Chapter 178
When Patricia had watched the news of an accident on TV, she popped a wine to celebrate. She believed her master plan had worked and that Felicity had met her end.
She had instructed Georgia everything to do, from drugging Connor and Noah to cutting Felicity’s brakes. The plan was after Felicity found out about Noah’s infidelity, she wouldn’t he able to take it and drive off the estate, ultimately meeting her end.
But hours later when she was drunk, you can imagine her shock when the victim turned out to be Georgia. Her Georgia!
How?
The answer was simple, Georgia, her only child, became the victim of the very plan Patricia had set in motion. Felicity must have found out about their scheme, turned the tables, and killed Georgia.
With a furious cry, Patricia screamed, her hands tangling her hair and her eyes clouded with grief. “You were supposed to die not Georgia. Not my poor baby!”
Felicity with a hard gaze, stepped forward. “If you really loved Georgia, you wouldn’t have risked her life for for your twisted schemes, to live the life you wanted, ” she said, voice sharp. “You killed her, not me.”
Patricia paused as Felicity’s words sank in. Then she shook her head frantically as the truth hit her hard. She screeched, attacking Felicity again. “Liar! You did, you killed her. Die! Why can’t you just die?!”
Connor’s jaw clenched, his teeth grating together as he turned to the guards outside, his voice hard. “Get her out of here! Take her to the station. Make sure she rots there for the rest of her life.” He ordered, leaving no room for negotiation.
“You can’t do that to me! I’m your sister!” Patricia tried to cling to the thin shreds of family that remained.
Connor’s voice was heavy with regret. “I should have done that a long time ago. Maybe then Georgia would still be alive.” He said, bitterness dripping from his tone. He gestured for the guards to drag Patricia away before turning his back, too heartbroken to watch the scene.
Patricia kicked and screamed like a madwoman as she was dragged away. She kept murmuring curses at Felicity and screaming Georgia’s name, making everyone think she had gone mad.
Getting to the station, the cold, uncaring police threw her into the nastiest cell they had. Connor had gathered a substantial amounts of evidence that could keep her their for life.
Felicity was satisfied. While Georgia’s punishment was death, Patricia’s was to live with pain of losing a loved one for the rest of her life, just like she had inflicted on Felicity in the past. Payback was a bitch.
Devastated, Connor sat on a chair in the corridor as he couldn’t bear the sight of the Georgia’s body in the room. The guilt of her death plaqued his heart. Where had it all gone wrong? How could he be so blind to see what has been happening right under his nose and roof?
Georgia may not have been related to him by blood, but he raised her, took her to the best school alongside Felicity. He didn’t once discriminate against Patricia and her child. Why did they decide to hurt and pay him with evil?
“I’ll prepare her funeral. She will be buried a day after tomorrow” He said, eyes fixed on the door of Georgia’s ward and his shoulders slumped in grief.
“Aren’t you going to ask me about Patricia’s accusation?” Felicity asked, turning to face her dad. Her voice was steady as she confessed. “Georgia was indeed driving my car.”
Connor shut his eyes, taking a deep breath. When he opened them, his gaze was sharp and his eyes narrowed. “Did you do it?” Connor finally asked the question burning in his mind. “Did you kill Georgia?”

Felicity sighed. “She cut the brakes of my car. I told her to drive it, and she did. If that counts as killing, then I killed her. And I would do it again.”
Connor’s body sagged, his eyes dropping to the floor. Though he had found out Georgia’s true colours, it didn’t change the fact that she was like a daughter to him. Her death still hit him hard.
“Was she really that bad?” Connor whispered.
Felicity’s answer was blunt. “She was terrible.”
“I’m sorry, I failed you both.” Connor murmured.
Felicity shook her head. “No, you didn’t. You have her a chance and she wasted it,” she sighed, kicking herself from the wall. “I’ll be in time for the funeral. Take care of yourself, dad.”
She didn’t wait for him to reply before sauntering out of the hospital. The place was suffocating. The smell of antiseptic and bleach, the sterile walls, the memories that lingered within—it was all too much fro Felicity, and she needed some fresh air. Stepping outside, she breathed a sigh of relief that she came back out safe and sound, not teleporting to her former time. She was about to hail a cab when a truck across the street caught her interest. Felicity let out a laugh of disbelief before crossing over to it.
“One beef burger, please.” Felicity told the man in the truck, softly, unable to stop the smile that crept into her face.
The man inside did not look much different from the night she died, only a bit younger. Felicity gave him a kind smile. He was the only one who had showed her genuine kindness on the night of her death, and she would never forget that.
The man handed her the burger and smiled, “It’s on the house.”
Felicity arched a brow, taking the burger from him. “Do you give out all your burgers for free?”
“What?” The man asked, spotting a confused look.
“I’ll pay for it.” Felicity brought out some change from her pocket.
“Actually, someone already paid for you. A man, he left when he saw you coming.” He nudged at a particular direction.
Surprised, Felicity whipped around trying to get a glimpse of the stranger but everyone looked the same and different at the same time. She immediately thought it was Noah. “Does he have black hair and green eyes?”
The man shook his head. “Blonde hair and blue eyes. He was breathtakingly beautiful.”
Perplexed, Felicity took the burger, bid him farewell and left to hail a cab. The only person she knew with those features was Caster but she didn’t think Caster was handsome enough to be called breathtakingly beautiful. It was a stretch.
Taking one last look at the truck, she found the man watching her and he waved when their eyes locked. She smiled and waved back before entering her cab, taking a bite from the warm burger. It tasted the same like before. Absolutely delicious.
It was late in the afternoon when she arrived at the estate.
“I thought you would still be at work.” Felicity said when she saw Noah at home.
“I told you I’ll be here when you returned. I was preparing to go on a ramaoge looking for you.” He kissed her on the cheek, pulling her on his lap. “How was it?”
She shrugged, “Patricia got arrested so I don’t have to worry about her anymore.”
“Good. Are you hungry?”

“No, I had a burger,” Felicity replied before sitting up right on his lap. “The man in the food truck said a man paid for me. Blond hair and blue eyes. It was weird.”
“Blond hair and blue eyes?” Noah perked up, his voice having a slight edge on it.

“Breathtakingly beautiful. That’s how he was described. I thought it was Caster, but Caster is mediocre at best. I wonder who
it is.”
Noah cleared his throat. “Who puts a food truck outside an hospital?” He asked out loud with a serious expression. “What’s the name of this food truck?”
“Well…” Felicity gazed into space as she tried to remember the name of the truck. She clapped her hands when she remembered. “Angel’s touch.”
Noah’s gaze hardened. He planted a kiss on Felicity’s hair before saying, “Why don’t you go upstairs and get changed. You smell of hospital.”
With a grimace, Felicity nodded and made her way upstairs to change.
Immediately she left, Noah brought out his phone and called Axel. “Front of Everdew hospital, there was a food truck parked outside, Angel’s touch. Find it and get me the owner. K is following Felicity and it seems he really has blond hair and blue eyes after all.”
