Chapter 78 

Edward had lung noticed Felicia’s feelings for him, so why didn’t he say anything? Naturally, it was because it wouldn’t be well received if people heard 

about this. 

Even if it stayed within the Grayson family, it was still an embarrassing matter 

Having cared for Felicia for many years and treated her like their own, his parents would undoubtedly feel terrible if they found out about this. Moreover, once the matter came out, it would be impossible to maintain their superficial peace.. 

Edward didn’t keep the secret on behalf of Felicia but for the sake of the family.

“I just didn’t think it through at the time, nor did I have the time to consider my actions. I know I messed up. How about from now on, I run things by you first? Okay?” 

What Edward said made Melanie rethink her actions. It might have felt great doing what she did, but it would make things very awkward for the Grayson Lamily in the future. She had been so focused on retaliating against Felicia that she did not consider the bigger picture. 

“I treat you sincerely. If you can’t do the same, I can’t promise I’ll treat you the same way as I did before.” With that, Edward stopped paying her any mind, turned around, and closed his eyes. 

Melanie was dumbfounded. Had he forgiven her or not? How could a grown man be so petty? Though, admittedly, she was at fault here. 

She said a few more things to him, but he said nothing in response, which left her feeling uneasy. After all, he was her only support there. If he didn’t stand by her, it would be hard to solve any problems in the future. 

She swallowed her pride, grabbed an Encarian textbook nearby, and poked his waist. 

“You haven’t taught me today.” 

Without turning around, Edward replied softly, “I’m tired. I’m going to bed.” 

Melanie instantly fell silent after being shot down. She could only pick up the textbook and start reading by herself. When she looked over again, Edward was breathing steadily, apparently already asleep. 

Meanwhile, Felicia was still in Luca’s study room. As a man, Luca didn’t really low what to say to her about this matter. 

However, he knew that Felicia’s way of thinking was bad, especially since Edward was already married to Melanie 

They were also aware that the twins Melanie was carrying were Edward’s children, and the two of them were undoubtedly going to build a life together. Since Felicia had feelings for Edward, it was only natural that she wouldn’t be fond of Melanie. If she was going to cause trouble every day, how would they continue living peacefully? 

Right then, Luca also realized that Felicia must have framed Melanie for stealing Sophie’s golden locket the other day. 

Since she liked Edward, it was plausible that she couldn’t stand Melanie and wanted to make things difficult for the latter.
