Wicked Scheme Lost a problem Got a man novel Chapter 112

Chapter 112
The following morning. Felicity was dropped off as usual and since she was feeling wonderful, she decided to go through
As she walked in, she noticed that her employees were unusually cheerful and animated, most of them no longer casting admirable glances her way after the incident with the drunk man, Jared. The sudden shift in atmosphere struck her as odd, but she dismissed it, doing her best to ignore the hushed whispers around her.
Upon reaching her office, Felicity discovered Beatrice standing by the door, a rare smile on her face and a gleam of exotement in her eyes
“Is something going on? Why are you happy? You are never happy.” Felicity inquired, perplexed. Felicity pretended to think before holding her chest and gasped, “Did someone die?”
Beatrice’s smile dimmed a little after hearing Felicity’s voice but she shook it off, “Nothing you say or do will upset me today”
“Really? Am I losing my touch?” Felicity asked with a provocative smirk. “I almost miss your scowl. Frankly, your smile is a bit frightening. You haven’t booby-trapped my office, have you
I just might have, be careful,” Beatrice answered, her lips still tugged in a smile, “You have a visitor inside.” She announced before walking away.
Felicity’s brow furrowed, as she had no scheduled appointments for the day. Curiosity piqued, she opened the door, only to be met with a surprising sight.
“Dad?” she called out in astonishment, finally understanding why everyone looked so happy. Their boss was back. Beatrice’s smile didn’t seem so strange anymore.
Connor, who had been seriously engrossed in reviewing financial reports, averted his eyes from the report when he heard Felicity’s voice.
“Oh, there you are, dear,” He said with a grin.
Felicity’s confusion deepened. “What are you doing here?” She asked, strutting inside before crossing her arms, “Finally, decided to kick me out?”
Connor’s grin faltered, and he sighed. “I wanted to tell you something”
“Tell me what?”
“I kicked Patricia out,” Connor admitted.
Felicity’s eyes widened. “What? Why?”
Connor’s shoulders sagged as he recalled the events of the previous day. He sighed heavily. “She tried to poison me again.”
Felicity’s face paled, and she rushed to her father’s side, frantically scanning his body for any signs of harm. “Are you alright? What happened? I warned you, but you refused to listen to me! I didn’t expect her to try something again.
“I know I’m sorry but can you blame me? She’s my sister. I didn’t think she would ever hurt me. Felicity,” Connor said with his head bowed. He placed a reassuring hand on Felicity’s shoulder. “But I’m fine. I discovered her plan before anything happened. But it was a close call
Still shaken, Felicity guided her father to the couch, her voice trembling with concern. “Tell me everything”
Connor shared the details of the previous day’s events and the reasons behind Patricia’s actions. Felicity, unaware of what

transpired between them in the past, felt a mix of disappointment upon learning the motives that fueled her aunt’s hatred for their family. At this point, she should stop expecting much from her enemies.
Her brow furrowed further when she discovered that Connor had allowed Georgia to stay in the house. “Why let Georgia stay she questioned.
“She had no part in this. I can’t punish her for her mother’s crime.” Connor answered.
“She must have known what her mom was up to.” Felicity persisted.
Connor shook his head in disagreement. “We have no proof of that. Georgia is a good kid, and I’ve watched her grow up. She wouldn’t do something like that.”
Seeing her father’s defiance Felicity decided not to push the issue. Connor was already hurting, and Felicity didn’t want to add to his pain, especially since she was partially responsible for the situation. She would just have to deal with Georgia
another time.
Unbeknownst to Connor, Felicity already knew everything he was telling her, she planned the whole scenario in her bedroom after all. She hadn’t expected it to unfold so smoothly, but she was grateful that everything had gone according to plan. God was really by her side. She made a mental note to reward John for his assistance later.
Yes, after Felicity had left the vial of poison that day, it was John who had come to pick it up. All the staff in the house were involved in the plan, and Felicity had leverage over each of them to ensure their silence.
One might wonder how the poison ended up in Connor’s drink when Patricia hadn’t put it there. It was really simple really. They put it after Patricia was done making the drink.
After days of close observation, the maids had noticed that Connor was cautious about what he ate or drank, often testing it on someone or something before consuming it himself. More often than not, he would wait for Patricia to eat or drink first. With that seed of doubt already sown, it was smooth sailing from there.
Yesterday, John had brought the dog out, pretending to search for a non-existent wedding ring after learning that Patricia was making snacks in the kitchen. When they heard she had prepared chocolate milk, they were elated.
Patricia, obsessed with maintaining her slim figure, never consumed anything with fat. If she wouldn’t drink the milk, Connor would be too scared to drink it either and would likely look for something else to test it on-that’s where the dog came into play. From the beginning, Billy’s life had been prepared to be sacrificed.
When Patricia accidentally spilled her drink, it was at that moment John seized the drink. How did he do it?
While wiping the table, John had discreetly dusted the poison from his handkerchief into Connor’s drink while he was distracted. The poison was so potent that only a few particles could kill a grown man, let alone a dog.
Connor, reluctant to risk the se**nts’ lives due to his insecurities, turned his attention to the dog that had been conveniently placed in front of him from the beginning. Everything went according to plan.
And of course, in case their plan had gone wrong and Connor had indeed drank the milk without testing it on the dog, John was given a special pill that would prolong his life until the medics arrived.
The liquid Connor discovered among Patricia’s belongings was the dissolved poison in the water. To cover their tracks, Felicity had dissolved the remaining poison, ensuring that any potential investigation would focus on traces of liquid poison rather than powder. It was a flawless plan.
As Felicity reminisced about these events, she gently patted her father’s head and whispered, “I’m sorry”
