Chapter 138
Wednesday morning was very busy, and despite the fact that the sun was high in the sky, everyone was walking with an umbrella. That was because the weather forecast predicted a heavy rain later in the day.
Felicity, Connor, and Georgia arrived at Lyon Mall in a high-end jeep, surprising everyone.
Connor stood between the two girls as he led them into the building, trailed by two bodyguards.
When the two actresses appeared together, young girls screamed.

“Oh, my God, Felicity, can I get your autograph?”
“It would be an honour to take a picture with you.”
“Felicity, you are an inspiration to many of my classmates. I want to be an actress and CEO like you.”
Fangirls surrounded Felicity and she responded to each of them politely with a dazzling smile.
On the other hand, Georgia’s crowd was nothing compared to Felicity’s, prompting her to cast snide glances while attending to another small group of girls to the side.
They were trapped in the entrance for almost half an hour signing autographs and taking pictures before security managed to disperse the crowd and they were able to leave.
Connor proudly walked between them. “Who else can boast that their daughters are so successful? You are both my pride
and joy.”
“It’s only possible because you supported us, Dad,” Felicity replied before pointing towards a shop selling expensive dresses. “Let’s go there. There is a limited dress I need to get.”
She dragged Connor and Georgia towards the shop, but Connor’s attention was diverted when he smelled pastries a short distance away. He immediately changed his mind.
“Why don’t you girls go shopping while this old man rests a little?” He said, trying to shoo them away.
But I came here to hang out with you.
Connor did not give them another glance as he waved them off. Have fun!” He yelled before disappearing into the crowd, as one of the guards pursued him.
Felicity mustered a smile at Georgia before approaching the shop that caught her interest.
“So, what stunt are you trying to pull now by doing this?” Georgia said as they walked.
“I don’t know what you’re talking about. Spending time with my family isn’t a stunt.” Felicity retorted.
“But you don’t care about family, you said so yourself. Tell me, are you trying to frame and kick me out now?” Georgia snickered, her tone tinged with fear.
“I don’t need to do that. You are bound to make a mistake one of these days.” Felicity walked into the store, and they were immediately surrounded by expensive dresses and accessories. She walked around until a diamond bag caught her
attention.
She reached out to grab it just as an attendant came to help her, ignoring Georgia. Felicity was now a well-known figure in both the entertainment and business industry, and was not to be trifled with.
Remembering how she was always shunned while everyone adored her cousin, Felicity smiled to herself. The tables had

turned.
She selected a few more items and paid for everything. She did not wait for Georgia to finish before leaving to look for another shop.
Georgia quickly rounded up after picking out a dress she liked before racing after her.

“Does your father know you live with a man you are not married to at Wryfield estate?” Georgia attempted to mock Felicity, assuming she was sleeping with her sponsor to stay with him.
“He does,” Felicity shrugged, dropping a bomb on Georgia. “Who do you think bought him those expensive paintings?”
Georgia’s eyes widened as she remembered the five expensive artworks that had been delivered to the mansion. She had assumed Connor had bought them, but Felicity was now claiming otherwise.
“Your dad agreed to this?” She exclaimed in anger.
“It’s not like you to be this curious Georgia. What do you want? You are starting to annoy me.” Felicity asked.
“I want to know the reason you dragged me out here today. Are you trying to lure me into a trap or do you think I have more important things to do?” Georgia crossed her arms and raised her chin in defiance. When Connor had told her about Felicity’s suggestion, she was taken aback and panicked.
Felicity wasn’t the type to suggest such a hangout out of the blue. She must be planning something secretly, and Georgia did not want to fall victim.
I don’t think, I know you have nothing better to do. And don’t flatter yourself. I didn’t come here because of you. I only invited you because I did not want people to accuse my father of being impartial. Felicity said promptly. “Now, shall we shop peacefully?”
Georgia didn’t say anything more but remained cautious throughout the day. After shopping for dresses, they went to an ice” cream parlour and had dessert.
Meanwhile, the paparazzi followed them everywhere.
It wasn’t every day two iconic actresses were seen with an iconic business owner. They were a sight to behold and were quickly gaining popularity on the internet.
It began to drizzle slightly in the evening, just as the forecast predicted, and people took out umbrellas. A few moments. later, a storm started outside.
Felicity, Connor, and Georgia had just finished their tea at a teahouse when the news began to report an accident.
“It has just been confirmed that a horrific motor accident occurred on Eastside Highway, and the victims are Charles and Deborah Walker, who were on their way home from a party. No one knows their current condition but things are not looking good for the Walker corporation…” The newscaster continued, but everyone stopped paying attention.
Murmurs erupted in the teahouse as the Walker family was well known.
Georgia’s mouth hung open, and she reached for her phone, intendin g to call Caster, but stopped when she realized Connor was still with her. He would disapprove.
Her hands trembled as she locked eyes with Felicity who was casually sipping her tea like she didn’t just hear the disturbing news. Even Connor had shown more reactions than her.
Georgia knew immediately. Felicity had something to do with it.
