Chapter 47
Noah noticed the familiar frown forming at the corner of Felicity’s lips and guessed she was thinking about Caster again. Disappointment flashed in his eyes before he released her from the wall. He walked over to his suitcase and retrieved some files. “These are the information you wanted,” he said, handing them to her before starting to retreat to the room.
“Aren’t you hungry?” she asked, noticing the table of the now cold food she had prepared.
He sighed before turning back to the table. Despite his displeasure, he couldn’t let her hard work go to waste. “Thanks for the files,” she said.
Noah hummed in acknowledgment. “Next time you need something, come to me, he stated as he began to eat.
Felicity felt a twinge of guilt. Moments ago, his eyes had been filled with such intensity, but now he appeared downcast.
“Okay.” Noah responded.
The rest of the meal passed in silence until they retired to bed, the evening uneventful.
The next morning, Felicity accompanied by Lilian arrived at the set and was greeted by a horde of young anti-fans, most of which looked nineteen or in their early twenties.
Coincidentally, they arrived at the same time as Rita and were tasked with crossing the crowd together. When the anti-fans spotted her, they started hurling curses.
“Look, the two b**es are here!”
“Felicity, don’t you have any shame bullying your juniors?”
“We don’t need someone as despicable as you in the industry.”
“Don’t you have anything to say for yourself? We need a public apology.”
They crowded around Felicity and Rita, blocking them from entering the building.
The commotion was being broadcasted on TV, and Noah watched calmly from his office. His gaze remained fixed on Felicity’s composed expression, indicating that she was not worried about the accusations thrown at her.
He picked up his phone and called Ian. “Send the police to escort Felicity out of that crowd. My wife shouldn’t be under the
sun.
“Yes, boss…”
Noah was aware of the conspiracy surrounding Felicity. He had read the files the previous night and knew he wasn’t the only one keeping an eye on his dear wife.
What he didn’t understand was why the Walkers were so interested in her, so much so they hired someone to spy on her, but he was determined to find out. No one could hurt her on his watch.
Meanwhile, Felicity stood tall amidst the crowd’s accusations, her voice steady and unwavering. “This is a misunderstanding.” she began, her tone firm yet composed. “I want to make it clear that I have never bullied anyone, and any video or accusation suggesting otherwise is taken out of context or manipulated.”
She paused, scanning the faces in the crowd, her eyes reflecting determination. “I take my professional integrity seriously. and I would never engage in such behaviour. I believe in fairness, respect, and collaboration in this industry. I am innocent.”

“Really? Are you accusing your junior of lying?” came the retort from the crowd.
“Are you being mean to Vivian because she’s your ex’s little sister? Is this your way of exerting revenge?”

No matter what Felicity said, she knew they would twist her words, so she didn’t bother and tried to navigate through the
crowd.
Suddenly, someone swore at her before throwing a can of water in her direction. Lilian tried to block the hit, but alas, she was too short for the task.
The can of water hit Felicity above the eye, causing her to wince in pain.
“Oh, my God. Felicity, are you okay?” Lilian exclaimed in fright. She turned to glare at the girl who threw the can, looking like a tiger ready to charge. “You really trust Vivian enough to do this. Do you think she will save you when you have to face the consequences of your actions? I have marked your face. I will make sure you pay for this…” She trailed off as Rita picked up the can of water and threw it back at the perpetrator.
It hit the female fan straight on the nose, drawing blood.
Rita’s voice thundered through the crowd, “Didn’t they teach you manners at home? Are your morals lacking? Didn’t they teach you not to disrespect your elders?!” Her words carried a ray intensity that silenced the surrounding chaos. “**king scram!” she bellowed, her eyes blazing with annoyance.
The crowd recoiled, startled by the sudden outburst. Felicity couldn’t help but feel a surge of gratitude towards Rita at the defence.
People hurriedly helped the girl with the bleeding nose, casting wary glances at Rita.
“She is crazy, someone murmured.
“What a maniac. I can’t believe I used to like her
“Isn’t this a crime?”
Rita scoffed at the murmurs. “A crime? You threw things at us first, and I defended myself. You guys are the real criminals
here!
As she finished, they heard the sounds of sirens, and the police that Noah called arrived, forming a barricade around. Felicity, separating them from the crowd. They pushed through the anti-fans.
When Felicity got into the building, Lilian immediately started fussing over her injury. Thankfully, she only sustained a light bruise.
“I’m fine, Felicity reassured Lilian. Although her head was still throbbing, it was bearable.
“Fine? They hurt your beautiful face. I should have scratched her eyes out. Just wait till your husb-Noah hears about this Lilian almost slipped up as she typed away on her phone, but thankfully, she was able to control her tongue. She quickly turned and left to make a quick call.
Felicity turned to reprimand Rita. “You shouldn’t have done that Do you know the gravity of what you’ve done? You’ve only managed to draw more hate from the public.”
Rita’s reputation was already hanging from a thin thread. She needed to gain more supporters or she would fall off the grid soon, so pulling a stunt like this was detrimental to her career.
“If I cared what the public thought of me, I wouldn’t be standing here, Miss Orion. My image is already s**t anyway Nothing

can make it worse, Rita wasn’t bothered. Up to her, she would have beat some sense into those anti-fans once and for all. “You should apply some ice on that.” She said before sauntering off.
Watching her walk off, Felicity remembered the way she threw the can at the girl, and called out behind her, “You have a good aim, by the way!”
“Thanks!” Rita smirked without turning back.
As she left, the director rushed over to Felicity. “Miss Orion, are you alright? I heard there was an altercation and you sustained an injury, Hurry, we have first aid here.”
“I’m fine, it’s just a bruise. An ice pack would do.”
“Are you sure? If it’s serious, we can cancel the shoot for today.”
“No, we can’t do that for me. It’s my fault the shoot has been delayed thus far. The anti-fans were here for me. I’m sorry for all the troubles.”
“It’s alright. These people go crazy all the time for irrelevant reasons,” the director reassured her. Take some ice to reduce the swelling
Felicity gratefully took the ice pack and went to her workstation to start getting ready. The makeup artist was already there waiting for her.
After leaving the ice pack on her face for about ten minutes, she took it off and motioned for the artist to start with her makeup. The brunette lady expertly began applying makeup on her face.
Felicity noticed from the day they met that the lady wasn’t the chatty type. She was always quiet when she worked, to the point that most people thought she was nonexistent. It was an intriguing quality.
Feeling Felicity’s intense gaze on her, the lady became wary. “Don’t you like the look? I could switch it up a little if you’re dissatisfied.”
Felicity smiled and shook her head. “No, the makeup is perfect as always.” The lady let out a sigh of relief and resumed her work, but Felicity’s next words made her freeze in her spot.
