Chapter 58
Chapter 58
Sophie Indeed couldn’t embarrass herself. After all, it was just a lousy dress. She couldn’t care less.
“I got it, Felicia. You don’t need to say anything more. I’m not accepting that dress,” she declared.
Felicia felt a sense of satisfaction wash over her. She was grateful for Sophie’s foolishness, as it meant that she could use her as the pawn in this game. If Melanie thought she could win over Sophie, she was in for a challenge.
Once Felicia left, Sophie stormed over to Melanie’s door with the dress in hand. she knocked on it with an air of authority. When Melanie opened the door, Sophie flung the dress into the room.
“Don’t think you can bribe me with this! I’m not falling for your tricles. Who even cares about your lousy dress?” With that, Sophie huffed and held her head high as she walked away.
next to Edward studying Encarian, was taken aback by Sophie’s outburst. She quickly regained her composure.

Frowning, Edward picked up the discarded dress from the floor. He turned to Melande and said, “Read the books by yourself. I’ll be back in a bit.”
Melanie feigned a look of grievance and nodded slightly, making her seem like a real victim.
Edward headed off with the dress in hand in search of Luca and Sapphire.
“Sophie’s behavior is getting out of hand. She’s not a kid anymore, yet she’s still acting so recldessly. We can’t let this slide any longer,” Edward said. He then briefly recounted how Melanie had gifted Sophie the dress. Just then, Felicia and Yaeger emerged to fetch some drinking water.
Felicia felt a pang of guilt as she heard Edward chastising Sophie. After all, she had been the one to egg Sophie on
Yaeger glanced at Felicia. His expression turned somewhat peculiar. He had just seen her enter Sophie’s room. It seemed likely that Sophie’s actions were Influenced by something Felicia had said.
After filling their cups, Felicia headed upstairs. She was about to enter her room when Yaeger called out to her. “Did you tell Sophie to do that?”
Felicia’s heart sank, but she kept her cool on the outside. “I have no idea what you’re talking about, Yaeger.”
Yarger regarded her with a knowing look. “Sophie doesn’t have much sense. She just does whatever others tell her. Anyway, it’d be better for everyone if we could all get along. If Edward finds out, he’s not going to be happy.”
There was a hint of a threat in his tone
Felicia wasn’t naive. She picked up on that right away. Her expression shifted slightly, but she nodded and stepped into her room.
Yaeger stood there for a moment, then made his way back to his bedroom. He couldn’t quite wrap his head around the dynamic between Edward and Melanie. He had thought that his brother was putting up with her for his sake.
But now, it seemed that Edward genuinely cared for her. He treated her as if she were his wife. Everything felt surreal to Yaeger. Edward even went to their patents to discuss Sophie’s beluvior, which Yarger thought was pretty ruthless.
Talward looked for Sophie after talling to his parents about her education.
“You’re in a child anymore, Sophie. If you keep acting this way, I will be disappointed in you. Your actions are seriously hurting others,” he reprimanded her coldly belier returning to his room.
