Georgis eyes widened in shock as she uttered, “What? Why?” The disbelief in her voice was palpable. After a long, stressful da of slewering she had not anticipated returning home to yet another wave of drama, especially on such a nice evening.

I didn’t drag you into anything, you brat!” Patricia snapped before lowering her voice. “Georgia, listen to me! Felicity framed me, and I know she’s coming for you next. She won’t rest until we end up in the street so behave like you don’t know what I did. You have to remain in this house to avenge us.”
Georgia furrowed her brows before shaking her head. “No, Mom. Let me talk to Uncle. There must be a way we can clear your name. You know him, he will believe anything you say.” As she tried to enter the mansion, Patricia grabbed her harshly, pulling her back.
Just then, Connor emerged from the house, his face darkening as he witnessed the scene.
Patricia, unhand her now!” he ordered. “From now on, you aren’t allowed to have any contact with Georgia.
Patricia glared at him. “Can’t I even spend a few minutes with her? Don’t be heartless.”
Uncle, what’s going on?” Georgia’s timid voice sliced through the tension, her eyes glistening with unshed tears as they darted between the two siblings in confusion.
If Felicity were there, she would have rolled her eyes at Georgia’s acting.
Connor cleared his throat before turning to Georgia. “This must be hard to digest, but your mother tried to kill me in cold blood today after failing to do so before. I’m afraid she can’t stay here anymore.”
“W-What? I don’t understand, Georgia stuttered in shock before shaking her head in denial. “No, my mom wouldn’t do that. She loves you”
“She confessed in front of everyone today,” Connor said, his voice tinged with sadness. “You can ask her yourself.”
Georgia turned to her mother, searching for answers. When Patricia remained quiet, Georgia took a step back in disbelief, sobbing, “No… Mom, how could you do something like that? I thought… I thought you loved this family.”
When Patricia remained silent, Georgia collapsed on the floor like she had no strength left in her body. She held her head and continued to sob.
Seeing this, Connor was overcome with pity for the poor girl. He clenched his teeth before beckoning to the maids, “Take that woman out of here. And burn all her things after you’re done kicking her out.”
As Patricia was dragged away, she threw one last hard look at Georgia. Connor couldn’t help but pity Georgia, who remained huddled on the floor. He reached out to gently pat her back. “Don’t worry, dear. Everything will be alright.”
“But I don’t understand, Georgia said, her voice trembling. “How could she do that? I can’t believe I didn’t notice. Maybe I

“It’s not your fault,” Connor reassured her. “You were busy. No one could have guessed. Now, please stand up and go inside to
Georgia nodded and with Connor’s assistance, made her way to her room. The room was a mesmerising blend of elegance and charm. Lilac walls encased the space, creating a serene atmosphere. Pristine white furniture was artfully arranged, complementing the delicate lights that dangled from the ceiling. The walls were adorned with realistic faux foliage, giving the room a touch of natural beauty. It was a room fit for a princess.
As soon as she was alone, her demeanour shifted from sadness to anger, and she flung her handbag across the room.
She wanted to yell in rage but refrained, not wanting to draw any attention. “Felicity, Felicity, Felicity,” she seethed. “I’m so sick of hearing her god-damned name.” She clenched her fists tightly as she paced around her room. “First Caster, now Mom. When does it all end?!”
Catching sight of her reflection in the mirror, she winced at the smudged mascara and hastily entered the bathroom to wash it off. Her bare face revealed dark circles under her eyes and a few pimples.
Seeing her reflection, Georgia’s shoulders slumped, and she let out a dry laugh. Everything she had worked so hard for seemed to be slipping away – the chance to be with Caster, the best actress award, and the lavish life she dreamed of. And it was all because of one person – Felicity.
Here she was, withering away, while Felicity graced the covers of magazines. Felicity’s life was supposed to end ages ago. So why was Georgia the one suffering while that woman flourished? And why had her mother started a scheme she was too foolish to win? Georgia hadn’t wanted any part in it, so why was she paying the consequences?
Exhausted, Georgia slid down to the cold bathroom floor, gazing up at the lights. She needed to start piecing her life back together before everything was taken away.
At this point, she couldn’t trust Caster anymore, and now her mother was gone. She was completely alone. She needed to find a way to get rid of Felicity on her own. Would a car accident be enough? She shook her head. No, she wanted Felicity to hurt, which meant she needed to target what Felicity loved most. Hurting Connor was out of the question, so she would have to focus on someone else. What about the man Felicity was seeing now?
If she could manage to hurt the man Felicity was seeing and also snatch the best actress award from her, wouldn’t that be perfect?
A devious smile spread across Georgia’s face, but her train of thought was interrupted by a knock on the door. It was the maid delivering her dinner. Sighing, she noticed her own dishevelled appearance before answering the door. She would get back to scheming later.
