Serendipity's Secret (Melanie) novel Chapter 95

Chapter 95

Hearing Edward’s demands, Talla couldn’t care less about Henry holding her back anymore. She couldn’t help scolding Edward, saying that he had gone too far. She called him shameless for not apologizing and wanting the school to expel Felix

Facing her accusations, Edward simply looked at her. It was just a simple glance, but it was enough to make her shut up in fear

Henry looked upset as he felt he was being humble enough. Usually, it would’ve already been fine if they didn’t bully someone else. However, they’d never let anyone mess with them

Mr. Grayson, that’s enough. Our son has gone through a lot. We’re not even pursuing it further anymore, So, why are you insisting on getting him. expelled? Aren’t you being a little too much

Edward remained calm and didn’t argue back. After all, he had his ways to deal with them

It was a lawful society, yet Henry and Talia were being unreasonable when they were wrong in the first place. How could they belittle other people’s children and think that their son was the only treasure in the world? That was an outrageous mindset

Mr. York, please do something about it as soon as possible. Otherwise, I’ll take legal action to secure my daughter’s rights ”

Hearing that, Evan became serious as well. If he didn’t manage the situation well, he would definitely lose his job

*Please give me some time, Mr. Grayson. I’ll be sure to give you a satisfying resolution tomorrow. Since your daughter was bullied at our school, we’ll

take this seriously. We’ll never protect our students after they’ve made a terrible mistake like this. You have my word.”

Evan seemed to be in his sos; he wasn’t a young man anymore. Since an elderly like him had made his statement, it wouldn’t be wise for Edward to continue pressuring him. Thus, he ultimately agreed to Evan’s suggestion

After that, he left with Nellie and Melanie and ignored Henry’s and Talla’s tantrums behind them

When they left the building, Nellie looked at Edward with an admiring gaze. Dad, you were awesome! You have my respect!”

Edward was so imposing earlier that the couple became as terrified as rats facing a cat

He glanced at Nellie and brought her to the side to get her face cleaned. You did well today. If anyone else bullies you in the future, just fight back bravely. Don’t worry about the consequences. I’ll take care of it for you.”

Melanie couldn’t help glancing at him once more. She didn’t expect him to have the same mindset as her regarding education. Instead of letting their child suffer, they would rather let her fight back

She had a strong feeling about the matter because she had seen a lot of news about it in her previous life. In one of the news reports, a child died for being too kind

So, she often thought about how she would rather let her child be the one who hurt someone else instead of the other way around. Although it wasn’t the perfect mindset for a child, there was no better way to educate them

After exiting the school, Edward carried Nellie into the car and drove home

Melanie was really pleased with Edward’s performance that day. After all, not even a biological father could do something like that. However, Edward did. He really treated Nellie as his own daughter, which pleased Melanie

Then, she thought about how she had acted toward him when he was sincere. She never shared her plans with him, so it would make sense for hir angry at her

him to be

Thank you for today. Don’t you have to go back to your work? It’s not time for you to get off work yet, right?”

As he drove, he said, It’s fine. I’ve already told my superior about it, so I can just head home.”

Melanie nodded, thinking how she wouldn’t need to trouble him anymore once she found her footing in the city. After all, his work was unique. If sho had to call for his help every time, even she would feel annoyed if she were him

him

She also remembered what Gabrielle had said to her previously. So, she didn’t want to be a burden to Edward; instead, she wanted to be a good wife to
