Edward pulled a chair from the side and sat at the end of the bed. 

Melanie took a deep breath and felt herself grow warm. After all, who would help his wife dry her hair or thoughtfully apply ointment to her injuries? It was her own husband!

She wouldn’t have any problems walking around but limp a little. 

Melanie nodded. “Thanks. I’m sorry for troubling you” 

He sighed helplessly. “Just watch out next time. After all, you’re pregnant now. You must be careful in everything you do.” 

Some people would accidentally lose their children with just a fall, and there was no guarantee of the baby being fine if something happened. So, she had to be careful and try to prevent something like that from happening again.
