Wicked Scheme Lost a problem Got a man novel Chapter 141

Chapter 141
“Your dad is out of danger now. You can go see him.” The doctor informed Caster before leaving.
Caster rubbed his eyes which had eye bags underneath after staying up all night, before picking up his jacket and going to
his father’s room.
While going, he passed Delilah’s room which was right next to Charles. She was sleeping peacefully, though her injuries weren’t as serious as Charles, she was still bedridden.
Caster entered Charles’ room and the sight in front of him left him disturbed. Charles was lying unmoving on the bed, the permanent scowl on his face had disappeared. He looked so weak and fragile, unlinked to the real Charles. The stark difference left him speechless.
Caster walked closer until he was hovering over Charles on the bed, examining his face closely.
“We look alike.” Caster murmured, pointing out their resemblance.
This was the man Caster had admired so much while growing up, the man he worked so hard to get his approval, but nothing he did was ever enough for Charles. This was the man who turned him into the monster he was today.
Caster scoffed, sitting down next to the bed. “Who is the weak one now?” He asked no one in particular as he gazed at the bed. “Who would imagine a simple accident would render you this useless?”
Caster laughed again, his voice ringing in the empty room, a stark reminder that he had no one to support him in these hard’ times. Not even Georgia had showed up after he called. It seemed she had abandoned him too.
The company was blowing up his phone with calls but Caster had ignored them all. He didn’t care anymore. Why would he when the person he had done everything for wasn’t there to watch, lying in the hospital?
The company hadn’t had any profit in months because of Felicity and only managed to bounce back after the merger with Mario. But this incident had managed to wreck their nights of efforts as everyone was pulling out regardless.
Felicity… he didn’t expect her to be the cause of his down for? She really held grudges, didn’t she? He wondered if she would have done worse if she knew everything they had planned for her? If only she didn’t escape that night, would things have gone differently for him?
“F***k it all.” He muttered to himself before going to see Delilah in her room.
Delilah was awake and glared at him as he entered.
“What do you want? Don’t add to my pain by making me see your face.” Normally Caster would have left after she said that but this time he stayed.
“Is that how to speak to your son?” He questioned taking a seat next to her. “You’re hurting my feelings.”
Delilah forced out a scoff despite the pain it caused her. “Today I almost died from blood loss. You couldn’t help me with blood. I had to wait for a stranger to donate blood for me. You’re useless.”
“I could have called Vivian.”
“You want my baby girl to come back here after her honour was stripped away from her right under your nose,” Delilah spat. “You took everything else for me and couldn’t watch after the only one I had left. You destroyed my family.”
“Go to sleep, Delilah.” Caster said, standing up, cold sweat started to form on his back.
“You murderer! Child snatcher!” Delilah continued to throw insults at him. “I hope you die a painful death just like you did to my baby!”

Chapter 141
Caster stopped in his tracks, grabbing his head as a fierce pang travelled in his head. As voices sounded in his head, he groaned before stumbling out of the room, leaving behind an agitated Deborah.
Using the wall as support, Caster stumbled into the hallway and collapsed on a chair, heaving heavily as he recalled a memory he had buried deep in his mind. There was blood, so much blood.
“I just wanted dad to love me” Caster murmured, burying his hand in his face and folded himself on the chair like a kid hiding from a monster.
Tears flowed from his eyes as he fought his past demons away, hally, he was able to calm himself down but still remained folded on the chair, afraid to move.
