Everything Felicity consumed was thoroughly inspected by Axel before she ate it. He did that because Noah had already threatened to kill him if even a hair on her head was missing, and he valued his life dearly.
“You shouldn’t drink so carelessly,” Axel snatched the glass of champagne Felicity took from the waiter and was about to drink. He sipped the drink to detect if there was something added to it.
Felicity was already annoyed by his behavior. “What’s wrong with you? Stop hovering over me like a bee and buzz off, she snapped at him. People who recognized her were shooting her strange looks. It was the first time an Orion attended any party hosted by the Walkers.
If Connor caught word of this, he would surely throw a fit. Felicity had technically betrayed the whole Orion line by being
there.
“You should be grateful. I might have just saved you from being poisoned, Axel retorted.
“The Walkers aren’t that stupid to poison me at a party they hosted. They would be the prime suspects
“Are you sure about that? That girl earlier looked ready to kill you, Axel told her.
Felicity sighed. Vivian sure looked ready to murder her. Vivian must have figured out that she was the one who tricked her into the trap. Once again, Felicity subconsciously touched her stomach. She was supposed to lose a child this night at the hands of Vivian, so it wouldn’t be surprising if Vivian tried to kill her again. She had to keep her guard up.
“Here, it tastes alright,” Axel handed her back the glass of champagne
“Thank you,” Felicity took a sip and watched the interactions in front of her. Many of the people in the room were young adults who were either trying to curry favor from Caster or just attendees due to courtesy.
Though Vivian was the host, Caster was the star of the party. He was swarmed by investors and ladies trying to throw themselves at him. He basked in all the attention like a saint.
When his eyes caught Felicity’s, he raised his glass to her, drawing attention to them. Felicity smiled before doing the same and averting her gaze.
Axel saw the exchange and smirked. “I don’t get the rivalry between you and the Walkers. Care to explain?”
“It’s not something you can comprehend, Felicity muttered.
“Try me,” Axel challenged, but Felicity remained silent. He snickered. “You and your secrets. It’s annoying.”
“As if you don’t have secrets,” Felicity rebutted.
“Touché,” Axel smirked. “I still don’t like you though. Noah could ve done better. You don’t have anything of interest.”
“Anything of interest…” She repeated softly. “Humor me. What were you expecting?”
Axel hummed as he thought. “Someone powerful, tough, and fierce. Someone who isn’t afraid to delve into that darker side of life. Someone who would stand by him no matter the dangers on the way. That person is not you.”
“You’re right..'” Felicity had already seen enough darkness in her life and she wasn’t about to delve into someone else’s. She already had enough danger to take care of. She wasn’t particularly powerful or tough. She just wanted to survive, Tm not that person.

“At least, you make him happy, so I can tolerate you for now.”
“I do?” Felicity was surprised to hear that.
“Don’t get your hopes up. It won’t last. I **sure you,” He deadpanned.
Felicity threw him a glare before focusing on the crowd in front of them.
Suddenly, Caster took a mic and climbed up the stage. “May I get everyone’s attention, please,” He announced. Everyone watched him with curiosity and the room went silent. “I thank everyone who took the time out of their schedule to attend this event. Today, we are celebrating my sister, Vivian, for her successful milestone in her career and I personally have a gifi for her. It’s a compilation of videos of her growing up. I want her to see how much she has achieved.”
The crowd laughed and cooed at the sweet gesture. They all turned to Vivian to tell her how lucky she is. Vivian only smiled at the crowd, but Felicity could see it was fake; no doubt she hated the gesture of affection.
Caster signaled for the video to be played and Felicity sat up. It was showtime.
Everyone focused on the projector’s screen as the video started to come up, but instead of Vivian’s childhood, what they saw was her dirty and violating video.
The sounds of moans and grunts came through the speakers and filled the whole room. Everyone’s face twisted into shock then to disgust as the video went on.
Vivian’s sweaty, naked figure was lying on the bed, moaning sofily as her body jerked from the force the unknownman on top of her slammed into her.
“Harder,” Vivian urged with her eyes closed. She looked so far from reality, as if she was in a deep pleasurable sleep.
The four men at the corner stood hungrily, eagerly waiting for their turn. All their faces were blurred except for Vivian’s
Vivian’s scream of terror broke everyone from their reverie and back to reality. Caster quickly yelled for the video to be cut but it kept playing. Only after unplugging the projector did it stop.
But it was too late. The deed had already been done. Everyone had seen it.
“She has no shame.”
“Is she that thirsty that one man couldn’t satisfy her? She had to take five.”
“She’s that cheap? I wonder if I can have a threesome with her too. I would do better than those brutes”
“Someone this disgusting shouldn’t be a public figure. The Walkers should be ashamed.”
Vivian felt the ground should open and swallow her. She was utterly horrified hearing the disgusting talks about her. Her eyes began to water as she looked around in confusion.
What was going to become of her after today?
“No, it’s not as it seems. They took advantage of me!” Vivian yelled, attempting to defend herself.
Don’t lie to us. Your moans of pleasure say otherwise. It looked like you were enjoying it.
“She even wanted him to go harder. I clearly heard it. We aren’t kids; we know you liked it.”

Vivian looked around for someone to defend her, but she couldn’t find a friendly face in the crowd. Everyone gazed at her with scorn. Even Caster looked away when their eyes met. It was at this moment she realized she was alone.
How did this happen? How did the video get out?
Her eyes widened as she saw Felicity gazing at her with mock pity. She clenched her fist in anger. It had to be her. Only Felicity would do this.
“You witch!” She lunged at Felicity, swiping her hands in the air for a slap, but before the slap could connect with Felicity’s face, it was stopped.
