Wicked Scheme Lost a problem Got a man novel Chapter 165

Chapter 165
Noah was sick of people trying to make him confess the truth to Felicity. First Connor and now lan
He was convinced the only reason Felicity was willing to be under the same roof with him was because she didn’t know the monster he was yet. Once she did, she would run the other way without looking back, and Noah didn’t want that.
If keeping his life a secret was what would make her stay, he would try to hide that secret for as long as he could.
Ian cleared his throat. “Don’t say I didn’t warn you.” He muttered, dropping the subject. Riling Noah up wasn’t something he could afford currently. “You have a meeting in five minutes.”.
Ian turned, walked towards the door, and paused. He said over his shoulder, “By the way, Axel decided to spare Mike. He is part of our team now,” he left before Noah could reply.
Finally alone, Noah’s shoulders slumped. He unclenched his jaw and freed the pen he was clutching tightly in his hand. He may have overreacted a bit with lan but he was sure lan would come around soon.
Noah didn’t have any objections to Axel recruiting Mike. He trusted Axel’s judgment
Sighing, he fixed his tie before standing up and leaving the room.
After a few minutes Noah left, the shelf clicked open and Felicity came out spotting a dark look on her face.
Yes, she wasn’t actually asleep, merely pretending to be. The drug’s effect on her was not as strong as she exaggerated it to be
She had done this simply to acquire information she wanted from Noah and his conversation with lan just now confirmed that they were indeed hiding something from her, she just needed to figure out what it was
Hideouts? Scouts? What exactly were they talking about? It all sounded like a game to Felicity. And what was so important that Noah needed to tell her? Everything only piqued her curiosity more.
Georgia got dressed to leave the mansion.
Two days ago, she moved back to the mansion for the next phase of her plan to move smoothly. Connor never actively kicked her out, only avoided her, so she could come and go anytime she wanted.
This particular afternoon, she started feeling nauseous after staying indoors all day. Since her pregnancy was a secret, she didn’t want the maids- Felicity’s spies to catch her throwing up and start asking questions. This baby was the most integral part of their plan and thus, must be protected at all cost
Georgia was about to leave the mansion when Connor’s voice stopped her at the door.
“Georgia, we need to talk” Georgia froze, her hands still on the doorknob. Connor had avoided her for weeks, why was he suddenly interested in talking?
She slowly retracted her hand from the knob before turning to see him casually drinking wine in the dining area
Yes, Uncle?” She asked.
“Sit, let’s talk, Connor gestured at the chair in front of him.
Hesitantly, Georgia approached the chair and cautiously sat opposite him, swallowing nervously in the process.
“Wine?” Commor asked, picking up the bottle.

Georgia laughed nervously before dismissing him. “No, thank you. She shifted in her seat, under his gaze. There was something off about how he was staring at her today and it left her unnerved.
Connor nodded, placing the bottle back down on the table with a loud clatter, causing Georgia to flinch at the sound. If she wasn’t sure something was wrong before, she was definitely sure now.
After a few moments of uncomfortable silence, Georgia asked, “Uncle, is there something you need? I have somewhere to be right now.”
“Where? Off to see your mother?” Connor inquired and Georgia flinched at his hard tone. How did he know she was seeing Patricia? She had been so careful. “Don’t look so surprised. You disappeared for a month. Where else could you
have gone?
Georgia gulped. “U-Uncle, I’m s-sorry for disobeying your orders, but isn’t forbidding me from seeing my mom a little to harsh? One cannot possibly keep a child and a mother apart.” She said, her eyes glistening with tears as she used the oldest trick in the book. Guilt-trip.
If there was one thing Georgia was good at, it was melting people’s hearts with her pitiful and weak demeanour. It was also the reason many men flocked to her back in the day. Too bad those days are gone now.
Disdain flashed through Connor’s eyes at her facade. “I’m merely repaying the favour. Isn’t that what you and your mother did all these years, try to keep Felicity and me apart?”
“Uncle, what are you talking about?” Georgia appeared hurt by the allegation. “Did Felicity tell you that? Trust me, she’s
delusional.”
Before Georgia could finish her sentence, Connor slammed his hands on the table in anger. “Don’t you speak another ill word about my child. Keep her name out of your filthy mouth!” He exclaimed, his stare sending shudders down Georgia’s
spine.
He continued, “I had a really interesting conversation with someone yesterday about all the terrible things you and your mother did to my daughter. Manipulating her, soiling her name, drugging her, and even trying to get her.. raped,”
At the mention of rape and drugs, Georgia’s eyes widened a fraction. Nobody knew about the drugging and attempted rape, of Felicity except her and Caster. Did Caster finally turn on her and tell Connor everything? She wouldn’t put it past him
The moment I prove this to be true. Rest assured, you and your mother are spending the rest of your miserable lives rotting behind bars like the rats you are.” Connor’s voice carried so much venom that Georgia fell on her knees.
Fear was an understatement of what she was feeling. If all the bad things she had done were dug up and exposed to the world, not even an angel would want to save her.
“Uncle, I don’t know what you’ve heard but none of it is true. Manipulate or get her raped? That’s scandalous!” Georgia reached for his legs, eyes wide as tears streamed from them. “You raised me yourself. Uncle. Do you really think I can hurt my own cousin and bite the hands that fed me?”
Kicking her hand away. Connor stood up. “That’s what I thought too.” He said before leaving the room.
Alone, Georgia scrambled to her feet, her legs wobbled as she did. Her body shook slightly, reeling from the shock she just endured. This was it. The last straw,
The moment Connor uncovered the truth, it would be over for her. Whatever they had planned needed to be executed
soonest. It was now or never.
With trembling hands, she reached for her phone as she left the mansion. She couldn’t bear another minute in that place. Getting into her car, she dialled Patricia
“Morn, whatever y you have to do, do it now. We need to secure my future immediately or Uncle would have me killed.” She said immediately Patricia answered the phone.
