Wicked Scheme Lost a problem Got a man novel Chapter 18

Chapter 18
The next morning. Felicity met with Lilian and they both went to the signing together.
Everything went well and she got to meet the male lead she would be filming with, Jonah King, a B-list actor.
Felicity found him likeable and easygoing.
Her biggest shock came when Georgia entered the room.
Although was not able to get the lead role, the directors thought she was perfect for the second female lead.
Georgia, who was disappointed that she had lost the lead role, started fuming when she saw that Felicity had snagged it instead.
Honestly, she had expected the directors to outright reject Felicity but the rumors. about her made the directors rethink their decision.
Tension filled the room as the two ladies sat next to one another. Everybody had seen the article, even though it had been taken down.
Many still didn’t believe that their beloved Georgia had done such a thing but the video from the party convinced them.
Hard-core fans of Georgia even started bashing Felicity online.
[Georgia and Caster look better together.]
[If I were Caster, I would choose Georgia too, Felicity is a clown.]
Things like that circulated the internet.
Felicity remained unperturbed. She had already accomplished her goal of breaking ties with Caster.
The directors anticipated drama, but to their surprise, the cousins remained calm. It appeared they had reconciled and put the past behind them.
Following the signing, the director delivered the news that filming had to commence without delay.
Chapter 18
Felicity didn’t have much to say to the actors since she wasn’t familiar with them. She only exchanged small talks with them before leaving. She had to move in with Noah today and was very preoccupied.
Georgia took this opportunity to butter up with the others and start spreading vicious. rumours about Felicity.
With a sheepish smile, Georgia offered a bow to the directors. “I apologize for my cousin’s behavior. She’s going through a tough time at the moment. This isn’t like her usual self.”
“It’s alright. We understand,” the director replied, attempting to maintain civility with Georgia. He was not bias and would not believe rumours about a member of his cast.
Georgia proceeded to apologize to each member of the cast, subtly planting seeds of doubt and discord in their minds. Given her standing as a popular figure in the industry, many believed her and sought to stay on her good side.
Especially now that they know that Georgia was with Caster Walker. Who was Felicity. anyway?
Meanwhile,
Felicity arrived at her apartment to see Noah’s assistant, lan, waiting for her outside. He flashed her a smile but she scowled at him.
“Your boss couldn’t wait?” Felicity crossed her arms, her tone skeptical.
“Yeah, he’s not the most patient man. One of his many flaws, Ian replied, rolling hist eyes. “He told me to pick you up.”
Felicity arched an eyebrow at Jan’s casual manner. “Do you always speak so freely about your boss? Aren’t you worried about your job?”
Ian shrugged. “What he doesn’t know won’t hurt him.”
Ignoring his dismissive remark, Felicity went upstairs to get her stuff. She couldn’t be bothered about the relationship between Noah and Ian.
Feeling the frustration of being forced to move for the second time that week, she was upset. It was utterly outrageous!
As Ian attempted to help with her bags, Felicity repeatedly swatted his hands away. She

knew her actions were unwarranted, but in her moment of anger, Ian became the perfect target for her pent-up frustration.
“Where are we going? She asked when lan turned on the ignition.
As they drove. Felicity glanced over at lan’s wide grin, visible through the driving.
rrors. She couldn’t help but feel a slight sense of unease at his constant cheerful demeanour. Yet, at the same time, she also envied him.
It was disconcerting yet admirable how he seemed to live each moment to the fullest, free from worry, unlike herself.
If Lan could hear her thoughts, he might have choked on his saliva at her misconception. If only she knew the shit he faced every day.
But alas, he couldn’t hear her thoughts, and instead answered, “Wryfield Estate.”
“W-Wryfield?” Felicity stuttered in disbelief. Letting out a loud scoff, she shook her head gently. “Of course, he would be staying at Wryfield. What was I expecting?”
Wryfield Estate was a place that very few people had the privilege of setting foot on. Even the former governor of the state hadn’t been granted access.
Rumours circulated that the cost of purchasing a house there could sustain five generations and still have spare change left over.
“How wealthy is my husband?” Felicity pondered with a devious smile.
Noticing her fascination, Ian smirked, “You haven’t seen anything yet.”
Noah was absent upon their arrival.
Felicity couldn’t help but notice the pristine condition of everything around her. The living room exuded an air of elegance and opulence, you could smell the wealth.
Standing on the balcony, she surveyed the surrounding area. The view revealed rows of equally lavish houses, most of them unoccupied, as Ian informed her. Few could afford such luxury.
It was a pity to see such beauty left bare.
After dropping her off and giving her a brief tour, lan left for work, leaving Felicity to her own devices,
Choosing one of the guest rooms, Felicity unpacked and arranged her belongings. She then indulged in a relaxing bath before heading downstairs to the kitchen to plan her
meal.
Thankfully, the kitchen was well-stocked with a variety of food. With a smile, Felicity retrieved some chicken and vegetables from the refrigerator, ready to prepare her
dinner.
“Chicken stir-fry it is,” Felicity murmured to herself as she began chopping vegetables. She sauteed the chicken strips with the vegetables in a pan, adding a dash of soy sauce, garlic, and ginger she found lying around. Once cooked, she served the fragrant mixture over a bed of rice.
Standing back to admire her creation, Felicity couldn’t help but feel satisfied. It was a simple dish she had learned previously, and still one of her favourites. Cooking had become a skill she grew to enjoy, particularly after her marriage to Caster.
That was probably the only good thing that came out of their marriage.
“What are you doing?” Felicity jolted at the sound of a voice behind her and whipped her head backward, glaring at Noah.
“You shouldn’t scare people like that!” she scolded him.
“I’m sorry. I called your name, but you were staring at the pot like a lost lover,” Noah apologised, noticing the pained expression on her face as he walked in. His brow furrowed in concern. “Did you hurt yourself? You don’t have to cook. We could have ordered something.”
Noah’s eyes quickly scanned her body for any signs of injury, and he relaxed when he found none.
Feeling embarrassed about being caught daydreaming,
Felicity decided to change the subject. “Let’s eat, she suggested, eager to move past the awkward moment.
