“He’s one of the guards I hired to watch over my father. He came to pick up the posson your mother prepared for me Felicity explained. “It’s the only way we could meet without anything trace back to us“
“You’re really going through with this? What if something goes wrong and your dad gets hurt? Noah asked, not wanting Felicity to regret her decision later.
“Nothing will go wrong. Felicity replied firmly. “He’ll be alright. I will make sure of it.”
“Okay.” Noah replied before stepping on the pedal to leave the scene.
After a few minutes, they arrived in front of the Orion Group, and Felicity bid him farewell.
Beatrice welcomed her in front of her office.
“Beatrice, Felicity acknowledged the woman, entering the office with Beatrice following behind her.
“Felicity, how is your dad doing? I heard he was discharged yesterday, Beatrice asked, her brows furrowed with concern.
Felicity sighed, So much had happened yesterday that she wanted to forget. “He’s doing fine. He will come back in no time. She replied with a smile.
“Good Beatrice stated.
Felicity raised a brow, amused by Beatrice’s response. “You look relieved I’m leaving soon. I thought you liked me.”
“You’re alright, I guess, Beatrice shrugged before pausing. “What happened to your hand?”
She instinctively hid the injury from Beatrice’s sight to avoid questions. “Oh, this. A little accident in the kitchen. Nothing to worry about” Felicity waved dismissively.
“I wasn’t worried, Beatrice retorted, always needing to get the last word before leaving.
Felicity chuckled at the woman before examining her schedule. There wasn’t much planned for her, except for a meeting with the marketing team. As usual, she spent her time reviewing documents and searching for promising projects.
When it was time for her meeting, she left the office with Beatrice. This would be her first time having a meeting with the employees, as she hadn’t interacted with them much. She felt a little nervous, anticipating the younger faces she would encounter rather than the older, more experienced executives she had been dealing with for weeks.
The room was already filled with the twelve members of the marketing team. Felicity was the last to join, and the others stood up as she took her seat at the head of the table.
In the past few weeks, their opinion of Felicity had improved significantly, given the positive changes she had implemented. They were curious to see what she was like in person.

Chapter 102
As Felicity sat down, they followed suit. She gazed at each of their faces, trying to gauge their mixed reactions, and then motioned. “You may begin”
The team leader, holding a file, got up, and the room darkened as the projector turned on, displaying images on the screen. He began his presentation while Felicity listened and watched attentively.
The presentation focused on a new product they were about to release. The marketing team had put in a tremendous effort to create the presentation for the new product launch. Their dedication and hard work shone through each slide, as they analysed market trends, consumer preferences, and potential areas of opportunity.
Once the presentation was over, the room returned to its normal brightness. The team leader stood in a corner nervously, awaiting Felicity response.
“I appreciate the thorough market analysis, and your suggested strategies align with our vision for the company’s growth, Felicity started, “It was… splendid. I absolutely loved it,” Felicity smiled.
The team members exchanged glances, their faces etched with a mix of pride and excitement. It was not every day that their ideas received such recognition, let alone from the CEO herself.
One of the team members, Sarah, asked nervously. “We have a few unconventional marketing tactics in mind that might be a bit risky. Would you like us to explore those further, Ms. Orion?”
Felicity contemplated for a moment before responding, “I’m always open to innovative ideas, as long as they’re supported by solid research and reasoning. Why don’t you put together a proposal, and we can discuss it in more detail next week?”
Sarah’s face lit up, and she nodded enthusiastically. As they continued, the atmosphere in the room remained focused yet collaborative, with each team member sharing their thoughts and building upon one another’s ideas. Felicity acknowledged each person’s input, and genuine interest.
At the back, Beatrice nodded softly at her. This was what a true leader entailed, she thought. Everyday she was Felicity, the young girl managed to amaze her. How could she be so mature even when facing her mates? Connor did raise a gem.
Suddenly, a loud crashing sound was heard, interrupting the marketing team’s meeting and drawing everyone’s attention. As a second crash rang out, the employees quickly rose from their seats, curious to discover the source of the commotion. Felicity made her way through the office, tracing the source of the sound. She came across a crowd of employees huddled together, watching something unfold. As they noticed her approach, they stepped back, making way for her to pass. Pushing through the crowd, Felicity found a drunk man in the middle of the chaos, trashing the office space. She frowned at the scene before her; the man was yelling at the top of his lungs at a woman who stood there, her head bowed in fright.
From the words he was spewing, Felicity deduced that they were in a relationship-another case of an abusive partner. “You st***d b***h, how dare you take my money? The man screamed. “Who do you think you are? Do you think you’re better than me because of your fancy job? I’m still your boyfriend, g****n it!”
Unwilling to tolerate the ruckus any longer, Felicity spoke up, her voice firm and commanding. “Who let a madman in?” she asked, cutting through the noise and drawing everyone’s attention.
