Felicity was a little startled by the ferocity of Rebecca’s tone. Her cold gaze was enough to make anyone feel uneasy. Now she understood where Noah got his intensity from.
Despite Rebecca’s outward charm, Felicity felt a chill creeping up her spine. It was a veiled threat disguised as motherly advice.
Her eyes
darted to the tea she was currently sipping. A woman like Rebecca couldn’t be ordinary despite her loving facade. Felicity wondered if the tea was just “tea”.
Smiling warmly. Felicity responded, “Absolutely, I couldn’t agree more. Your son means the world to me, and I promise to always treasure and care for him with the utmost love and respect. She met Rebecca’s gaze with determination. “I hope we can build a strong relationship based on trust and mutual understanding.”
“I hope we can,” Rebecca nodded, satisfied. “Speaking of trust, I didn’t poison your tea, if that’s what you wouldn’t murder my new daughter-in-law in cold blood like that Fear not.”
were thinking. I
Felicity smiled as she twirled the liquid in her cup before bringing it to her lips for a sip. She brought the cup back down and smiled.
“Honestly, I really like you. How is married life?” Rebecca continued the conversation as if nothing had happened.
One thing was clear to Felicity now, nothing was what it seemed in this house. She couldn’t help but wonder what she had gotten herself into.
Not long after, they decided to take their leave. Rebecca and Finnic walked the three of them to the door and bid farewell. By now, it was already night.
Felicity didn’t speak to Axel before entering the car. The ride from the mansion to their estate was quiet, filled with different thoughts brewing in Felicity’s heart.
But overall, this dinner was better than the one she had with Caster’s family.
Immediately upon arriving home, Felicity confronted Noah. “Tell me the real reason why you married me.”
Noah frowned. “I’ve told you before, I like you.”
Felicity scoffed as she took a step closer to him. “That night when I was attacked, you knew it was going to happen, and that’s why Ian arrived just in time. You knew I met Axel and that he was almost killed. Tell me, what kind of shit are you guys involved in?”
Noah sighed, loosening his tie. “You shouldn’t worry about that. He just got himself in some trouble, but we have sorted it
out.
“What kind of trouble was that? He almost died.”
“I will tell you when the time is right. Trust me,” Noah replied, holding her gaze firmly.
Felicity’s anxiousness subsided, and she went calm. “Fine, I will hold you to that,” she replied before heading to the room to
freshen up.
Felicity woke up the next morning and immediately turned on the TV. She helped herself to the most expensive wine in the

house, feeling in the best mood today.
Why? Today was the signing.
She watched patiently until she saw Caster’s face appear on the TV Today was the day that Mario and Wal Inc. officially became business partners. Since it was a European investor, Caster had made it a public display to make his competitors jealous
After investigating Don James, he didn’t find anything suspicious about him or his investment. It turned out everything was pure coincidence, so he let his guard down a little.
As Felicity watched him shake hands with Xander, she smirked. Caster had just sealed his fated demise.
Noah walked into the sitting room to see Felicity giggling to herself, and he was stumped until he saw the news. A frown immediately crept onto his face.
So, she had done all this for her ex. Caster. He thought she had moved on from him, but it was clear she may still have some lingering feelings.
When Felicity spotted Noah, she smiled. “I’m in a good mood. How about I take us out for dinner? My treat,” she suggested.
A black line formed on Noah’s forehead. He was not going to go and celebrate her ex’s victory. With jealousy brewing inside him, he spat, “Tm very busy. Enjoy yourself,” and stormed off to work.
Felicity sat perplexed by his attitude. Her previously good mood was thwarted a little. Why was he mad at her when she was supposed to be the angry one?
Well, she didn’t have a shoot today since the film was delayed, trying to sort out the scandal. She might as well go out to celebrate by herself.
She continued watching the news and laughing.
Orion mansion,
Georgia, Patricia, and Connor sat in front of the TV, watching the news. Connor wore a dark expression, his teeth gnashing with anger.
His blood boiled at the news that Caster had secured the contract. It meant their expansion would take place and their company would surpass his on the charts.
How could fate bestow something good upon him after what he had done to his family? His daughters!
Connor grasped his chest, feeling a pang of pain, his frown deepening.
“Connor, are you alright? Is your chest aching again?” Patricia asked in concern.
Seeing the worried look on his sister’s face, he reassured her, “I’m fine. I just need to rest my head,” he said, looking at the TV with a sour expression, “Watching bad people succeed is bad for my health.”
Patricia assisted him up to his room. Before he slept, pouring him a cup of tea. “This will help you sleep.”
“What will I do without you?” He muttered, downing the whole cup in one go. He smiled as he started to drift off to sleep.

Patricia smirked. “What will you do indeed.” She got up and returned to the sitting room, sitting next to Georgia, who was joyfully watching the TV.
Despite the chaos going on the internet about her and Rita, she was still calm. Rita couldn’t battle her. Who was Rita compared to the blossoming Rose?
The onl
only thing that made her almost die from rage was Felicity’s post with Vicky James. How the hell did Felicity meet such
an icon?
Georgia spent thirty minutes trashing her room after seeing that post. Once again, she felt as though something precious had been stolen from her. She had longed to own an exclusive dress from Vicky for ages, but Felicity couldn’t resist snatching that one thing away from her.
What made it worse was that the entire internet was on the verge of exploding with curiosity, yet the people involved hadn’t bothered to offer any explanation.
Felicity had cemented her status as the first actress in City B to receive not one, but ten exclusive dresses from Vicky.
Georgia didn’t know how Felicity managed it, but she vowed to find out.
Watching Caster on TV was the only thing that made her day better.
Patricia glared at her daughter before striking her on the head. “You are still seeing that man, aren’t you? Georgia, you are very beautiful. Look for a better man.”
Georgia grumbled, rubbing the spot her mother hit, “You are only saying that because Felicity received a proposal from the Elsworths.”
“Yes, why don’t you receive such a proposal too and get us out of this hellhole? Are you satisfied with the life you are living? Don’t you want unimaginable wealth?” Patricia asked her daughter.
“It’s your fault we are living like this. If you had married a better man, things would have been different, so don’t pour your regrets
on me.” Georgia rebuffed, glaring at Patricia. She blamed her mother for everything she was going through. If the had married a wealthy man then they won’t have been suffering
Patricia went silent as she slowly grabbed Georgia’s shoulders. “I know that. That’s why I’m slowly taking back everything we deserve.”
Georgia took a step back when she saw her mother’s crazed gaze. “Mom, what did you do?”
Patricia tucked Georgia’s hair behind her ear. “Don’t worry about it. Connor is sick, and Felicity is not here. I think it’s time.”
