Serendipity's Secret (Melanie) novel Chapter 79

Chapter 79

Overwhelined with shame, Felicia dared not raise her head to look at Luca

To her, Luca was someone she deeply respected

Due to her special circumstances, from the moment the Grayson family took her in, they had always been mindful of her feelings and had never spoken

harsh word to her

This was the first time in all her years with the Grayson family that Luca had scolded her so severely

Seeing Felicia’s face turn red as a tomato, Luca realized that he had said enough

Alright. It’s getting late. Go to bed early after dinner. It’s okay to make mistakes, but it’s not okay to be unrepentful

I know you’re a good person since you’re always the least troublesome at home. Just be mindful from now on.Realizing he had been too harsh, Luca softened his tone

her frustration since everyone was on

What else could Felicia say at this point? Even if she hated Melanie with all her heart now, she could only swallow her frustrati the latter’s side right now

After leaving the study, Felicia didn’t eat. How could she have an appetite after going through something like that

She picked up her journal from the table, returned to her room, and burned it. The thought that everyone had seen what was written inside made her so humiliated that she wanted to die

She figured that Edward must have also been disgusted since he saw it

Felicia’s heart grow even colder at that thought

She wouldn’t be this mortified if she had only written about her admiration for Edward. At most, people would just say she simply had a crush on the wrong person

But in her journal, she didn’t just write about that. She had even fantasized about Edward’s body, which was obviously unacceptable to others. Felicia was sleepless that night, and by the following day, she had dark circles under her eyes

She initially lived on the first floor, not far from everyone else’s rooms, but early the next morning, her family helped her move one level higher. This made Felicia feel uneasy because everyone else stayed on the first floor. Moreover, the second floor, aside from the study and sunroom, was mainly used as storage, with guest rooms only used occasionally by visiting relatives

With everyone but her staying on the first floor, she had the psychological impression that she was being excluded from the family

Ar breakfast, Felicia did not leave her room, opting to bring her food back to her room to eat

Melanie felt more at ease with Felicia absent. After breakfast, Edward grabbed his briefcase, got up, and left without even glancing at Melanie

If this were just any other day, Edward would have chatted with her for a bit, sometimes even driving her to the boutique before heading to work

He was evidently still angry. Last night, Melanie reflected on her actions and realized she had indeed been too hasty. She did not take Edward’s feelings

into account

A person shouldn’t only look at things from their own perspective. They must consider othersfeelings too

Because of Edward, Melanie was in a bad mood. She should have been celebrating her victory, but instead, she felt deflated

Seeing her downcast mood, Nellie hugged and kissed her before school, making her feel slightly better

After most people had left, Sapphire took Melanie’s hand, sat her down, and comforted her

What Felicia did is undoubtedly not something that can be brought to light. Be the bigger person, and don’t stoop to her level

It wouldn’t be good for anyone if word got out, so let’s keep this between us. Rest assuredLuca and only acknowledge you as Edward’s wife. No one else is even a factor,”
