Wicked Scheme Lost a problem Got a man novel Chapter 205

Chapter 205
Felicity walked into the Villa to see the three people she prayed to avoid in the sitting room, appearing to be having a serious
conversation.
They paused whatever they were doing immediately as she stepped into the house.
Noah was the first to acknowledge her presence. “You’re home late. Did you have a hard time at the office?”
Before Felicity answered, her eyes drifted to the documents sprawled on the table before them, wondering what was going
on.
Her eyes stopped and narrowed at the gun resting next to the papers.
Noah noticed her gaze and took the gun, tucking it behind his trousers.
The air turned awkward as Felicity gazed at them. “It was alright She finally answered the question. Clutching her bag tightly by her side, Felicity decided to go upstairs and leave them to their business.
Just as she was about to escape the tense atmosphere, Axel’s voice stopped her in her tracks.
“Aren’t you going to say hello to Ian and I? We’re not invincible, you know?” His voice had a hint of sarcasm to it.
She wanted to run up the stairs and lock herself in her room, but she couldn’t ignore a taunt thrown at her.
With her back still facing them, she replied, “That relationship died the moment you guys decided to use me as bait for a psychotic killer.”
Axel scoffed. “Believe what you want but all we did was what we thought was best for you.”
Felicity’s head whipped in his direction in anger. “Best for me?” she spat, her voice dripping with venom. “And who gave you the right to decide that?”?”
“You’re ungrateful!”
“Axel, stop.” Noah warned.
“And you’re a piece of *****t! De***d in every way!” She retorted, storming upstairs, ignoring Axel’s angry swears behind her with Noah’s reprimands.
Getting to her room, she heaved a sigh she didn’t know she was holding. Even though the door was closed, she could still make out the m****d shouting from the sitting room.
Slipping off her heels, she sank into her bed, gazing at the ceiling. After a month of inactivity, today’s work had taken a toll on her. She was beyond exhausted.
The only person she could blame for her exhaustion was Kagen. He was the main reason she was in this mess in the first place. Any time he crossed her mind, she was fueled with determination to end him once and for all.
“It’s time to end this once and for all.” She muttered, picking her handbag that she discarded on the floor, and taking out the file Noah had given her in the morning.
She got comfortable on the floor and began working. After flipping through some pages, Felicity realised her guess was right. The Elsworth had absolutely no leads on Kagen’s identity except that he was probably an illegitimate child of a top socialite.
And he tormented them for more than a decade after appearing out of the blue.

Studying the file some more, Felicity guessed Kagen was obsessed with the Elsworths, especially Noah. During the moment she spent with Kagen, she noticed Noah’s name always put him on edge and drove him to anger.
Almost as if he was jealous of Noah
Felicity mulled over the information. Kagen’s envy could easily be explained by Noah’s success. But she knew that there had to be more to the story.
Noah had delved into the criminal underworld to root out Kagen’s identity, wiping out anyone who stood in his way. But it proved futile since Kagen was a ghost.
In the past few years, they discovered Kagen had no identity. He was not in existence.
Reading through the case file concerning her and Kagen only added to Felicity’s confusion. Apparently, she and Kagen had met as kids. They might have even been friends. But that didn’t make any sense.
“Kagen” was a name that would’ve stuck in her mind because of how rare it was. Except obviously Kagen wasn’t his real
name.
Kagen’s face flashed through her mind, making her shake her head. That couldn’t be his real face, could it? That would change everything she thought she knew both in her present and past life.
A thought suddenly struck her. It was so powerful that she jolted from the floor wide-eyed. “He bled. Fuck, he bled!”
A gasp escaped Felicity’s lips before she instinctively slapped a hand over her mouth. It was like the pieces of a puzzle were clicking into place.
The memory of Kagen’s face bleeding after her attack with the shard of glass came flooding back to her. She had forgotten that detail. But now, it was as clear as day.
Kagen’s face hadn’t been a mask. It couldn’t have been. It was flesh and blood.
It was f***ng real!
If that was the case, then Felicity was in deeper trouble than she thought.
