Last night, I really didn't want to let Leonora go, but I had no choice.
Lying on the bed, Leonora said, "Didn't we just meet?" They had spent all of last night at Southbay and only went to the office around noon today.
"Even after seeing you, I still miss you."
Resting her head on her hand, Leonora said, "It'll get better later. We can be together more often in the future."
On the other end of the phone, Taylor picked up a glass of water and sat at his desk: "Have you talked to your parents about us? Did they give you the family registry book?"
The mention of this made Leonora's head throb. She sighed, "I talked to them, but it might be a bit more difficult than I thought."
As for her parents' attitude, Leonora didn't say much, fearing it would upset Taylor.
On the other end of the phone, Taylor 'oh'ed, asking nonchalantly, "How difficult can it be?"
Leonora knew it would be tough with her parents, especially given Taylor's past reputation.
"My parents think you're too good for me; they think I'm not worthy of you."
"Ha!" Taylor chuckled at Leonora's words.
Leonora, not having seen each other for two years, seemed to have grown in emotional intelligence, saying sweet things to cheer him up.
Taylor's heartfelt laughter made Leonora smile. "Let's not worry about my parents for now. Let's see what your parents think first."
Climbing up the social ladder, her parents wouldn't agree; Taylor trying to accommodate downwards, his parents' thoughts were still unknown.
So, it was better to let him go back first and gauge his parents' opinions.
If both sides really didn't agree, then...
Then they would have to think of a solution.
At this moment, even thinking about future difficulties, Leonora wasn't thinking of backing down but was thinking about how to solve the problem with their parents together with Taylor.
If it were two years ago, she would have thought of running away.
But now, she believed in herself and Taylor, believing that they would definitely be together, even if there were difficulties.
Upon hearing Leonora's suggestion, Taylor said with a smile, "Don't worry about my parents. They won't just agree; they'll be thrilled."
He knew his parents well.
Even if they didn't agree, it wouldn't matter.
From a young age, he had always made his own decisions, and no one else could interfere or have a say.
"I hope so."
"Sweetheart, from the sound of it, you must really want to marry me."
On the other end of the phone, Leonora, propping her face with her hand, said, "You're already calling me your wife. Who else would I marry if not you?"
After two years, Leonora had become more humorous, and the relationship between her and Taylor had become more casual and equal.
Taylor was delighted.
Later, they talked for a long time, and Leonora, being extremely sleepy, fell asleep on the bed just like that.
On the other end of the phone, Taylor didn't hang up but listened to her breathing sounds, feeling very happy and content.
---
The next evening, when Leonora got off work, Taylor appeared at the school gate again to pick her up.
As Leonora opened the car door to get in, Taylor pulled her close and kissed her fiercely.
Then, they went to have dinner.
In the elegant private room, Leonora, with a lazy posture, rested her chin on the dining table, feeling deflated like a balloon when she thought about her parents not agreeing to her relationship with Taylor.
