Wicked Scheme Lost a problem Got a man novel Chapter 184

Chapter 184
As Noah’s lips travelled across the sensitive skin of Felicity’s neck, she remained perfectly still, her body tense in apprehension.
Tonight, he had confessed his feelings for the second time and was treating her with less restraint than he did before. She was terrified that with every passing second, he revealed more of his feelings, he would become more daring, more
insistent.
As Felicity’s body quivered beneath Noah’s, her voice emerged in a breathy plea, a desperate attempt to resist the pleasure that threatened to overwhelm her. She trashed under him. “Noah, let me go now.”
Instead of doing as he was told, Noah bent and captured her lips in a searing kiss, savouring the taste, and Felicity was too powerless to resist. Her body responded to his touch.
When Noah was done, he pulled back with a satisfied grin, feeling victorious after overpowering Felicity.
But in a swift turn of events, Felicity headbutted him with force, a blow that sent a shock through Noah’s entire body.
A painful groan escaped them both, the room reverberating with the sound of their cry of pain. But Felicity recovered quickly, her survival instincts kicking in. She shoved Noah away, a flurry of adrenaline coursing through her veins as she raced for the safety of the bedroom.
Noah chased after her but she was faster. She got to the room and slammed the door shut on his face.
Agroan resonated from the other side as Noah collided with the locked door, hitting his nose in the process, followed by his curse, a vicious mixture of frustration and pain. “F***, Felicity!” He yelled, his voice mu****d by the door between them.
“Serves you right, a****e,” Felicity called out with a victorious grin. “You better make it up to those people you punished.”
“I will if you open the door.”
“No chance. You’re sleeping on the couch tonight. Bear the consequences of taking all the beds away.” Felicity said, leaning/ back against the door with a smirk as if daring him to challenge her.
“F****k!” Noah swore and she could hear his footsteps retreat downstairs.
Felicity sighed before also shutting the door to the balcony in case Noah decided to climb up.
Tonight, she needed to clear her head. Noah’s impromptu action was very much overwhelming and if he decided to do that more often it wouldn’t be long before she fell for his charms.
But did she really want to leave?
She had to admit, the contrast between her current marriage and the one she’d shared with Caster was like the difference between night and day. In fact, these past few months were the happiest she had ever been. And she was reluctant to leave all of it behind.
Hah! She was so confused. Taking a bath to relieve some tension in her body, she turned off the lights and slid under the covers. A few times, Noah would knock and beg on the door, but Felicity told him off and he eventually stopped.
Gazing up at the ceiling, her mind wandered back to the text she received earlier and she picked up her phone. Just as she did, it vibrated as another text came in, making her seat up.

“I would have told you what I know, but I don’t believe in spoilers. Why don’t you come and see for yourself?” – the text message came with another pinned location.
The accompanying pin drop marked a deserted location, isolated and barren, a wasteland in the middle of nowhere.

Chapter 184
“Go away before I report to the police.” She replied.
“If you really wanted me to go away, you would have blocked me already.” – another message came.

Felicity felt her heart s***ip a beat, a cold sweat breaking out on her skin. The text left her stunned. The mysterious texter was right. Why hasn’t she blocked them already? As her finger hovered over the block icon, she realised the answer. It was because she was curious.
Despite her fear and uncertainty, there was a part of her that wanted to know more.
She knew that blocking the stranger would be the sensible thing to do, the safe choice. But a part of her wanted to cling to doubt. She thought maybe in the end, her curiosity would provide a good reason for her to leave regardless of what her heart said.
If the stranger’s claims were true, if Noah wasn’t the man she thought he was, then perhaps this would be her escape from this charade of a marriage.
Another text came, dragging her from her thoughts – “And shut the blinds, Felicity. I can see you from over here.”
Instantly, Felicity sprang up and rushed to her open windows, yanking the blinds shut. Her heart rate increased as fear crept into her heart.
She was right. The texter was Kagen, her stalker. How long had he been watching her? Or was this just a prank to rattle her?
“I was joking,” – Another text came.
Felicity’s blood ran cold, her skin p****ng with fury as the text came through. “Go to hell!” She sent, her fingers trembling as she typed the words. She slammed her phone down.
This was going to be a long night, and she doubted if she was getting any sleep.
The morning light filtered through the windows, the silence of the house was deafening. Noah was still asleep on the couch when Felicity left. She had crept past him, careful not to disturb Noah’s sleep. She couldn’t bring herself to face him, not when Kagen’s words were still ringing in her ears.
Noah couldn’t be dangerous, could he? The life she lived with him couldn’t possibly be a lie.
She was allowing the b***rd, Kagen, to get to her, but she couldn’t help it. She knew it was only right to tell Noah about Kagen’s text but the temptation to investigate on her own was too strong to ignore. She just prayed the consequences wouldn’t be dire.
Getting to the office, only a few people were present. That was how early she had arrived, even Beatrice wasn’t there yet. With a sigh, Felicity decided to make her way to the nearest cafe, her stomach rumbling for food.
