Wicked Scheme Lost a problem Got a man novel Chapter 46

Chapter 46
Felicity drove home feeling agitated. Only after having a cold bath did she calm down completely. She couldn’t believe she let Caster’s scheme get to her like this. Vivian working with her wasn’t a coincidence; nothing ever was with them.
What plot were they cooking up now? Why were they hunting her? Felicity couldn’t shake her paranoia.
It had been almost five months since she came back in time. She was five months pregnant when her baby was murdered. The day when her unborn child was killed was gradually approaching, plaquing her dreams with nightmares.
The feeling of crashing against the flight of stairs as Vivian smirked down at her haunted her, and with each passing day, it became worse. Seeing Vivian’s face again triggered those memories.
Her phone rang, jolting her from her reverie. She answered, “Hello?”
“Felicity! Check Vivian’s Instagram feed now and see her post,” Lilian’s urgent voice came through.
While still on the phone, she went to Vivian’s page to see a video of herself leaving Everspring agency with a caption underneath:
II deluded myself, Miss Orion thinks I’m unworthy to work with her.]
After that, Vivian posted a photo of her with red and puffy eyes, giving the impression that she had just cried. The image tugged at the hearts of her fans, prompting them to start attacking Felicity online.
Felicity has such an innocent face, but who knew she was a true b**h underneath. She doesn’t care about her juniors.]
(Such prejudice, taking their family feud to the industry.]
[Just because she landed a role after two years, she thinks she’s too big.]
Felicity read the comments with a blank expression, impressed by Vivian’s scheme. It was very elaborate.
“Felicity, I found out who leaked your contract with Everspring. Lilian informed her over the phone.
“Who was it?” Felicity asked, raising an eyebrow at Lilian’s revelation.
When Lilian told her, Felicity frowned. It was someone she hadn’t suspected at all, but people could be disappointing. “Thank you, Lilian.”
“Don’t thank me. This is all my fault. If I had just controlled my excitement… I’ll tell the agency to release a statement on your behalf. Don’t let the negative comments get to you, Lilian offered some words of comfort, feeling extremely guilty for everything.
Felicity smiled, “I won’t let them. Don’t beat yourself up, okay? Get some rest,” she said and hung up. She quickly dialled another number. After three rings, it connected. “lan, can I ask a favour? I want you to help me investigate-someone.”
lan was giving Noah daily reports when Felicity called. Noah instructed him to put her on-loudspeaker so he could hear what was being said.
Hearing Felicity’s request, lan remembered the pile of work on his table. How could he squeeze this in? He wanted to decline, but the dark look Noah gave him made him think twice
“Sure. Who do you want me to investigate?” he asked, hiding his reluctance.

“I will forward the details to you,” Felicity replied.
Ian glanced at Noah, “Should I tell Noah about it?” he asked, and Noah sat up, waiting for her answer.
There was a pause on the line before Felicity responded, “No, let’s keep this between us. I don’t want him to worry. Thanks.” And the call ended.
Noah was displeased. He couldn’t shake off the feeling of being sidelined, of being left out of Felicity’s plans. Was he not trustworthy enough? Was there something lacking in their relationship? He couldn’t pinpoint the exact reason for Felicity’s reluctance to involve him, and it gnawed at him like a persistent itch he couldn’t scratch. He sighed heavily, running a hand through his hair in frustration.
He dismissed lan and continued sulking in his office.
Later that evening when he came home, he was still aggravated.
He found Felicity setting the table and hugged her from behind. “Haven’t I told you not to cook? You’re going to injure your pretty hands,” he said with a deep voice, and he slightly nibbled on her ears.
Felicity hadn’t expected it and froze in her spot, waves of emotions coursing through her as his teeth grazed her tender skin.
As tingles of anticipation travelled down her spine, goosebumps rose on Felicity’s skin, and her body hairstood on end-all ignited by the soft, teasing bite. It was a sensation she had never experienced before, sending a rush of heat straight to her
core.
To her surprise, a soft, involuntary moan escaped her lips, only to be quickly stifled as she realised her own audacity. She bit down on her lip, trying to suppress the rising wave of pleasure.
Noah’s lips curled into a devilish smile at her reaction. With a gentle tug, he pulled her hand away, his eyes smouldering with desire as he whispered, “Don’t hold back, my love. Let me hear every sound of your pleasure. With that, he trailed a path of teasing kisses down her neck, each one sending shivers of ecstasy through her body.
Felicity’s protests melted away as Noah’s lips danced over her skin, igniting a fire within her that she couldn’t resist. Her breath hitched in her throat as his kisses grew more urgent, his touch more demanding. Every caress, every nibble, drove her to the brink of ecstasy, leaving her trembling with anticipation.
Lost in a haze of desire, Noah’s grip tightened around her, his kisses growing more fervent with each passing moment.
Suddenly he remembered all the grievances he held towards her. From the lunch with Caster to the secret she wanted to keep from him. He couldn’t control himself and his kisses became more aggressive. As he kissed her neck, he was overcome with the desire for revenge, like a predator who had captured his prey, he bit down on her neck hard.
Felicity almost screamed in pain at his abrupt behaviour. She winced, prying herself from his grip and glaring at him.
As Noah watched the blood slide down her neck, he felt a twinge of guilt “Sorry,” he mumbled, looking pitiful and innocent.
“Why did you do that?! Are you a werewolf or a vampire?!” Felicity couldn’t believe he had just bitten her like an animal. What had gotten into him? She had actually been enjoying the action until then.
Noah couldn’t bear it anymore and cornered her against the wall trapping her with both of his hands. Felicity’s eyes widened as his face inched closer to hers.
“Why did you ask lan for help and not me?” he demanded, his expression filled with aggrievement, as if someone had stolen a multi-million-dollar contract from him.
Felicity spotted a strange expression on her face at his question. That was the reason he was behaving so strangely? She was

tempted to roll her eyes at his childish behaviour, but she refrained from doing so. God knows what he would do to her if
she did.
“lan told you that?” she asked cautiously.
“I’m his boss. He can’t hide anything from me,” Noah asserted.
“I didn’t want to bother you….” Felicity started to explain.
“Nothing g you do will ever be a bother. If it is, then I want you to bother me for eternity!” Noah’s declaration caught Felicity off guard. Was this a confession of sorts?
The real reason she hadn’t asked Noah for help was that she was afraid he would react the way he did with Jonah. She wanted to handle this problem herself. Caster was her problem, not his, and she didn’t want to drag him into her schemes. He had already done enough for her, and it would be selfish to ask for more.
Felicity sighed. She should have expected lan to tattle on her. When she meets lan next time, she would give him a good smack on the head.
Meanwhile, Ian, who was sleeping peacefully at home, suddenly sneezed in his sleep. He woke up and glanced at his closed. window. “Who is thinking of me in the middle of the night?” he wondered aloud, feeling a strange tingle at the back of his neck.
