“Uncle, I have to get going. I have an interview tomorrow to prepare for Georgia announced, standing up
“But it’s raining heavily omside,” Connor’s brow kneaded in concern. “You just watcherl the news. It isn’t safe.
Georgia swallowed, glancing at Felicity who returned her gaze innocently. Felicity couldn’t have planned an accident for her too, right?
“I’ll be fine. I’ll order a cab.” Georgia insisted, desperate to put some distance between her and the she-devil, Felicity.
Before Connor could stop her, she hastily entered the pouring rain before stopping a cab.
That child never listens.” Connor complained.
“She’ll be fine.” “her time hasn’t come yet. Felicity added in her heart before focusing on her dad. “Do you want cake?”
“Yes, strawberry cake.” Connor was immediately distracted by the thought of food and the father and daughter enjoyed a good time for the rest of the evening as they waited for the rain to stop.
Georgia on the other hand didn’t go to the mansion like she had said. Instead, she directed the driver to another part of town to see her mother.
Georgia had taken Patricia from the previous sketchy neighbourhood, into a better one. Though this one wasn’t particularly opulent, it was neat and clean.
“Mom, did you see the news?” Georgia asked, immediately Patricia opened the door to let her in.
Patricia looked at her slightly damp body and frowned. “You shouldn’t look this untidy. What if someone sees you like this?”
“I’m trying to tell you something important and you’re bothered about how I look?” Georgia asked in disbelief.
“You’re a public figure. How you look matters,” Patricia answered bluntly. “By the way, why is it so important that you need to tell me? You went to rub it in my face after spending the day with your uncle and cousin eating in luxury.”
Georgia scoffed. “How do you know about that?”
“It was all over the internet. You are supposed to be planning on hurting Felicity, not go shopping with her.” Patricia said, slightly annoyed.
When she saw the pictures online, she almost choked in rage. That was supposed to be her life but instead she is here in a mediocre apartment, hiding her face from the public like a beggar.
“Charles and Deborah Walker got into an accident and Felicity is responsible.” Georgia blurted out.
Patricia paused, glanced at Georgia, then shook her head. “Felicity couldn’t have done that. It was an accident.”

Chapter 139
“She did.” Georgia insid, knowing in her gut that Felicity was responsible.
“How do you know that? She was with you all day” Patricia pointed out, causing Georgia to part her lips in shock as
valieation dawned on her

“This was the reason she wanted to hang out out of the blue. She knew the Walkers would get into an accident and we would be the first suspect, so she purposely sampled us in front of the camera all day to divert suspicion from us.” Georgia grabbed her head as she processed all the information.
Felicity’s go was never her from the beginning like she had thought. She was only a pawn. She was used!
Refusing to believe Georgia’s accusation. Patricia said, “I admit that Felicity had grown smarter lately, but she couldn’t be smart to pull this off seamlessly. Even the police have ruled it is a road hazard. There was no foul play. It was the Walker’s
time.”
“I don’t know how she did it but she did” Georgia persisted. She bright out her phone to call Caster but once again he ignored her calls.
Georgia didn’t know which hospital they were admitted to so she couldn’t report her suspicion to Caster.
“What are you doing?” Patricia snatched her phone, looking at the caller ID. “Are you insane? You want to report your ridiculous theory to him? If he believes you and decides to retaliate, do you think Felicity is the only one they would come after? They will fine after you too.”
“Caster loves me. He won’t hurt us but he can destroy Felicity once and for all.”
Patricia sneered at her foolish child. “Stop your stupidity, Georgia. When will you open your eyes to see that you’re just being used? That man doesn’t love you and would hurt you the slightest chance he got especially if his family is involved.”
“By the way, didn’t you see the news? Walker Corporation is already in peril. At this rate, they would go under soon. You should find someone else to cling on to and leave this hopeless man alone.” Patricia spat. “How can someone like that possibly destroy Felicity? She is more powerful than him at this point. Caster. is. a. sinking. ship!”
Georgia shook her head, refusing to believe her mother’s words, making Patricia snicker.
“If you really believe in him that much, why are you trying to pay off a judge for the best actress award?”
This was a blow to Georgia, making her clench her fists tightly. As much as she hated to admit it, her faith in Caster wasn’t as reliable as it was before. Could her mom be right? Is it really worthless to hang on to Caster?
Just as she was thinking, her phone rang. She looked down to see Caster calling before glancing back at her mother. Patricia stared down at her, daring her to make a choice.
Georgia bit down on her lips before ending the call.
“Good.” Patricia nodded in satisfaction.

Georgia gazed down at her phone a little bit worried but she had made up her mind. She should look for bigger fish who could support her.
Caster hadn’t supported her for a long time and only ordered her around, treating her like dirt underneath his feet. Her mom was right, after winning the best actress award, she should seduce Felicity’s sponsor and also live in a place like Wryfield estate. Caster couldn’t give her that.
It was officially over.
