Chapter 33
“Sister-in-law… I mean Miss Felicity, it’s been so long. How have you been?”
Felicity opened the door to see lan’s smiling face. His cheerfulness did little to alleviate her anxiousness; if anything, it only heightened it.
“Good day to you too, Ian. What are you doing here?” She asked, her curiosity piqued. It seemed too early for him to be visiting.
“I called him over. He’s your escort for today,” Noah interjected.
“Escort for what?” Felicity noticed he was trying to deflect the conversation but she wasn’t going to let him succeed. “I don’t need an escort. I can take care of myself,” Felicity stated firmly, crossing her arms in defiance.
Noah was about to respond when Ian chimed in, “Do you have anything to wear to the dinner today? I can ask Vicky James to style you,” he suggested.
Felicity gasped, her hand flying to her chest, her mouth hanging open in disbelief. “Shut up. You know Vicky James?”
“We’re best buddies,” Ian replied casually.
Felicity found it hard to believe. Vicky James was a renowned fashion designer in City B. Her designs were top-notch, and she had styled several wealthy individuals. None of her dresses came cheap; they were all priced at over ten thousand dollars. She was notoriously difficult to meet, as many sought after her for exclusive designs.
In her past life, Felicity nearly died of jealousy when Georgia flaunted an exclusive dress she received from Vicky after winning Best Actress three times in a row. Georgia had boasted about it to the world, claiming to be the first actress ever to wear such a dress.
But how did an assistant like Ian manage to know someone as prestigious as Vicky? Felicity narrowed her eyes at him, suspicion clouding her thoughts. “Who are you?” Ian chuckled, seemingly aware of her doubts. “I’m Ian James. Pleasure to meet you.”
It took a moment for everything to click, and Felicity’s eyes widened in realisation. “Oh, my God…” She turned to Noah with excitement, who nodded in confirmation. “Hah! You’re Vicky James’ brother?”

Chapter 33
Ian nodded, basking in the glory. “I am.”
Felicity squealed excitedly and jumped around. “I will go get ready!”
As Felicity dashed to the bathroom, behind her, Noah and Ian shared a subtle look of relief. In those few seconds, their eyes communicated volumes.
Twenty minutes later, Ian was driving her to his sister’s home. But there was still one question nagging her. She turned to Ian, “If your sister is a star, what are you doing working as an assistant?”
“It’s the path I chose,” Ian answered simply, his eyes focused on the road.
“What made you choose such a boring path?” Felicity was curious. Other men like Ian would have been living lavishly on an exotic island with a sister like Vicky. But Ian was here, slaving away in a company that wasn’t even his.
Ian answered, “I love my job.”
“That’s a lie,” Felicity retorted.
“Okay, you caught me. I don’t,” Ian laughed lightly before turning serious. “But I owe Noah.”
“You’re doing this because my husband forced you to?”
“No, he isn’t forcing me. It’s my choice to work for him, and I don’t regret it.”
“What’s your relationship with my husband?” From the beginning, Felicity had noticed something strange about their interaction. They were too familiar with each other. There had to be some kind of history to it
Felicity couldn’t shake the feeling that their dynamic was more than just employer and employee.
“We are not a couple if that’s what you are thinking.” Ian tried to evade the question but Felicity was not having it.
“No jokes.”
“Okay,” Ian nodded, contemplating how to explain. “Noah saved my life.”
Felicity’s curiosity intensified, but before she could delve deeper, Ian diverted the

conversation.
“We’re here, he announced as they pulled up to a villa.
Exiting the car, they were greeted by a lady who rushed over to them.
You’re here! You must be Felicity. I’ve heard so much about you. Felicity found herself bombarded with kisses on both cheeks before she could fully process the situation.
“Hello, I’m Vicky”
The person before Felicity had her hair styled in a messy bun whil caring ripped jeans and a cotton top.
This person was Vicky James, someone so famous that you could only admire from afar was now stretching her hands out to her for a handshake. Felicity felt honoured. Now that Felicity thought of it, she could see a slight resemblance between Ian and Vicky. They both had the same smiles and eyes, and their hair colour was similar.
“Nice to meet you. I’m Felicity. I’m a big fan of your work,” She said as she shook Vicky’s hand.
“Thank you,” Vicky grinned, “Don’t be so formal. Any member of the Elsworth family is a friend of mine,” Vicky replied with a smile.
Felicity was surprised that she knew she was married to Noah. Their relationship was supposed to be a secret, but since Vicky was Ian’s sister, he probably informed her.
“Vicky, at least invite us inside first. Don’t be a bad host,” Ian’s chirpy voice chimed in. Vicky shushed him before ushering them inside. Her house was the definition of feminine, a big contrast to Noah’s plain home.
Felicity was already envisioning changes she’d make to their home when she had the time. It felt strange to call it “theirs,” but that’s what it was now. Their home.
Vicky led them to the small fashion room she had in her house. This was where all her designs were created.
There were rough sketches on the walls and some fabrics scattered on the ground. She must have been sewing when they arrived.
“I’ll be in the kitchen in case you need me,” Ian announced before disappearing from the room.

Chapter 83
Vicky rolled her eyes at her brother before turning to Felicity, “So, I heard you wanted something suitable for dinner, and I brought but some of my latest designs.” Vicky. pointed at a rack of designer clothes in a corner.
Felicity was in awe. She couldn’t believe it. The clothes were of different colours, ranging from gowns to skirts, all in her size.
How did Vicky know her size? Felicity didn’t care.
“I can pick anything I want?” Felicity asked, ogling at the designs.
“They are all yours.” Vicky informed her.
“Really?” There were over ten outfits. If she calculated the prices, it would be over a million dollars. “How much do they cost?”
Vicky laughed lightly, “You are not paying. They are yours.”
“You will give them to me for free? These are exclusive dresses.” Felicity was a little bit uncomfortable with the charity she was receiving. Everything always came with a price did it not? “What do you want in return?”
