Wicked Scheme Lost a problem Got a man novel Chapter 162

Chapter 162
It took
4 hours before he could get all the necessary information from Mike.
Axel volunteered to drive Mike to Felix’s grave while Noah decided to go home since it was already late in the night and Felicity’s nurse would be leaving soon.
This time he was careful not to get blood on his shirt like he did the last time during interrogation to avoid suspicion from Felicity
In years, this was the first time Noah was obtaining relevant information about K and he was elated. They all were.
They had hit the jackpot.
Now having information to start tracking K, the hunt could finally begin. A small smirk tugged on Noah’s lips as he entered his car. Very soon, he would be able to catch K. He could feel it.
As Noah drove from the warehouse, he was so distracted by the new information that he did not see the black car parked at the corner of the road, or the pair of eyes staring at him with a hint of horror and fascination from the driver’s seat
Nor did he notice when the car started and slid into the stream of traffic behind him, keeping a discreet distance, all the way
to the estate.
When Noah arrived home, Felicity was still asleep from the medication. He dismissed the young nurse and changed into something comfortable for bed. As Noah slipped into bed, he gently inhaled Felicity’s scent, a reassuring warmth radiating from her body. For the moment, he could shut out the rest of the world, the drama and danger and drift into a deep and dreamless sleep.
The next day, Noah woke pretty early to start the day. When Felicity woke up later that day, she asked, “This is so boring. Why don’t we do something interesting?”
“This is interesting” Came Noah’s response as he casually fed Felicity spoonfuls of rice.
Noah’s phone rang for the umpteenth time that morning. He turned it over without a second thought, making Felicity
curious.
“Is that from the company?” Felicity asked, realising that Noah had almost been absent from work for almost a week now,
“It’s just lan.” Noah answered, dismissively.
Felicity saw this as an opportunity and quickly jumped at it. “You don’t have to miss important work because of me. You can go to the company.”
“No,” Noah replied, shoving another spoon of rice in her mouth. Do you want me to leave that badly?”
“It’s not that. Fm really bored at home and would love to visit your office to kill time, Felicity explained with a smirk. “You can attend to your business while I lounge around and kill time
Noah frowned. “Felicity, you haven’t even been at home for close to three days. Why are you so desperate to get out?*
Noah didn’t want to make it obvious but he was a little scared to let her out of the safety of the house. She was too vulnerable.
Felicity’s smirk dropped slightly. “It might not be up to three days yet but I’m done. Noah, I need some fresh air and a change of environment. If I don’t leave this house soon, I might go mad.”
Noah sighed, listening to her plea. He gazed at her deeply before finally relenting. “Fine. I’ll get dressed.” He said, approaching the closet for a change of clothes

In joy, Felicity wanted to throw her hands up in celebration, forgetting her injury. It wasn’t until a sharp pain shot through her arm did she remember and try to contain her joy.
A few minutes later, Noah was driving Felicity to his company and the latter had a wide smile on her face as she finally left the estate. She drank in the sight of the busy streets with glee before getting to the company.
The two took the private elevator up and were welcomed by lan’s smiling face, waiting to welcome them.
“Sister-in-law, I am surprised to see you here,” Ian said, immediately the elevator dinged open, revealing Ian waiting on the
other side.
Though he claimed to be surprised, he didn’t look shocked. Noah had probably informed him of her coming
“I’m here too, lan. Don’t I get a hello?” Noah said, his voice dripping with sarcasm. He circled his arm around Felicity’s waist before leading her to his office, brushing past lan who called out behind them.
“Oh, don’t be like that Noah baby. How are you doing too?” lan asked playfully but Noah ignored him while Felicity giggled at their exchange,
It was the second time Felicity was at Noah’s office. She took a seat on the dark couch in the large room, her eyes skimming the place. It looked exactly like before. Nothing had changed.
“Are you comfortable?” Noah asked her, his brows kneading in worry.
“Stop fussing. I’m perfectly fine, Felicity gave him a reassuring look. “You should start sifting through paperwork whatever you have to do.” She told him, suddenly missing her time spent in her company too.
She missed being busy instead of sleeping on the bed all day. It wasn’t easy for a busy woman like her to adjust to such a lifestyle abruptly.
Noah gave her one last glance before nodding. He took a seat on his chair and Jim and lan delved into business discussions about the company.
At first, Felicity ignored them and browsed through her phone to kill time but her curiosity soon got the better of her. It didn’t take her long to stroll towards them and listen to whatever they were discussing
Her grin grew wider when Noah actually asked for her opinion and advice regarding some certain matters. Her eyes sparkled as she gave her best to them
And of course, she also listened in on some of their strategies which might steal later for the Orion group. She wasn’t going to sit and listen to the most successful man in the country speak and not gain anything. This part of Noah was one she didn’t see every day.
After talking about bus
iness for almost five hours, Felicity soon grew tired and became sleepy
