Chapter 57
-“Don’t take anything she gives you. She has hired men to take advantage of you. Mariam.
Vivian was truly heartless. She had not only wanted to gang rape Felicity but also planned to release the video for the whole world to see. Fortunately, Felicity was ahead of her. Now the terrible fate she prepared for someone else had befell her.
As Noah caught Felicity, her eyes lit up with recognition, “Noah! But her expression quickly soured, “Don’t touch me. Go away.”
Ignoring her protest, Noah held her securely by the waist, aware of her drunken state and determined to keep her safe. It was the first time he had seen her so vulnerable.
“What did I do to offend her highness? Shouldn’t you be thanking me after I helped you out earlier?” Noah teased, trying to lighten the mood.
Felicity scoffed, “I didn’t ask for your help. I wanted Lilian’s help, but instead, you came and started flirting with Vivian,” she retorted, recalling how Noah had distracted Vivian by pretending to be her fan.
Noah’s eyebrow shot up in surprise, struggling to contain his amusement at her accusation. “You think I was flirting with her? I was only helping as you requested in your text.”
“No, you were flirting. She was laughing and giggling like a child, Felicity said, her voice trembling as tears welled catching Noah off guard. Panicking, he pulled her into a comforting hug.
Fm sorry. I promise I won’t flirt with other girls from now on. Just you,” Noah assured her sincerely.
“You promise? Don’t flirt with other guys too, especially lan, Felicity murmured in his arms.

Noah’s face scrunched up with disgust. “You think I flirt with lan: Disgusting. I wonder what kind of thoughts run through your head, Baby gangster.”
“Don’t call me that… Felicity lightly hit his hand and yawned. “Why didn’t Lilian come when I texted her for help?”
“I sent her to the hotel to pack our bags. Seeing what happened, we shouldn’t stay in this city for long. He explained, guiding her to the car.
Too drunk to question his decision, Felicity entrusted everything to him, knowing he knew better.
They picked up a worried Lilian, who calmed down after seeing Felicity safe and sound, before taking the jet back to City B The next time Felicity opened her eyes, she was in the comfort of her bed at home with a massive hangover.
“Here’s some medicine for your headache,” Noah appeared by her side with medicine and a bowl of soup.
“What happened?” She asked, still groggy.
“You don’t remember?” Noah inquired.
After taking the medicine, Felicity’s memory started to come back in snippets. She quickly checked her phone and found a text message from an unknown number containing a video. Without playing it, she knew what it was about and set it aside. “What are you going to do with that?” Noah asked, nodding towards the phone.

“Something bad,” Felicity muttered as she slowly drank the bowl of soup before outlining her plan for the video. “Do you think I’m being harsh?”
“Of course not, baby gangster, She provoked us first,” Noah replied simply, showing no remorse for what they were about to do to Vivian. He was unfazed that Felicity was about to ruin someone’s life. If it were up to him, he would have dealt with her even more harshly.
The audacity of Vivian’s plan to set up his wife infuriated him. The Walkers’ obsession with Felicity still puzzled him. Why were they so intent on ruining her?
When Felicity heard him address her as “baby gangster, she suddenly remembered her behaviour the previous night and felt embarrassed. Internally, she chastised herself for acting so recklessly with him.
Seeing her red cheeks, Noah grew concerned. “Are you alright? Should I call the doctor?” He asked.
Felicity shook her head. “I’m fine,” she replied. “And I’m sorry for my embarrassing behaviour last night. I promise it won’t happen again.”
Noah was confused at first until he realised she was referring to the events of the previous night. “You can behave as embarrassing as you want with me. I don’t mind,” He said.
“I’m being serious.”
“So am I, Noah replied seriously. They shared a moment of silence, staring into each other’s eyes before he added, “And just to make it clear, I don’t like men…especially lan.”
Felicity cracked a smile, which soon turned into a full-blown laugh, and Noah joined in.
The doorbell rang, interrupting their moment and Noah went to answer it while Felicity picked up her phone to check up on Lilian.
“Did you get home safely?” she asked.
Lilian replied instantly, “I did. How are you feeling? You were so drunk last night that I was worried. I can’t believe Vivian could be so despicable. She’s even worse than Georgia.”
Felicity agreed. Georgia had a thick skin while Vivian had a black heart. She hated both equally and planned on sending them back to hell.

“Don’t worry too much about me,” She reassured Lilian. They engaged in small talk before Felicity had to hang up as Noah. returned with an envelope.
“What’s that?” Felicity asked as he handed it to her.
“Someone mailed this to your old address. One of my men brought it here,” He explained.
Felicity didn’t question why he had men watching her apartment and took the envelope wordlessly. Inside, she found an invitation to a masquerade party at the Walker residence. According to Mariam’s information, Vivian had sent out these invitations in advance, planning to release the incriminating video of Felicity at the event
Vivian planned to utterly humiliate Felicity in front of influential people, making her hit rock bottom and never show her face in public again..
The invitation stated having a plus one was a necessity. Felicity locked eyes with Noah, who had also read the invitation. Tll go with you,” He told her. For some time, he had been increasingly curious about the Walkers and wanted to see for

himself how they lived. But to his surprise, Felicity declined.
“No, you won’t.”
“Why not?” His brow creased in frustration.
“It’s not safe. Someone might recognize you. It would spell trouble for both of us.”
“Is that the only reason? I’ll wear a disguise. It’s a masquerade party.”
“No, it’s too dangerous, Felicity insisted.
Noah scoffed in disbelief. “Dangerous? Do you know who I am?”
Felicity rolled her eyes. “Don’t argue with me on this one.”
Agitated, Noah brushed back his hair, his eyes turning so cold, it could freeze someone to death, “First rule of survival: never walk into enemy territory alone. If that house is that dangerous, do you think I’ll be alright sending you in by yourself?”
“Then I won’t be alone. I’ll find someone to go with me,” Felicity remained adamant.
Noah couldn’t believe his ears as he stood looking at her, dumbfounded. With a trace of hurt, he asked, “You would rather go with a random person than your husband?”
Felicity realised her mistake and tried to fix it, “It’s for your own good. I’m only trying to protect you.”
“I don’t need your f**ing protection. It’s not your job, it’s mine! He spat before storming out of the room.
Felicity sat alone on her bed, shaking her head and refusing to let the fight get to her. She then picked up her phone and forwarded the video from the unknown number to Mariam with instructions on what to do with it.
