Unloved Unwanted Unstoppable (Seraphina and Dominic) novel Chapter 53

The car stopped in front of a private restaurant. Chelsea had booked a room on the second floor. They sat down, and the dishes were served one by one. Seraphina had no appetite, picking up a forkful of greens and chewing slowly.

Chelsea took a sip of soup, put down her spoon, and looked at her.

"Speaking of which, Cynthia is actually related to you."

Seraphina looked up.

"Her mother, Marilyn Ross, is the younger sister of your biological mother, Eleanor Lennox." Chelsea counted on her fingers. "Your mom is the older sister, her mom is the younger sister. Cynthia is your aunt's daughter, making you two cousins."

Seraphina put down her fork, her gaze darkening slightly.

"I'm afraid it's not just a simple matter of being cousins."

Chelsea paused. "What do you mean?"

Seraphina looked at her, silent for a moment.

"She might be my half-sister."

Chelsea's eyes widened.

"What?"

That was five years ago.

Seraphina had not been married to Dominic for long. Once, she returned to the Lennox house to grab some things. As she passed the corner of the second floor, she heard voices in the study.

Alistair Lennox, her biological father, was embracing Marilyn.

"I've wronged you and our daughter. Just wait a little longer, I'll make it up to Cynthia. I've already arranged that project for the Ross family, ensuring she makes a glorious return."

Marilyn leaned against his shoulder, her voice thick with tears. "Twenty years. Do you know how hard it's been for Cynthia and me, hiding all these years?"

"I know." Alistair patted her back. "That's why I'll treat you both twice as well."

Seraphina had stood outside the door, shivering.

She never expected to hear something like this.
