Wicked Scheme Lost a problem Got a man novel Chapter 177

Chapter 177
Everdew hospital. That was were Georgia was admitted.
Felicity’s world seemed to slow down, everything fading in the background. All she could see was the looming presence of the hospital before her, a symbol of her life and death.
She stared at it, transfixed, the irony of the situation washing over her. Standing before her was the same hospital she had taken her last breath, where she had desperately prayed for a second chance while clinging for life. She would never forget it. It was the same place.
The memories flooded back, each one more vivid than the other. The cold, dreary night when she stumbled into the hospital, a bloodied knife protruding from her stomach, her coat stained with grime as she clutched a single warm burger.
This hospital was where she met her end and also where she was given a second chance at life. How ironic Georgia was meeting her end here too? God forbid God gave her a second chance.
“Felicity, are you alright?” Noah’s concerned voice broke her from her riverie, dragging her way from the dark memories.
Felicity’s gaze snapped to him. She blinked, going suddenly pale. “What if I go in there,” she pointed at hospital and whispered, and don’t come back out?”
She didn’t know the phenomenon that brought her back in time, but what if the hospital served as a gateway ok something? What if, by entering the hospital, she was transported to the cold, dark night, the taste of blood in her mouth, the knife still lodged in her stomach?
“I’ll come find you.” Noah replied with all honesty, not knowing why she sounded solemn all of a sudden.
“But what if you don’t find me and I disappear into thin air?” Felicity asked, swallowing the fear about to slip through her voice.
Noah’s brow arched mischievously, a ghost of a smile playing on his lips. “Is this you confessing you are about to run away?” His voice was light as he tried to ease the tension he could sense from her.
But his smile vanished as quickly as it had appeared, his expression turning serious as he leaned closer to her. “Don’t underestimate me, Felicity. I WILL find you wherever you disappear to. If you go to heaven, I’ll become a god. If you end up in hell, I’ll be the devil.”
Shudders travelled down Felicity’s body at the intensity behind his words. “And if I disappear to another timeline?”
The corners of Noah’s lips quirked into a mischievous grin. “I’ll find you and marry you there.” he replied, his words, promise.
The intensity of Noah’s gaze made Felicity want to straddle him and kiss him, right there in the parking lot. Why did he have to say things like that?
Felicity laughed, dismissing the heat that was creeping up her body. “That’s strange, considering I’m a random woman you bumped into at an hotel and decided to marry.”
“We are bound by a contract. Wherever you go, I go. You can’t escape me that easily,” Noah replied, “You’re stuck with me no matter which timeline. By the way, I can’t let you go now. You’ve started to grow on me.”
Felicity’s lips curved into a genuine smile. His words were comforting in a strange way. It made her forget all about her fear. His green magnetic eyes were staring at her with so much passion that she squirmed in her seat under it. She wondered what it might mean.
Jumping out of the car, she slammed the door shut behind her. “I’ll be going now. You should leave before anyone sees you

Undeterred, Noah wound down the window and called behind her. “I’ll be waiting for you when you get home. If you don’t come, I’m tearing this city apart.”
Felicity flinched before waving him off. “Go before people see you.”
“Tell me you’ll come back and I’ll leave.” He said, looking serious. He didn’t know the reason for her sudden fear, but he needed to be assured she would be alright.
Felicity breathed a exhale and smiled. “I will… now go.”
Noah honked his car before driving off while Felicity stood outside.
With a sigh, Felicity whipped around, bracing herself as she gazed at the hospital. Unlike she thought, they weren’t many reporters around. That was how unimportant Georgia was at the moment. Felicity was right. No one would indeed miss her.
Putting on her shades, Felicity marched into the hospital without a second thought. She tried as much as possible to block the horrible memories that flooded into her mind.
Overwhelmed by a sense of familiarity immediately she stepped into the hospital, she recognized everything The lights, floors, the chair where she had sat as life drained from her. It was all a reminder that the horrors of her past life were real, and not her imagination. The pain, sorrow, and fear had all happened.
She had really died.
“Get it together.” Felicity scolded herself and stilled her trembling hands as she reminded herself that she would get out of there in one piece. She refused to break down. Walking to the reception, she asked, “Which room is Georgia Orion?”
The nurse, instantly recognizing Felicity, eyes flashed with excitement but it quickly dwindled down when she realised why Felicity was there.
“Room 205,” She replied, her face clouded with sympathy. “I’m sorry for your loss. We just received news that your cousin passed away a few minutes ago.”
Felicity froze in her place for a second but she recovered quickly. “Thanks.” She answered before finding her way to the
room.
As she approached, she noticed the bodyguards in front of the room which meant that her father was already there. Following that were the loud screams of Patricia.
“Don’t you dare touch her. My child isn’t dead. She isn’t gone!” Patricia’s voice was wild, her words edged with desperation.
Felicity stepped into the room and was surprised by the woman she saw. Patricia was now a shadow of her former self. Her hair was a tangled mess, her face pale and dirty, and her eyes were haunted with grief. She had also lost a lot of weight.
“Can you give her a moment?” Connor told the doctor, and he nodded and left the room, passing by Felicity by the door.
Patricia’s crazed eyes landed on Felicity at the door and she lunged at her. “You murderer! You killed her! You killed Georgia! How dare show
you
your rotten face before me?!”
Felicity swiftly dodged Patricia’s attack, and moved behind her father. She had an injured hand and would be unable to defend herself in a one on one confrontation with Patricia.
“Aunty, what are you saying? How could I possibly have hurt Georgia? She committed suicide.” Felicity said behind her dad.
Patricia moved to attack Felicity again but Connor blocked her. I let you come and see Georgia out of pity. Don’t let me regret it and kick you out.” He said.
“Kick me out. Go on! Well guess what? You are protecting a murderer. This was Felicity’s doing. Look at my daughter!” Patricia pointed at the bed.

For the first time, Felicity turned to gaze at Georgia’s lifeless body on the bed. Half of her face was wrapped in bandage along with half of her body. Some pedestrians had taken pictures of her immediately after the accident, it was a revolting sight.
“Why would you blame Felicity for it?” Connor asked, his voice tinged with anger.
Patricia yelled, “Because Georgia was driving her car! It was supposed to be Felicity but my child ended up dying. Georgia was supposed to be an Elsworth by now, but Felicity had her killed.”
Both Connor and Felicity paused at her statement. While Connor had a mixture of disbelief and shock on his face, Felicity gazed at Patricia in disdain like she was looking at a fool. She didn’t expect Patricia to make things easier for her and confess by herself.
“The car Georgia drove was burnt beyond recognition. How do you know it was Felicity’s?” Connor snarled, taking small threatening steps towards Patricia. “And what do you mean it was Felicity that was suppose to have an accident?”
“Because I orchestrated that plan myself!” Patricia exclaimed, heaving heavilg as she glared at Connor and Felicity with hate.
