After finishing the food, she glared furiously at Vivian.
"Call the cops if you have the guts! Let's see if they dare detain the Sinclair heiress!"
Over a damn pastry, no less!
She took another sip of water, sneaking constant glares at the woman across the table. She looked as though she had suffered some monumental injustice. Finally, unable to contain her irritation, she kicked the chair opposite her.
She gestured with her chin. "Push that over here. I want to rest my feet."
"...???"
Vivian finished the last of her milk, licked her lips, and looked at her with a lazy, unbothered expression. "If you want to throw an heiress tantrum, go back to the Sinclair estate. What do you think this place is? Throw your weight around one more time, and I'll throw you out."
Scarlett scoffed and rolled her eyes. "Now that Silas is gone, you think you're the queen of the castle, huh? Let me tell you, Vivian, I have a massive problem with you!"
"What a coincidence. I have a sizable problem with you, too."
Vivian folded her arms, looking thoroughly entertained. "Looks like I need to have a word with the property management. They're letting any random stray off the street wander in."
"You bitch...!"
Scarlett had been so furious she sat bolt upright, but after a second thought, she forced herself to sit back down.
She couldn't let herself get provoked so easily.
"You don't even know who you're dealing with. There isn't a single door in Northside that I can't walk through."
"Mhm. Right." That was actually true. Vivian had to admit it.
"What are you doing here?"
"I'm here to catch a homewrecker!"
"..."
Scarlett grit her teeth, her eyes practically shooting flames. "Confess and maybe I'll go easy on you. Tell me, what exactly is your relationship with Zachary Chase?"
Zachary?
Thinking back to the photos she had seen, Vivian immediately understood.
