Wicked Scheme Lost a problem Got a man novel Chapter 195

Chapter 195
Before Felicity knew it, she was being driven out of the countryside and venturing deeper into the city the same city she had been trying to escape for two weeks, and with the man she hated most in the world.
Kagen, his eyes fixed on the road, remained oblivious to the quiet rage brewing within her. Felicity’s fingers caressed the handle of her pocket knife. She could end it all now, put an end to the monster.
Slowly, she pulled out the knife and envisioned herself sticking the blade into Kagen’s skin. Her urge to kill someone had never been so great. Even Georgia hadn’t annoyed her this much.
His hair, those luscious golden locks, would make for a good wig for someone deserving. His skin, so fair and smooth, would be fed to the dogs after she had minced it. And those eyes, those hauntingly beautiful blue orbs, would find their resting place in the belly of a great white shark.
“Don’t even think about it.” Kagen’s voice broke her from her thoughts.
Felicity blinked, coming back to reality. She looked up to see that they were at an intersection waiting for the light to turn green. She hadn’t noticed that they’d come this far into the city already.
She swallowed hard, her fingers still wrapped around the hilt of her knife.
Kagen’s hand moved like lightning, snatching the knife from Felicity’s grasp before she could even react. Stunned, she stared at him, her mind dazed.
When she finally realised what happened, her face morphed into anger.
“Give it back!” She shrieked and lunged at him. But Kagen quickly overpowered and pinned her down, his grip on her arm like steel.
Kagen’s sneer was mocking. “Did you really think you could harm me with that thing? Don’t underestimate me,” He scoffed before whispering, “Next time, bring a gun.”
Staring at his hateful eyes, Felicity retorted, “I will.” The words, a whispered promise.
Kagen smiled, slowly letting her go. Excitement danced in his eyes as he reached and gently stroked her head much to

Felicity wanted to snap at him and tell him there was no home for them. But she decided to save her breath. Nothing she said or did seemed to go through to him.
Instead, she massaged her hand gently which was now littered with bruises from Kagen’s iron grip. Her pale skin had turned red.
Kagen’s voice, a probing question, cut through the silence. “Did I hurt you?”
Felicity looked up to see him staring at her bruises. She quickly brought down her sleeves and turned towards the window without answering him.
Felicity noticed that Kagen wasn’t heading to the heart of the city like she expected. Her curiosity was piqued by Kagen’s unconventional route. The further they went, the less people she saw.
It led her to wonder about his life beyond their entanglement. Where did he live? What kind of family might have raised him? Did they know how sick their son was? And his upbringing what kind of background had formed such a disturbed person?
“Things will be better when we get to the mansion. As long as you just listen to me, I won’t let anyone get between us. Nothing can harm you. Your husband can never get to us…” Kagen continued rambling but Felicity’s mind shut him off.

Chapter 195
Would he be searching for her? Noah, with his vast connections and resources, should have noticed her absence by now. Would he come for her?
Felicity laughed at her thoughts. Even if Noah came, it would be to kill her not
cue her. She was all alone now.
“…you can take a stroll at the beach by the mansion. There is a big garden if you’re interested in plants. It’s really nice. I’ve also prepared a room fit for you-”
Felicity’s patience snapped. “Oh, do you ever shut up?” Her words cut through Kagen’s rambling. His voice was starting to give her a migraine.
Kagen’s brow furrowed, his mouth twisting into a displeased frown. “This attitude,” he said, “this is exactly what we have to work on. A little flogging will do the trick.”
“You wouldn’t dare.” She said.

Kagen, his gaze cold and calculating, turned to meet her eyes. “We will see about that,” His eyes held nothing but mischief in them. He definitely meant what he said.
Fear crept down Felicity’s spine and the urge to jump off the car was overwhelming.
She considered the alternative-death at Noah’s hands. Once upon a time, the thought had been a nightmare. But now, in the suffocating grip of Kagen’s obsession, it seemed almost like a welcome release, a reprieve from the terror of Kagen’s presence.
Just as she finished that thought, a car from nowhere slammed into them from the side, sending them swerving off the road. The impact was deafening, a screeching roar of metal against metal. Felicity, her body thrown against the car window, felt her skull crack against the glass, the pain pulsating through her head like a wave of electric shock.
Kagen wrestled with the car. Finally, the car shuddered to a stop, its metal frame moaning in protest.
It took a while for Felicity to regain herself. All she could hear were distorted voices and yells around her. But the only thing she could think about was the opportunity to escape. She had to use it.
“Felicity…Felicity stop. Don’t move.” She heard Kagen say. But she didn’t turn to see how he was faring.
Felicity, her vision swimming in the aftermath of the crash, heard Kagen’s voice, but his words fell on deaf ears. “F****k you, she spat, her voice h****e with pain and anger.
The evening air enveloped her as she stumbled out of the car, the pungent scent of gasoline filling her nostrils. “God, were you really listening? You answered my prayers so quickly. Thanks.”
“Felicity get back here!” Kagen yelled once again, his voice laced with raw anger.
Felicity smirked and she turned to face him. There was blood flowing from his head from the hit. Apart from that, he seemed fine.
She flipped him up and turned to run. But just as she prepared to make her escape, the sight around her made her freeze. Guns, their barrels glinting in the sunlight were pointed at her from all directions.
Felicity cursed in despair. “Oh, shit. What did I do now?” She wondered, her thoughts racing as she stared at the barrel of guns.
She soon got her answer when a familiar voice yelled.
“Sister-in-law! Walk towards me in a straight line, so I don’t accidentally blow your brains out. It’s been a while since I’ve used a machine gun. I’m quite rusty.”
Felicity felt like laughing at her situation right now. How did she go from the frying pan into the fire?
