30 Days Till I Divorce My Husband novel Chapter 579

Grayson knew deep down that he and Angel would never have the support they needed to be together. He had never allowed himself to entertain such thoughts. After crying behind the door for what felt like hours, Angel got sick the next day, catching a cold and running a fever.

Catrina blamed Grayson, saying it was her fault for not looking after Angel properly and letting her drink. But Angel, ever protective, insisted it wasn't Grayson's fault.

During Angel’s illness, Grayson made sure to come home on time every day. But once she recovered, he moved out. He didn't want to give her false hope. He needed to end her fantasies once and for all.

With Grayson gone, Angel fell into a deep depression over the summer. She busied herself by helping Estrella, but despite her attempts to appear cheerful, genuine happiness eluded her. She was eagerly awaiting September, looking forward to school starting so she wouldn’t have to stay home. She chose a medical school far from Ravenwood, in the capital, for her studies. Unlike Grayson and the others who chose law or finance, she opted for medicine. If her uncle was avoiding her, she thought it best to keep her distance and make things less awkward for him.

Grayson was surprised to hear about Angel’s choice of school. He hadn't expected her to pick one so far away from home. But her decision to study medicine made sense, given it was the best school for the field. When Angel received her acceptance letter, Catrina threw a lively celebration. The Ledford family had long treated Angel as one of their own.

Meanwhile, Taylor and Leonora had been apart for some time. Leonora was thriving in her school job, while Taylor had thrown himself into his work. Every time he thought about calling her, he remembered how she risked everything to break up with him and decided against it. They say the best exes are like the dead. So, he stuck to that rule, avoiding any contact with Leonora, no matter how much he missed her.

One Saturday, seeing that Leonora and Taylor were truly done, Joselyn decided to return the gifts Leonora had stored with her over the past two years. Joselyn’s SUV, despite its large trunk, wasn't big enough to hold all the gifts Taylor had given, filling the backseat as well. Knowing Taylor planned to move out of Southbay, Leonora directed Joselyn to drive there, assuming Taylor would have already left.

Sure enough, upon arriving at Southbay, Taylor was gone, and all traces of him had vanished. His clothes, shoes, toothbrush, cup, and even some of Leonora’s things were gone. Taylor, not wanting Leonora to throw these items away, had them removed after their breakup, keeping some of her belongings as mementos.

After several trips, they finally moved all of Taylor’s gifts upstairs. Sitting on the living room couch, drinking water, surrounded by the gifts Taylor had given Leonora over the years, Joselyn sighed, "Arielle, it would have been great if you and Mr. Taylor had just a bit more fate together."

Leonora smiled, "We were never meant to be on the same path, so how could we talk about fate?"

Leonora’s feelings for Taylor were complicated. In the first few days after the breakup, she felt relieved, but as time passed, memories of Taylor surfaced more frequently, making her feel more depressed. Now, back in Southbay and hearing Joselyn mention Taylor, Leonora felt a pang of pain, a tug at her heartstrings. This love affair had left a lasting impact.
