Chapter 3
When Felicity woke up, it was already six in the morning. She found herself alone on a huge bed and her body ached as she moved. There was also a fierce pang on her head.
She furrowed her brows in confusion as she slowly sat up on the bed trying to figure out where she was. She heard a faint sound of water rushing in the bathroom indicating that she had spent the night with someone.
Immediately, all her memories rushed back to her. She gasped and blushed ferociously when she remembered what had transpired. Even in this life, she had ended up losing her innocence but at least this time it was her choice.
A phone beside her rang startling her. She picked it up to find out that it wasn’t hers. It was that of the mysterious man she had slept with.
She hurriedly wobbled off the bed as she heard the shower turn off, and put on her clothes before running out of the room, snatching a sunglass from the nightstand.
She was sure the man could buy another one. He wouldn’t be upset about one glass. She needed it if she wanted to sneak out of this hotel unnoticed. She was still unsure whether Georgia had called the press or not.
In her past life, the press had arrived by seven sharp so she had exactly an hour to escape this hotel and make up a believable story for where she went.
Thankfully, there were only a few people around. She managed to slip into the elevator and escape outside without any unwanted attention. She bought a mask and some birth. control pills from a store outside before hailing a cab. She got pregnant on her previous life and she wasn’t about to make the same mistake again.
“Orion Mansion,” The driver’s eyes widened as he gazed at the mysterious and haggard- looking lady from his rearview mirror. He stared at the clothes that was hanging loosely from her body, they appeared to have been ripped off at some point as he could see
some tears.
What could a woman like this have to do with the prestigious Orion family? He thought.

The driver suddenly froze in his seat when the lady tilted her head slightly. Although she was wearing dark shades, he could feel her piercing gaze on his skin making him shrink in his seat in fright.
“Did I stutter?” Felicity glared at the man.
“N-no, ma’am. He trembled before driving away.
Meanwhile in the hotel room,
Noah walked out of the bathroom with a towel hanging on his waist, leaving his abs on display. He brushed back some strands of his wet hair and frowned when he saw that the lady on his bed had disappeared.
He picked his phone from the nightstand and dialled a number, “Is it done?”
“Yes, I have all the information you need. But are you sure? She has quite an interesting history. It’s kind of sad actually.” A cheery voice answered. “I can’t believe you spent the night with her. Are you interested in her?”
“Shut up and do as you’re told, lan.”
“Yes, sir.”
His phone pinged as lan sent him the information he wanted. “Felicity Orion,” He mused as he stared at her picture in his phone.
Dropping the phone back down, Noah noticed that his glasses on the nightstand was missing. He chuckled lightly. “This will be interesting.”
Felicity was almost moved to tears when she arrived at her family’s gate. The majestic golden gate stood tall and imposing to passersby.
She alighted the cab and sighed as she took in the scenery. It had been ten years since she last returned here. Tears gathered in her eyes as she recalled all the fun memories she had in this place.
The house was very big because it was passed down from generation to generation.

There was a big pavement with a green field by each side. The paveway opens up to a water fountain in the middle of the compound.
‘Caster, you won’t succeed this time. I will make sure to ruin you before you can ruin me,’ She swore in her heart, clenching her fist
She walked into the mansion. Careful not to attract any attention to herself, she sneaked into her room and changed out of her haggard clothes.
She was going to see her father for the first time after so many years and she would not let him see her disoriented. This life she would not be a disgrace.
She stripped and took a shower, examining the love marks on her neck as she did. She sighed as she didn’t remember anything apart from pouncing on the unsuspecting man in the hallway. After that, everything was blank. She couldn’t even remember the man’s face clearly.
Strangely, she didn’t feel any pain down there. She remembered when she spent a night with Caster years ago, she almost died from the pain.
But she didn’t think much of it. She had to hurry as everyone would wake up interrogate where she had been.

After freshening up, she wore a gown and covered all her love marks with foundation cursing Georgia for her predicament as she did.
When it was exactly right, she came out of her room to the sitting room like nothing had happened.
“You insolent child!” Felicity’s face was whipped to the side by the force of her aunty’s slap, a red bruise imprinted on her fair and flawless skin. She didn’t react as her grabbed her shoulders and shook her, “How long will you behave like this? When will
aunty you stop disgracing this family? Aren’t you ashamed? I didn’t raise you like this!” Felicity just stood and stared at her aunt’s tear-stained face in shock. It still felt surreal standing in front of her. Her young aunt was looking healthier than ever.
Her gaze wandered to everyone in the sitting room. Her father, Connor Orion, was sitting on the couch with a grim expression on his stern face. The maids and butlers. were pretending to be busy when they were just trying to eavesdrop on what was going
on.
This had become a common occurrence in the house.

Her father and Aunt Patricia were step-siblings. Aunt Patricia came into the Orion family when her mother married Connor’s dad.
A few years ago when Georgia was still young, her father died in an accident. Connor being the kind-hearted brother he was, decided to take his widowed sister and his niece in. It had been so long since she heard much from her father’s voice. She missed him so much that she was moved to tears, making the spectators think she was crying out of guilt.
She quickly wiped her tears and opened her mouth to respond when Georgia barged into the room, heaving.
“Cousin! Where have you been? I have been looking all over for you!” Georgia exclaimed with wide eyes. She was very surprised to find Felicity here instead of the hotel room as planned. She and Caster had spent several hours searching for her to complete their plans but they couldn’t find the girl anywhere.
She continued, “Have you heard the news? Someone tipped the press that you spent the night with Caster at the Emerald Hotel. People are calling you a gold digger,” Tears gathered around the rims of Georgia’s eyes as she looked at Felicity pitifully, “I should. have stopped you from going through with your plan last night. This wouldn’t have. happened. I’m sorry, I know I promised I wouldn’t tell anyone that you were planning. to sleep with him but this is wrong.
“You what?” Connor yelled making everybody flinch in fright except Felicity. She stood unmoving in her spot, “You gave yourself to that imbecile! I should have disowned you a long time ago, now you have dragged my family’s name into the mud.”
Felicity scoffed in disbelief. They had spread the news about her spending the night
with Caster when they knew it wasn’t true.
She had hoped that she was wrong, that Georgia didn’t betray her from the start but
