Wicked Scheme Lost a problem Got a man novel Chapter 203

Chapter 203
The next day, Felicity woke up very early because she would be going to the office. The thought of diving herself into work sent her a brief moment of reprieve. It would be the moment of normalcy in her messed-up life.
Noah had made sure to fill her closet with a variety of clothes, so it wasn’t difficult to pick an office-like attire to wear. In the end, she settled for a dress since all the skirts and pants were a little loose on the waist from all the weight she had lost. Her perfect figure wasn’t so perfect anymore.
Sighing, Felicity stopped gazing at her reflection in the mirror and prepared herself mentally for the day ahead.
Ignoring Noah all through their stay at the Villa was something she held imperative. Seeing him always gave her confused feelings that she didn’t want.
So, that morning. Felicity decided to tiptoe out of the Villa, taking one of the cars with her. But unfortunately, her plan was thwarted when not only Noah greeted her in the sitting room, but Axel, Ian, and Cassandra as well.
“Good morning, Mrs. Elsworth.”
“Sister-in-law! Good morning!”
“I thought she was still depressed.”
“Good morning, wife of mine.”
Everybody said collectively. Felicity froze in that last step before checking the time on her phone. It wasn’t even six yet so why was the whole family complete? Cassandra was even serving them breakfast.
“Come sit, ma’am. You’re too skinny. You’re not leaving without eating,” Cassandra stated.
Felicity threw her a small glare. The thought of bolting to the door crossed her mind but she quickly dismissed it, knowing it was both pointless and embarrassing.
In the end, she reluctantly took a seat at the dining at the far end of all of them. Felicity didn’t notice the faces of the three men fall when she did that and gazed at the table helplessly as an awkward silence befell them.
For Felicity, Noah was already too much to handle and now that Axel and Ian were in the mix, she didn’t know how to react. Sure, they weren’t planning on killing her anymore, but she was still mad at them and couldn’t trust them like she used to. There was a rift in their relationship that she wasn’t willing to cover just yet.
“Here is your plate. Mr. Elsworth made it, especially for you,” Cassandra dropped a plate of fried rice before her with a clatter.
“You can cook?” Felicity heard Axel ask Noah.
“Shut up,” he replied.
Giving a fleeting glance at Noah, Felicity muttered a quick thank you and slowly dug into her food which was good, by the way, so that she wouldn’t need to talk to anyone.
The tension in the room was thick and only the sound of the spoon hitting plates could be heard. Cassandra had also retreated to the kitchen, leaving the four of them alone,
Eventually, the silence did not last long as Noah broke it. “I’ve prepared everything we’ve gathered so far about Kagen,” Noah said, his seat scraping against the floor as he pushed back and stood up.
Coming in front of Felicity, he dumped the tile in front of her. Everything you need to know about him or us is in there.”

Felicity looked at the file a bit disappointed at the size. She expected it to be a little thick. They probably didn’t know much about Kagen or they would have nailed him down already.
Wordlessly, Felicity placed the file in her handbag as Noah returned to his seat. She hurriedly shoved food into her mouth, desperate to leave as soon as possible.
When she finished her food, she wasted no time, grabbing her bag and speed walking to the doo Cassandra ran after her to hand over her packed lunch.

Noah, Ian, and Axel watched Felicity leave with looks of amusement, disappointment, and
“That was terrible,” Ian muttered, dropping his spoon. It was the first time Felicity hadn’t greeted him warmly, apart from the first time they met at her apartment. He didn’t know he could miss her smile.
“She’s an ungrateful brat. Has she forgotten how we saved her life a few days ago?” Axel angrily muttered, stabbing the chicken on his plate repeatedly with a fork. His annoyance heightened when he gazed up at Noah. “And why are you smiling?”
Noah chuckled and shrugged. “She’s cute.”
“Moron,” Axel remarked, shaking his head in disbelief at Noah. His cousin had gone insane.
