Felicity readied herself for the shoot and was escorted to the temporary bedroom set. The Photographer gave an ‘okay’ sign before initiating a countdown.
In an instant, Felicity transformed from fierce to relaxed, blinking and yawning as if just waking up. She got up from the bed and walked into the bathroom to perform her morning skincare routine.
With a smile, she effortlessly applied the product, her lazy demeanour vanishing as if revitalised by the product itself.
Exiting confidently, she mounted her bike and rode away, streamlining the shoot, which concluded in half the expected. time. Vivian and Grace followed with their parts before the final joint shoot.
Lilian observed Felicity’s performance with pride, joined by Noah, whose silent admiration knew no bounds, witnessing Felicity’s remarkable improvement over the past months.
As the shoot wrapped up in the evening, Vivian proposed a celebratory party which most of the crew agreed to but Felicity declined.
“I won’t be able to make it,” she stated.
“And I have a flight to catch.” Grace, preparing to leave for a flight, also declined, bidding farewell to everyone, including Felicity. Everyone thanked her as she left the site.
“We understand Grace’s situation but what’s your excuse? Why not come, Felicity? It’s just a small celebration,” Vivian urged.
“It’s not really my scene,” Felicity explained.
“But you’ve earned it after all your hard work these past days,” the photographer chimed in.
“Yeah, come on, Felicity, just relax and enjoy,” Vivian persisted, adding, “I wanted to use this to make it up to you for any past misunderstandings. Please don’t turn it down.”
Felicity knew she wasn’t going to escape from this. Glancing at the black car parked some distance away, she relented with a hesitant “Sure.”
“Yay! Let’s go.” Vivian clapped, linking hands with Felicity and dragging her to her car before she had the chance to change her mind.
Felicity quickly sent a quick text to Noah telling him to leave without her but he only sent back a short reply, “Right behind you.”
Felicity sighed. She couldn’t force him to leave, if he wanted to stay then he should.
Arriving at the upscale club with a lot of drunk adults. Felicity observed the bustling scene, feeling out of place amidst the drunken crowd. Vivian, undeterred, led her to the bar, ordering vodka shots.
Raising her glass, Vivian declared, “Tonight marks the end of all our differences, Felicity Orion!” over the blaring music, downing her drink in one gulp. Handing Felicity a glass, she continued, “Cheers to us!
Forced into the moment, Felicity smiled and clinked glasses before downing her shot, prompting Vivian to eagerly order
more.
Just then, Felicity received a text from Mariam. Her eyes gleamed with a wicked glint, confirming her suspicions about Vivian’s intentions. She had secretly texted Mariam the previous day to find out what Vivian was planning when she started

to get suspicious. Mariam-did not fail her.
Felicity knew she had done a good thing by making Mariam a double agent. She chuckled, taking another glass of vodka, “Cheers.” and drank the whole glass.
Assuming Felicity had let her guard down, Vivian smiled and exchanged a secret signal with the waiter, unbeknownst to them that Felicity caught their interaction.
She quickly texted Lilian who was still with Noah, for some assistance. A few minutes later, a handsome man approached them, “Aren’t you that social media influencer, Vivian Walker? I’m a big fan of yours.”
Vivian was immediately smitten by the man’s good looks and striking green eyes. She eagerly engaged in a conversation with him, relishing the attention.
Seizing the moment, Felicity discreetly signalled the waiter, whispering something that made his pupils dilate in shock, causing him to nearly drop the vodka glass in his hands, his expression now filled with fear.
Felicity whispered another command to the waiter, who quickly agreed, then returned to his duties, visibly shaking.
Seeing this, Vivian’s ‘admirer’ ended the conversation and left. Vivian eagerly ordered more shots, which were brought to her rapidly. Felicity took them, knowing she had to play along for her plan to work.
Thirty minutes later, Felicity stood up to leave, a little dizzy. “I have to go. I have something to attend to.”
“Nooo!” Vivian protested, slurring and stumbling. “You have to meet my friends first. she was completely wasted by now and her eyes were drooping. She felt something was wrong with her but dismissed the thought knowing she had to focus on her goal.
“What friends?” Felicity asked.
“They’re waiting for us. Let’s go, Vivian insisted, leading Felicity deeper into the party until they reached a quiet hallway. “My friends are nice.”
“Really? They’ll be good to me?”
“Yes,” Vivian laughed, still leading Felicity towards the room. Her steps were lazy as the effects of the drinks started to kick her in. Her sight became blurry and everything started to spin.
Felicity smirked before lightly pushing Vivian to the floor. “Oh no, you tripped!”
Vivian hit the floor with a thud, making her confused, “I did?”
“Yes, I’ll take you to the bathroom to clean your injury.” Felicity offered her a hand which she dismissed.
“I’m injured?” Vivian asked, still disoriented.
“Yes, you are bleeding profusely.” Felicity lied.
“This is all your fault. Am I going to die? You die instead. Vivian started tearing up.
Felicity came up with an idea. She squatted and whispered, pointing at the door of the room Vivian was leading her to, “Not if you go into that room. If you go in there, I will die and you’ll live.”
“You will die. Are you serious?”

“Yes. Felicity spoke as if talking to a kid.
Convinced, Vivian struggled to stand up before hastily running into the trap she had planned for someone else. Immediately, she opened the door, a pair of strong arms dragged her into the dark room and firmly shut it behind her.
Felicity watched everything in surprise. She walked silently to the door and tried to open it but it was locked from the inside. Her body jerked as she started laughing. She stood there for two minutes before stumbling to the entrance where the waiter from earlier was waiting for her.
“I want the recording tonight, then I’ll send you your money. Make sure you disappear before tomorrow morning or face the consequences,” she instructed sternly.
The waiter nodded before leaving.
Felicity sighed and stumbled out of the club, feeling the effects of the alcohol. Just as she nearly fell, a pair of strong arms caught her.
“You should stop falling for me, my dear wife.”
