Wicked Scheme Lost a problem Got a man novel Chapter 163

Chapter 163
A loud yawn escaped Felicity, interrupting Noah and lan’s intense discussion. Noah checked his watch to see it was past noon. He proceeded to reach for his bag, bringing out a flask and some medicine..
“You should eat and take your medication before sleeping,” Noah told her, leading her back to the couch where he opened the flask revealing butter chicken pasta.
The smell of the food watted through the room, making both Felicity and fan salivate. Felicity looked at the flask in awe while lan gazed at the display in shock. Did Noah seriously pack lunch in his work bag?
“When did you prepare this?” Felicity asked gazing at the contents of the flask with a hungry look. The aroma was simply lovely.
“I cooked while you were getting ready. It’s nothing.” Noah replied, bringing out a fork, ready to feed her.
“Y-You cook?” lan gazed starstruck at Noah, his eyes wide in disbelief. He had never seen Noah boil water in his life, talkless of cooking. He doubted the man knew his way to the kitchen.
But now, what was this he was hearing? His best friend actually knew how to cook? Unbelievable.
“You didn’t know? He’s very good at it. Felicity smiled, stroking Noah’s hair while he leaned into her touch. She nudged Noah gently, “You should make something for lan too sometime
Noah laughed before throwing Tan a look that said ‘in your wildest dreams.
Ian chuckled nervously, rubbing his head. He said to Felicity, “I’m fine. It’s just unlike him to cook or pack meals. His mom once packed food for him to work and he got angry because she put it in his work bag. He averted his gaze to Noah and continued, “As for cooking? Rebecca wanted to teach us how to cook once but Noah threw a tantrum. He said heirs didn’t need to learn such menial tasks, that was what the maids were for
Aslan finished talking the smile on Felicity’s face dropped and her hand formally patting Noah’s hair dropped from his head. The look she spotted on her face was akin to extreme disippointment and a tinge of disgust.
“Why am I not surprised, you pompous ingrate” She hissed, giving Noah the stink eye. “You think you are all that, ugh, Mr. Elsworth. Good to know your arrogance has been with you since birth”
Noah opened his mouth to explain but closed it when he failed to form any words. Staring at Felicity’s disgusted gaze, he cursed lan a thousand times in his mind. That b***rd just couldn’t keep his mouth shut, could he?
“Yeah, I know right? Poor Rebecca suffered countless headaches because of him” lan added, shaking his head in disappointment as he inspected his neat manicured nails.
Stomping her feet, Felicity got up from her seat, pointing her finger at Noah. “How could you disrespect your mother like that? Not everyone is lucky to have someone who packs lunch for them but yours did and you dared to get mad? Why? Because of some ***d papers…
As Noah got scolded, a triumphant grin sprouted on lan’s face. He gave Noal a look that said “This is for all the times you abandoned your work on me, a***ole. before sauntering out of the office.
He knew if he didn’t leave, Noah would probably turn the tables on him. He would rather face the consequences of his actions later after he had fully relished the feeling of victory.
After lan shot the door behind him. Noah grabbed Felicity’s hand and brought it to his lips for a kiss, making her pause her angry rant for a bit. Noah took that opportunity to try and get himself out of the situation.
“It’s not like that,” He started, trying to cook up a reasonable explanation. “Well, it’s

Chapter 163
“Did you do those things or pot?” Felicity interrupted him, taking her hand from his. She gave him a pointed look as she
waited for an answer.
Noah sighed. “Yes, I admit I was a real brat growing up and even now, and I’m sorry-
Why are you apologising to me? I wasn’t the one you yelled at for packing lunch for you.” Felicity countered. She didn’t know exactly why she was so angry at him but she was.
Maybe because he got the motherly care and love she had yearned for growing up and he took it for granted. Or maybe it was because she dreamt of doing menial things like cooking with her mom but never
ot a chance to. Either way, she WON
livid.
Seeing the hurt in Felicity’s eyes, Noah grew confused since he didn’t know why she was so affected by it. But when he realised, he didn’t ask questions and quietly drew her to his lap, patting her back in soft strokes.
“I’m sorry, I’m sorry, Noah murmured in her hair, “I should have been a better son, I shouldn’t have shoved my mom aside like that. Thank you for making me realise how ungrateful I have been.”
“You should apologise to her,” Felicity told him
“I will” He replied.
Felicity hastily wiped the tears that escaped her eyes. She was embarrassed by how emotional she got. She lifted her head before adjusting herself on his lap. She tilted her head to the flask, saying, “Feed me, I’m starving.”
Noah nodded, scooping some pasta in his fork before feeding her. He had been feeding her ever since they got back from the hospital. Felicity insisted that she couldn’t eat comfortably with one hand. Maybe she just enjoyed being fed and wanted
him to.
Either way, Noah enjoyed showering her with attention so he jumped at the opportunity without complaint.
The scene in the office looked like one from a movie. Everything was perfect; the sunlight streaming from the window cast a glow on their faces, and the wind did its job perfectly, gently swaying the hair of the couple making the scene more romantic. The only thing missing was slow love music.
