Ex-Mate Wants Me Back (Seraphina and Mortimer) novel Chapter 310

Chapter 310

Third Person’s POV

Mortimer took her hand, gently rubbing it, then pulled her into his arms.

“I missed you so much.”

That single sentence broke through the tears Seraphina had been holding back.

“I told myself I wouldn’t bother you again for the rest of my life… but I still couldn’t stop myself. I’m so weak, aren’t I?” Mortimer added.

Seraphina silently leaned against him. His familiar, sharp scent filled her senses, and the heart that had felt lost for over a year finally found peace. Even the mating bond she had suppressed deep within her for so long began to stir, reconfrecting with his

once more.

Yet she said, “Yeah, you are. Terribly weak.”

Hearing her say that, Mortimer let out a soft laugh and held her even tighter.

The feeling of finally having each other back after so long was something neither of them wanted to lose.

They held on to each other until the doorbell rang again.

Seraphina quickly went to answer the door.

“Sera, I brought you a freshly baked pie!”

Sure enough, the person standing outside was her neighbor Susie.

Behind Susie were Garfield, Thomasina, Edwin, Mortimer’s parents, and Velda.

She clearly remembered her parents saying that their flight was tomorrow.

Had she somehow misremembered?

“Just like me, they all came because they wanted to spend the holiday with you.”

Mortimer, who had quietly come up behind her, slipped an arm around her waist and chuckled softly.

“Luna Seraphina, we helped make the pie too, you know,” one of them said.

The holiday passed in warmth, but far too quickly. Garfield and Thomasina flew back to Los Angeles with Dash and Toasty, and the once lively villa gradually settled back into its peaceful quiet.

Mortimer, however, did not go with them.

He used his need for continued neurological rehabilitation in Germany as a reason to stay, and it gave him the perfect excuse to move into Seraphina’s detached villa.

That evening, heavy snow began to fall outside the window, while the biting wind howled through the bare branches in the yard.

Meanwhile, in the living room, pine logs crackled softly in the fireplace, filling the room with a cozy warmth.

Sitting on the carpet, Seraphina gently massaged the areas around Mortimer’s eyes and head, helping him relax.

Mortimer quietly leaned back against the sofa, his eyes half-closed as he let her warm fingers gently knead his temples.

“Does it hurt here?” Seraphina asked softly.

“No,” Mortiter replied in a low, hoarse voice. Then, using his heightened werewolf senses, he effortlessly caught her wrist, brought her hand fo his lips, and gently kissed her palm.

Seraphina’s heart skipped a beat.

Ever since Mortimer moved in, they had lived under the same roof, yet he had always kept himself restrained.

But at that moment, his wolf’s scent thickened in the air. The mating bond that had lain dormant within them for so long suddenly ignited like a wildfire, surging between them with an irresistible force.

“Sera…” Mortimer’s voice was dangerously low, carrying the weight of long-suppressed desire and primal instinct.

With a gentle but firm pull, he drew Seraphina into his broad, warm embrace.

“Mortimer…” Seraphina wrapped her arms around his neck, leaned close to his warm ear, and whispered, “Don’t hold back anymore.”

That sentence broke through the last of the top Alpha’s restraint.

The beast within him fully awakened. Mortimer let out a low growl, cupped the back of her head, and kissed her fiercely.

The kiss was dominant and passionate, carrying the unmistakable force of an alpha’s possessiveness.

His restraint finally broke as he deepened the kiss, while his hand moved slowly along her spine, leaving her trembling beneath his touch.

The pull of the bond made Seraphina instinctively respond to his touch.

Mortimer lifted her into his arms and lowered her onto the soft, thick carpet.

The firelight from the fireplace bathed his muscular back in a hazy golden-red glow.

As their clothes slipped away piece by piece and their warmth intertwined, the heat between them grew almost unbearable, as if the distance between them had disappeared completely.

Mortimer lowered his head, leaving a trail of kisses from her neck downward, a deep, low growl vibrating in his chest with every

breath.

Seraphina tilted her head back, her hands clutching him tightly as she surrendered to the overwhelming pull between them,

Beneath the warm glow of the fireplace, they moved together in perfect rhythm.

The power of the mating bond surged at the height of their union, The wolf within Mortimer urged him toward the final step of their bond. He lowered his head, his fangs grazing the delicate skin of her neck.
