Chapter 194
With each step, the distance between them reduced, her anger searing through the air.
“What the hell are you doing here?” Felicity seethed, her words filled with venom.
Kagen met her rage with infuriating calm, his blue eyes sparkling with cruel amusement. “I’m taking you home.” He said, the words falling flawlessly from his mouth.
Felicity wanted to pluck his teeth out and hang them on her wall
She scoffed, the sound of her dry laughter was like a discordant cackle. The onlookers’ faces contorted into that of confusion at her outburst, some girls even threw her stink eyes.
“You’re really crazy, aren’t you?” Felicity sneered, ignoring everyone around them. She wasn’t afraid to make a scene. “Is this another stunt? What are you trying to pull this time? Do you think I’m afraid of you?”
She met Kagen’s gaze with an unwavering stare, daring him to make a move.
“Afraid of me? Oh no, darling, the last thing I want is for you to be scared of me.” Kagen replied, reaching out to touch her face. But Felicity swatted his hands away.
“Don’t touch me,” Felicity backed away from him in disgust. The sight of him repulsed her to the core. “Get out of my sight,” she spat, “And quit bothering me with those creepy figurines.”
If Kagen was offended by Felicity’s actions, he didn’t show it. Instead, his eyes squinted into a smile. “Is this how you repay a favour?” He taunted, his voice dripping with condescension. “I helped you escape your murderer husband and didn’t even get a thank you. You’re being an ingrate right now.”
Felicity froze and her glare hardened. The memory of Wilfred’s lifeless body, a sickening reminder of the twisted game Kagen had played, fueled her seething rage.
She grabbed Kagen’s collar and yanked him closer to her. Kagen’s face was very close to hers now but she didn’t care. She was blinded by rage. Through gritted teeth, she snarled, “I know what you did, you egoistic maniac. You’re just as guilty as Noah is, if not more. And I promise you that I’ll make your life a living hell for what you did to that man. And I always keep my promises.”
Undeterred by her threat, Kagen gazed at her amused. “It’s funny how you’re so defensive for a man you only met twice. If I knew this was going to be an effective method, I would have done it sooner.”
Felicity’s brow furrowed. “What do you mean?”
Kagen shrugged before gently prying her hands from his shirt. He didn’t let go of her hand immediately and instead, drew her in until their body was almost touching. His voice became a hushed whisper, “You’ll find out soon enough,” Felicity could feel his smirk. “As for the figurines, how could you not want the thing that represents you most perfectly?”
Felicity’s attempt to shrug off Kagen’s grip was futile, his fingers tightening around her wrist. Her wrist stung but she would not yield, would not allow him to see her weakness. Her jaw clenched, her eyes narrowing
Kagen continued, oblivious to her pain. “That bl***dy angel is you. So beautiful and yet so wicked. Innocent but cruel. Calm but brutal. I’ve seen all your work. A gorgeous villain,” Je crooned, his lips curving into a smile that held no warmth, only possessive intent. “The angel of death.”
Felicity’s stomach turned, her revulsion a bitter taste on her tongue. She didn’t have to think hard to know that he was referring to all the lives she had destroyed. Every blood and sweat she had spilled.
The thought that he had gotten his inspiration from her made her sick in the stomach. He was the least admirer she wanted. To be idolised by a man like Kagen, to be seen as the epitome of violence, was a fate she’d never wanted, never asked for.

Felicity’s disgust was tangible. “You’re insane. Everything I did, I did with good reason. I’m nothing like you. You may have helped me out of a bad marriage, but that doesn’t give you a free pass to stalk me like a deranged puppy. Find someone else to bother.” She gritted her teeth.
Kagen’s brow furrowed at her words, his mouth twisting in irritation. “I don’t get why you’re so mad at me. I’m only doing what’s best for you. I helped you escape that trap of a marriage and now I’m showering you with praises yet you still look at me as if I’m a gum under your feet. I don’t like that.”
Felicity was glad to see a crack in his perfect facade. She smirked at his annoyance, her voice dripping with contempt, “Go to hell.*
Kagen’s fingers dug into her wrist, a desperate attempt to exert control, but she refused to flinch, refusing to show any weakness.
Kagen’s expression shifted the edge in his voice smoothing out into a veneer the words laced with an underlying menace. “I’m taking you home.”
false politeness. “Come with me,” he purred,
“No! Let me go!” Felicity yelled in a struggle. She tried to reach for her knife but Kagen was keeping her in a firm grip that she couldn’t move.
She looked at her surroundings for help but everyone seemed to have misunderstood the situation. A lady even yelled, “Just go with your Boyfriend. He’s sorry!”
“Yes, Babe. I’m terribly sorry.” Kagen added with a tinge of laughter in his tone. His laughter

Felicity knew he meant every word. She froze, searching his eyes for a shred of compassion but found zero. With a sigh, she relented and got into the car with him.
Soon they were driving out of the neighbourhood.
