Well, two can play this game.
“Georgia, what are you talking about? I never went to Emerald Hotel with anyone. I to Emerald Hotel with anyone. I didn’t go to any hotel,” Felicity blinked innocently. She smirked inwardly when Georgia froze in her spot but she quickly recovered.
“Don’t you remember? Of course, you were so drunk last night that you must have forgotten. You told me that you were ready and that you would spend the night with Caster-
“You must have had a lot to drink last night, Georgia, Felicity cut her off as a sympathetic look morphed on her face. She turned to her father, “Dad, I don’t know what’s going on. Yesterday, Georgia, and I went to a party where we drank a lot in celebration. When I felt dizzy, I took a cab to my apartment downtown before coming here this morning.”
Georgia looked stump for words as she shook her head frantically from side to side, “No, Caster picked you up and took you to the hotel remember?”
“He may have picked me up but I went straight home,” Felicity denied. She didn’t wait for Georgia to refute before adding, “Is there any proof that I spent the night with Caster? Are there any photos? No, right. Someone is trying to tarnish my name.”
Patricia cleared her throat softly, “Why would anyone want to spoil your name? Nobody has any reason to do that which means they actually saw you at the hotel.”
And the witch has finally spoken. Felicity rolled her eyes.
“Aunty, I’m a celebrity. Many people want to watch me crumble but I won’t let them,” She said before kneeling in front of her father, “The Orion family name was ruined because of me but I promise to fix this.”
“You want to fix this?!” Connor yelled pointing a finger at her, his face filled with anger, “Then break up with that good-for-nothing. You are a daughter of the Orion family. you deserve better than him, and don’t you dare tell me you love him. He is brainwashing you.”
Tears poured down from her eyes and her lips were slightly open as she gazed at her father. Those around her were almost moved to tears by how pitiful she looked kneeling on the floor.

Chapter 4
She said, “Will you forgive me if I really break up with Caster?” this was an opportunity presented to her and she wasn’t going to misuse it. She was going to use this chance to break up with that ingrate.
A thud was heard as Georgia collapsed on her knees beside Felicity, “Uncle, please don’t force Felly and Caster to break up. They both love each other dearly.”
Felicity almost choked Georgia right there, She clenched her fist as she resisted the urge to punch her cousin.
Georgia was trying to preserve Felicity and Caster’s relationship because that the only way they could get Orion’s wealth and live happily ever after.
Felicity knew their plan now. They might have succeeded in her first life but they weren’t getting their way this time.
She grabbed Georgia’s hand, “No, I have ruined this family’s name enough, now I realise that and I want to gain Father’s forgiveness. If this is the only way then I will do it. I will break up with Caster.”
“But what about your happiness? How will Caster feel? He loves you.” Georgia tried to
reason.
“My happiness doesn’t matter. I’m sure Caster will understand.” Felicity said leaving no room for arguments. “Daddy, I will accept any punishment you give me.”
Connor cleared his throat as he relaxed. Perhaps this daughter of his wasn’t a lost cause after all. He was happy to see her repentant. God knows the amount of sleepless nights he and his wife have had because of Felicity and her fantasy with that boy.
Felicity gazed at her father with her fingers crossed. Only he could determine her fate
now.
“Which press company spread fake news about my daughter without proof? I will make sure they run out of business. Who dares mess with the Orion family?”
His words brought a smile to Felicity’s face, “You should find the person who gave the false tip too.” she added and Georgia shifted uncomfortably much to Feilicity’s delight. Felicity didn’t have power yet, all she had was the Orion name and with her soiled reputation, people no longer respected her. Right now, she didn’t have the power to bring the people that wronged her down but she promised she would soon. Very soon.

Chapter 4
“We shouldn’t take this too far. The person just saw someone who looked like you and misunderstood.” Georgia stuttered afraid that she would be caught by her uncle.
“No, he or she needs to pay,” Felicity refuted, “My name is ruined because of them.”
“Connor, just let this one slide. A harmless rumour wouldn’t hurt us. It’s nothing a huge party can’t fix. When we throw a party, everyone will forget about the rumours.” Patricia tried to appease her brother. She too was aware that her daughter was responsible for
this.
“But it hurt my daughter. We can’t let random people think that it is okay to say nonsense about our family,” Connor argued with Patricia. Felicity felt like hugging her father.
“W-well-” Patricia struggled for words to say but Georgia interrupted her.
“The article was taken down,”
Felicity’s head shut up in surprise. “What?!” She grabbed her phone and checked and the article was taken down.
She scowled. She was going to make her father find out about the anonymous source and lead him to Georgia. It would have done enough damage but now her plans were ruined.
Why would a gossip site bring down a juicy gossip? She threw Georgia a look but Georgia looked as surprised as she was. Then who did it?
“Those people still have a little sense. That’s good.” Connor said. Felicity nodded as she, slowly stood up from the floor, her knees were aching. “I didn’t tell you to stand up. It haven’t forgiven you yet.”
Felicity slowly knelt back down. She had forgotten how harsh her father could be. “What do you want me to do?” she asked.
“Well, since you have decided to break up with that boy,” He started, “This morning we received a proposal from the Elsworth family.”
His announcement took everyone aback. Elsworth family? The Elsworth family was one of the few families richer than them. They had businesses in every sector of the economy. Everyone wanted to be associated with them.
Why would such a prestigious family send them a proposal? Felicity thought long and

hard but she could not remember the Elsworth family sending then a proposal in her previous life. This was new. What changed?
“W-what proposal?” Felicity had a bad feeling about this.
Her father paused before saying, “A marriage proposal. It seems their eldest son has taken a liking to you.”
Time seemed to slow down as Felicity waited for her father to tell her he was joking but the stoic look on his face did not deter.
“Wait, what?!” She exclaimed, mirroring the expression of everyone in the room.
“You are getting engaged.”
Well, shit. This wasn’t what she planned. Perhaps parents didn’t always know best
