Wicked Scheme Lost a problem Got a man novel Chapter 34

Chapter 34
Vicky smirked, “No wonder he married you. You both have trust issues. I wonder how
you’ll react when you find out.” She murmured the last part slowly to ensure Felicity wouldn’t overhear.
“What did you say?” Felicity inquired.
Vicky waved her hand dismissively, “Nothing, she replied, placing a hand on Felicity’s shoulder. “I’ve said it before, any member of the Elsworth family is a friend of mine, and giving a lifetime of dresses to my friends is nothing.”
Felicity regarded her with scepticism. A lifetime of her designs would cost trillions of dollars. That seemed excessive for a mere friend. “What did the Elsworths do to earn such favour with you?”
“Let’s just say… we owe them a lot.”
Ian also mentioned the same thing. What did the Elsworth actually do for them? During an interview, Felicity remembered Vicky mentioning coming from the slums before she was discovered and became a star.
Could it be that the Elsworths discovered them? It would explain the sibling’s loyalty to the family.
Felicity also wondered. Since Georgia was acquaintanced with Vicky in her past life, could it be she also encountered any of the Elsworths?
“Let’s get you dressed,” Vicky squealed and clapped excitedly, breaking Felicity from her train of thought.
They started rummaging through the rack of clothes and Vicky also made her do a mini fashion show and insisted on taking lots of pictures.
Her bubbly and carefree personality drew Felicity in until she finally let her guard down a little. She was also grateful for the encounter because it would surely bring her a lot of benefits.
Felicity was not going to miss this chance to show off. Her enemies would die from jealousy.
By the end of the day, Felicity was adorned in a beige vintage dress with a lace jacket,

accessorised with a charming diamond purse and heels. Her hair cascaded freely around her face, adding to her transformation.
In her ensemble, Felicity exuded an air of old money, a stark departure from her usual attire, yet a reminder of her true lineage.
“Vicky, you’ve truly outdone yourself. I feel stunning,” Felicity exclaimed with delight as she admired her reflection in the mirror.
“I’ll take that as a compliment, Vicky responded confidently, swishi her hair to the side.
Felicity chuckled and glanced at herself once more. “Have you ever had the chance to meet Noah’s parents? What are they like?” she inquired.
Vicky hummed thoughtfully. “They’re good people, Felicity. I’m certain they’ll adore you,” she reassured.
Despite Vicky’s assurance, Felicity couldn’t shake off her doubts entirely. She forced a smile, not fully convinced.
Her past experience meeting Caster’s parents had been a complete disaster. They had belittled her, attempting to humiliate her at every turn during dinner. Their criticisms had left her feeling utterly unworthy of being part of their family, and Caster had done nothing to intervene.
She couldn’t help but feel unworthy of marrying him, given his higher social standing and wealth. It seemed understandable if they were to treat her with disdain.
Ian’s knock interrupted her thoughts, signalling that it was time to depart. With a nod to Vicky, Felicity bid her farewell and made her way outside to meet Noah.
There, she found Noah waiting, resplendent in his tuxedo. As she emerged, he drew in a soft breath, captivated by her appearance.
This was the first time he had seen her in a short dress, and her long, fair legs enchanted him. He couldn’t tear his gaze away from her, his mind filled with desires that pulsed through him at that moment.
“You look enchanting,” Noah breathed out as Felicity approached.
“Thank you. It’s all thanks to Vicky. But why didn’t you mention earlier that you knew her?” Felicity questioned.

“I didn’t realise it was significant. And by the way, you treat me poorly,” Noah retorted.
Felicity scoffed in disbelief, “I treat you poorly? You tricked me into marriage, forced me to leave my home, stole my bed, and I’m the one who treats you poorly?”
You stole her bed?” Vicky interjected, bewildered.
“I’ll explain later,” Ian reassured his sister, patting her hand.
Noah and Felicity both glared at him at once.
“Let’s go.” Noah said, opening the door for Felicity to go in.
Once inside the car, Noah settled into the driver’s seat, and they waved farewell to the siblings before driving off towards the Elsworth mansion.
Throughout the journey, Felicity fidgeted nervously, twirling her fingers in silence. Sensing her unease, Noah reached for her hands, intertwining their fingers. “Don’t be nervous. I won’t let anyone bully you,” he reassured her softly.
A small, grateful smile graced Felicity’s lips at his words. To others, it might have seemed insignificant, but to her, it meant everything to know that someone was there to defend her.
Felicity cleared her throat, the smile fading from her face as she attempted to withdraw her hands from Noah’s grasp. However, he held on tighter, intertwining their fingers.
Noah tutted softly. “We need to act like a loving couple in front of my parents. Make it convincing. We’re almost there,” he reminded her.
With a resigned sigh, Felicity left her hand where it was as the car continued its journey. As they turned and entered a secluded area, Felicity’s anxiety grew. The surroundings were densely forested, causing her to question if they had taken a wrong turn.
Despite her concerns, Noah continued to drive calmly, as if he knew exactly where they were headed.
“Are you sure this is the right way?” Felicity asked, her worry evident in her voice.
Noah hummed in response, gently stroking her hands with his thumb. “We’ll be there soon,” he reassured her.

As they continued driving for about another ten minutes, Felicity gradually began to notice a clearing ahead. Soon enough, they arrived in front of a**ive gate, which opened automatically as they approached.
Felicity’s jaw dropped at the sight of the colosal house beyond the gate. It resembled a palace, with stone wall and a grand fountains the centre of the compound.
Compared to this, the Orion mansion wermed insignificant. This was true royalty: However, Felicity couldn’t shake off her confusions as to why such an opulent residence was situated in the maddie of nowhere.
Adding to her bewilderment was the presence of numerous security guards. As they exited the car, the bodyguards even went as far as to bow
Turning to her husband. Felicity’s shack was evident as the questioned through clenched teeth, still maintaining a smile, to there something you’re not telling me?
